I had a terrible experience with JobHero
I had a terrible experience with JobHero. I was charged a recurring monthly fee without any notice or warning, which was incredibly frustrating. The lack of transparency in their billing practices felt deceptive, and canceling the subscription was a hassle. I couldn't remove my billing information from their website. It was locked. To make matters worse, their customer service was completely unresponsive. I reached out multiple times and received no assistance or resolution, which only added to my frustration. I would not recommend this service to others, as it seems designed to take advantage of users with ongoing charges that aren’t clearly communicated. Be cautious when using JobHero. They do not even deserve 1 star.
09/17/24 - Adding comments based on response provided by JobHero. There are a lot of products available in the market that offer a free trial and then if you don't cancel, it goes to a paid subscription. I have personally used many, but they all send a communication to the customer prior to the trial expiring and each time the customer is billed. Also, they don't lock the customer's profile so the customer cannot update the billing information. You intentionally do not communicate to customers so if the customer does not notice their ongoing charges on their credit card, you can keep charging them. A company operating with a customer mindset will not do that, especially to customers who are looking for jobs. That's like exploiting customers. In reading reviews from other customers, it looks like you have been doing this for some time and despite reviews have not changed your billing strategy. Also, as per the email I received from you, the refund was only for September.

I agree about the other peoples reviews here this company's goal is to rob you. imagine charging you with a subscription without even sending you an email or warning. when you sign up they will charge you small amount for trial that is fine with me but you should inform your customers the trail is ending and they will be charge a monthly subscription so that they can decide if they need it or not specially when we are looking for job money is very important to us. 7 days before the trail ending is not enough reminder as not all of us checks email everyday specially when we are busy! i want my refund!

Extremely easy to use
Extremely easy to use. I needed a cover letter and it was as simple as answering a few questions and I got a cover letter. I submitted my resume and cover letter to my desired employer and was asked for an interview two days later. I was told by the hiring manager how impressive my resume and cover letter was and was offered the position during the interview.

Disappointed with the quality of resume.
I purchased job hero (Elsewhere listed as a free resume builder, which is a lie). I was suggested to use this service to rebuild my resume so that it was ATS friendly when uploading to employers job application so that it would better parse my information and work history from my resume. Sadly this did just as badly as my own formatting when uploading to each employers unique parsing software. Basically spent all day using this and wasted my time trying to rebuild/ format my resume only for it to continue to jumble up my information when uploading to ATS based applications.

The JobHero app has significant limitations
The JobHero app has significant limitations in its text editing features. It doesn’t allow you to adjust content to fit the page, nor does it offer alignment options. When downloading the file, paragraphs are abruptly cut off as they move to the next page, leading to a poor overall presentation. To make everything fit correctly, you’re forced to manually tweak the spacing between paragraphs, lines, or the text size, which is both time-consuming and frustrating. Additionally, the absence of a preview option means you have to repeatedly save, download, or use the print option just to see how the text is distributed across the pages. Considering that similar tasks can be done for free using Canva, it's particularly disappointing to encounter these issues after paying for the service, especially when so much time is spent on editing just to make the resume look presentable.
