Not worth it. Spend the extra money.

Never in my life have I had such hardship buying a bed. Couldn’t understand why online it says delivery but not to my house so had to call to make sure, the lovely guy told me to make sure I buy the slats separately as they don’t come with the bed (???????) and they were out of stock. Another week goes by and they are still out of stock. After some time they appear to be in stock, so I go back online and finally ordered the bed and slats. 2 weeks later I look on my online banking and the payment which was taken has been reverted. I had to ring AGAIN to find out what is going on to be told they have no stock and my payment has been reverted. No email no text no anything to communicate this. I expressed my frustrations. I also said it still says you can buy that bed online which is ridiculous if they know they won’t have stock for another month. She then put me on hold and magically pulled a few strings and the bed is arriving next week. The lady on the phone couldn’t be more helpful but the company is an absolute disgrace. Stay clear. Hopefully I will get this bed eventually.

I bought a 100% cotton duvet cover and…

I bought a 100% cotton duvet cover and was so excited to put it on. I washed it to get rid of the chemicals that they might put on it and put it on my duvet. That night I had an awful sleep as it was so scratch. The next morning I went on line as did all the tips that were recommended . (I was advised that if it didn’t work it was a low grade cotton). I put duvet cover back on and still scratching. Buyers beware! Cheep cotton, false economy.

Avoid Naas store.

On 21.08.2025, I visited the store intending to purchase furniture using a One4all gift voucher. Your official website clearly states that JYSK accepts One4all vouchers, and this was a deciding factor in choosing to shop with you. However, when I attempted to pay, I was told that the Naas store no longer accepts them. The manager informed me, “sorry, we changed our policy’s in this store.”

This is unacceptable for several reasons:
1. Misleading Information – Consumers are entitled to rely on information published on your website. If your company has changed its acceptance policy, this must be updated online immediately. Leaving incorrect information in place may amount to misleading advertising under Irish consumer protection law.
2. Lack of Consistency Across Stores – If policies differ between locations, this should be clearly communicated. Otherwise, customers are left confused, frustrated, and unable to plan purchases.
3. Failure of Customer Care – To make matters worse, after this disappointment I asked to use the bathroom, explaining that I am heavily pregnant and due to give birth in less than three weeks. I was refused. This lack of empathy and refusal to provide a basic accommodation for a vulnerable customer was not only distressing but also completely unnecessary.

As a result, I left the store humiliated, in tears, and feeling let down by JYSK.

Poor and unsafe furniture.
Bought a glass kitchen table which just break out of no where which could have led to a very dangerous accident if we didn’t notice it on time.
They wouldn’t offer a refund because we couldn’t find the receipt even though we have proof of purchase in bank statements

8 Stühle "LIMHAMN" im Mai 2025 gekauft. Nach kurzer Zeit ist einer der Stühle bei Belastung mit einer ca. 80kg schweren Person zusammengebrochen. Betrag wurde umgehend erstattet, Ersatzstuhl nicht mehr zu bekommen. Jetzt, nach nicht einmal 3 Monaten blättert an mehreren Stühlen die Farbe an den Armlehnen ab. Ebenso verblast der auch im Mai 2025 gekaufte Tisch "JTTRUP" . Kommentar der telefonischen Hotline: die Möbel nicht draußen im Regen stehen lassen und permanent mit der bei JYSK erhältlichen Farbe streichen. Absolute Frechheit.

Purchased a gravity chair last year &…

Purchased a gravity chair last year & it wasn’t the cheapest but the build quality seemed to look better than the ones you see in bargain stores which I have owned in the past & left them out in all weathers. & they held up pretty well . I’d purchased a shed & the old gravity chairs looked tired & I purchased one from here & I also liked the khaki green as most in cheaper stores are black .its been kept in the shed & I used it a handful of times last yr with the on off British summer & then I’ve used it 4 times this year . I’m not that young & neither overweight but today there was a almighty creek & both the arms at the back broke at the same time which caused me to fly backwards & I was holding a coffee which was hot . This failure of both arms must be a design flaw . I’ve burnt myself & hit my head on the rear fence . These are shockingly made . They might look good but beware . With it being just over 12mnth a return seemed to be pointless so it’s out for the scrap man & I’ve gone back to the bargain store & bought one much cheaper which looks not as well made as there’s but at least I know looking well made doesn’t necessarily mean well made . Today I got sunburnt but also coffee burnt as-well . If this is the type of things that happen with there products I’ll leave well alone from this store in future .

Ignoring the client

On August 3rd, I purchased a bed that I received on August 7th. After unpacking, I discovered that one of the key components was damaged, making it impossible to assemble. I filed a complaint that same day, and was informed by customer service that they were experiencing a high volume of complaints and were unable to process my complaint within the stated timeframe. I had planned to purchase a complete bedroom, living room, and dining room set from Jysk, but based on the customer service's treatment, I'll be purchasing the remaining furniture from other suppliers.

I bought a dining table from JYSK Ennis road Limerick, and on delivery, we noticed a big crack on the backside of the table. We have spent over €15,000 euro on furniture from them, so this was very disappointing. When we requested a refund or for them to take the damaged table back, the JYSK manager (Paullina) was extremely rude and unprofessional. She raised her voice and was very aggressive when we asked for a refund. On top of that, she didn’t seem to understand most of what we were explaining, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. For such a big purchase, I expected far better quality and customer service. I would not recommend JYSK to anyone looking for reliable furniture or respectful treatment.

Had an issue with Ashbourne branch and…

Had an issue with Ashbourne branch and without going into detail as it's the customer service that counts,I found the customer service to the call centre was excellent. My issue was referred back to the Ashbourne branch.i was dealt with by the Manager Anna McCormack who resolved my problem very effectively and promptly. Excellent customer service by both the call centre and Anna. I wish all companies were as efficient. A very happy regular customer

Faulty 4 drawer Limfjorden unit

Bought the 4 drawer Limfjorden unit.
Was a bit flimsy but was cheap so didn’t expect much .
However firstly the there was a bag of screws missing which I had to replace at an additional cost as I was under pressure to finish the project.
Then it turns out some of the pre drilled holes to attach the bottom two 5a parts were drilled incorrectly.
This caused a huge gap above the second last drawer and left no room to insert the bottom drawer.
Looks like this flaw was flagged as far back as 2021 and jysk continue to sell this faulty batch.
Customer care were useless.
I will never spend a penny here again

Sort yourselves out regarding store collection. It’s ridiculous that you cannot send someone else for collection. As someone who cannot leave the house am I not entitle to purchase items?

Phone lines don't work

Tried phoning but they either don't answer or hang up before I can speak. So I've gone and bought the items elsewhere because I'm not going to drive to the store and discover they are out of stock. This has happened before.

Bought a mattress from JYSK and it’s…

Bought a mattress from JYSK and it’s been nothing but problems. It felt fine in the store, but after a few nights it started sagging and offering no support. It’s uncomfortable and already causing back pain. I tried to return it but the return policy is strict and customer service wasn’t helpful at all. They just kept repeating their policy instead of trying to solve the issue. For the price, the quality is terrible. I expected better. Not worth it.

There policy states no time limit for return and they put me in trouble never replaced. Staff in Liffey valley store was too rude named Thomas . I ask jysk kindly be responsible for your policy what you say you guys never do . Never ever gone by anything ever. Worst experience 0.1/10is my rating

I visited your Liffey valley store on…

I visited your Liffey valley store on 10th July to collect my office chair. The package was quite heavy, so I requested assistance from one of the staff members.

While waiting, I noticed a staff member happily assisting another customer by carrying four plates to her car. However, when I requested similar help, he appeared reluctant and declined. When I asked why he was unwilling to assist me, he responded that the customer he helped was alone. I found this reasoning concerning, as I was also struggling with a large, heavy item.

When I pointed out that his response was inappropriate, he chose to ignore me rather than engage respectfully. This experience left me feeling uncomfortable and wondering whether gender or other biases might have influenced his behavior.

I believe in fair and respectful treatment for all customers and hope this matter will be looked into seriously. If you require any further details, please feel free to contact me.

Poor service

A staff member in Clonmel could not help me buy an item in Parkway Limerick. She also couldn't liaise with Parkway, instead giving me their number, so I spent 20 mins on my phone, sitting in Jysk Clonmel, waiting for a response. Bottom line was that they MAY have still had item in Parkway (the system is apparently unreliable) but the next agent couldn't get through to them. Even if she did, I would still have to drive to Limerick from Tipp just to pay for DELIVERY of the sizeable item to Tipp. Obviously I will work to find a more accommodating company. JYSK👎👎👎I gave 1 because the staff were friendly & understanding, as well as somewhat embarrassed about the disjointed service...However, they were ultimatley unable to help me because of JYSK policy 🤔
