So pleasant and easy to book holiday

This was my first solo holiday and I booked with Just You after recommendation from a friend. They did not disappoint. Both before and during my trip I was well supported by the team with quick responses to my email and a phone call to reassure me about finer details like hotel etiquette. The holiday was as advertised. I'm already looking at booking my next holiday with them.

Food in the first hotel wasn’t great but the location was good.
The second hotel was too far from the centre of town. Food was better.
Could have had better contingency plan for rainy weather

Excellent holiday - our guides were brilliant as were the walks and other activities. I enjoyed the company of a great group of people and have already booked my next Just You holiday.

An enjoyable holiday, knowledgable guides, plenty of activities and places to see. However the accommodation was isolated, although the food and pool was good. The wifi needs to be fixed too. Nevertheless the group and holiday was fun.

You are looked after from start to finish,& so nice to be with like minded people

Right from my telephone booking stage, everything has been easy and efficient. The telephone operator was helpful with information and suggestions when I was trying to decide which of my holiday choices to select for my September holiday.
I received my booking confirmation details as soon as my call finished. Final documents, flight details etc
and labels arrived a couple of weeks before my trip.
No effort from me, everything was arranged all I had to do was pack my case.
I was greeted at Heathrow and helped to check in by the Just You representative, met at the destination airport by the Tour Director. Everything went smoothly as per the instructions. (Not always the case when I've used other holiday operators).

Great and knowledgeable Tour Director, nice size group (21) everyone was able to mix and chat and get to know each other. Lovely locations for both hotels, good excursions which show what a beautiful area of Croatia the Makarska Riviera is. The coastal road is very picturesque.
Weather, group and Tour Director were all excellent, I really enjoyed my holiday and will be looking to book another trip as the new brochure has just arrived!

The holiday was great, lovely group, very good leader in Nensi who picked up a disparate group at Bari & led us through delightful experiences. I had doubts about the hotel but these were unfounded. Administratively, I didn't realise the group would be bigger than 20, it wasn't obvious; checking in on line you need to tell clients it's the flight 7 digit booking reference that needs to be entered as both the flight &just you booking references are 7 digits. Docs., arrived in the post, several days later the e mail arrived. At the UK airport make it clear a Just You rep will be at the baggage drop to cross names off & not to go through before your name has been crossed of their list. I'd been in the departure lounge 1h 30mins when I rec'd a call asking where I was, I had no idea a rep was to be at the baggage drop. Keep it simple, use bullet points.....as I say however the actual holiday was wonderful

I have not reviewed this holiday until now as I was waiting for a response from Just You to a complaint I made about the Hotel Palma in Pompeii where we stayed. With the passage of time, I now have happy memories of the holiday overall (other than getting caught in the air traffic problems of September 8th and wandering the back streets of Naples at midnight trying to find a hotel – another story completely and obviously not of Just You’s making – in fact their agents on the emergency line were very helpful), especially because of the other members of the party who were all friendly and gelled well. You cannot but be in awe of Pompeii and Herculaneum and the contents of the Naples Museum were incredible – those Romans were so sophisticated. Capri, Amalfi and Sorrento were beautiful and photogenic. However, the tour manager could have been much better, providing little information, and the Hotel Palma, said to be a 4 star hotel, is definitely not so and many members of the party were unhappy with it. I have travelled widely and believe my room there was the worst I have ever been allocated on such a holiday. Among other problems, the window started 6 feet from the floor, meaning I had no view all week, the shower tray was cracked and the surround dirty and the throw on the bed was stained. Just You say that star ratings are generally based on the facilities, services and amenities a hotel provides, rather than solely on the standard or appearance of rooms. I understand that, but I also expect a certain standard to the room I am given. The hotel’s good points are its roof terrace and it’s nearness to the Pompeii ruins. There were only 2 included excursions and as there is little to do in the area around the hotel, other than revisiting the Pompeii ruins, many chose the optional excursions, though these were generally considered to be rather expensive, adding quite a bit to the overall cost of the holiday. I have had 7 previous holidays with Just You and been happy with them – this one simply didn’t reach the overall standard I expected.

Slovenia is a beautiful country. The organisation and tour manager was really good too.

My 4th ‘Just You’ holiday and another amazing week, this time in the lovely little country of Slovenia. Fabulous scenery and wonderful weather with our lovely tour director Greta and Marco, our excellent local guide.
Our group were affected by the Air Traffic problems on 8 September….BA cancelled our flight and abandoned the 26 of us in Ljubljana airport at 10 o’clock at night!
‘Just You’ quickly arranged accommodation and a new flight back home for us. We were all very grateful.

The tour rep was very helpful and informed (as was our guide). On our return to the UK we were caught up in the air traffic control debacle and, fortunately for us, returned back to our hotel where we stayed until British Airways finally arranged flights to the UK. The rep even set up an excursion at cost price during this extra stay. The hotel was in Kranjska Gora which is a small and pretty village in the Slovenian Alps. While we were driven to Zagreb for our drive home (it should have been Liubljiana but the ATC issue scuppered this!) we saw how flat the rest of Slovenia is which means that we were certainly in the prettier part of Slovenia.

Went out of her way to help 5 of us that were stranded at the airport as our flight was cancelled. She made sure we had accomodation and food until our flight was resceduled .

The tour is well planned, and the tour director was top notch. There are constant 7:15 am starts and very long days, so it is very very tiring. Maybe that’s inevitable. Key reason for low score is as follows…you book a holiday with JustYou because you want a supportive experience for lonely travellers. Unfortunately they have built a terrible bespoke app that purports to replace WhatsApp groups..which are normally used to make sure nobody has to eat alone because they cannot find others in the group. Sadly, this Kindred app is unusable, for a variety of reasons. No one but me in my group used it. By the time, half way through, I realised that no one else was going to use it, it was too late, in busy Vancouver, to start forming my own group, so I ended up eating by myself when that was exactly what I was afraid of doing. People who find a gang of mates to buzz around with in the airport lounge are fine, but the shyer or less lucky people are seriously disadvantaged by this ill thought out change. The tour director was told that she had to use Kindred, so she could not take the lead and form a WhatsApp group in the usual way. I cannot recommend JustYou to new users on this basis…the enforcement of this useless app means that shyer people are left out in the cold

This was my first holiday on my own, and what a great experience! The nerves were soon swept away by the friendly group and excellent tour guide who made me feel safe and secure yet able to go at my own pace.
