It was super easy to get it at the airport and returning. Fantastic signals throughout Japan.

We picked up the wifi device at Kansai aiport in Osaka on May 31th as agreed.
The device in general works correctly during 15 days that we traveled with my family (4 members).
The main issue is the lack of capacity of the batery (at 15 or 16 h we need to connect to a external source).
Other defect is that a couple of times by day I needed to reiniciate the wifi device due a lost of connection with the rest of mobiles of my family.
Finally, the major issue was during our trip to Nikko where we suffered a lack of connectivity during half of the day, situation that provocate a lost of time for us, because we wasn't able to find the routes between different temples in the Nikko Area.
If I compare the perfomance of thw wifi with my former experience almost 11 years ago, I recognize that this time the performance has been worst that our first experience with Japan wireless.
However, we recomend wifi pockets device specially if yor are travelling in groups (like our case, a family of 4 members)

Very reliable, strong signal all throughout our 10 day stay within and outside of Tokyo. Strong battery, lasts for 12hrs. Easy charging.

Japan Wireless service was just perfect in all aspects. Easy to rent through the website, pick up and delivery. The internet connection was really great in all locals and sites we visited during our stay in Japan. Really recommend their service for anyone who is planning to have a trip to Japan.

We had 5 devices connected to this device during our travel in Japan for 12 days. We found it useful and worked well. There were few slow spots. They gave proper instructions to collect the device on arrival at Tokyo Haneda airport and return postage instructions at kasai airport in Osaka

This is my 4th time renting with you, and this time I rented two devices. One of them works perfectly, but the other has not been performing well. The power bank that came with it drains very quickly, so we’ve had to share a single power bank between both devices.

Best decision ever. First trip to Japan, never ran out of Internet connection. Great having a power bank also included. Nothing better than having peace of mind of unlimited internet.

Picked up our devices at the Narita Airport and used it through out the Tokyo area and all over Hokkaido for several weeks. Had no problems with connecting to the device or its connectivity to the outside world. Left my iPhone on airplane mode the entire trip. Dropped in the mailbox in the provided envelope at the airport when we left and got an email a day later that they had received it. This option was a better deal than using our cell service for the three of us in our party and I’ll use it again when we go back.

I have been using the Japan wireless for 7 years. This is our 6th family trips. However I would have to say the experience this time has been the worst. Constantly receiving low speed and had to manually reset the device many times just to keep it barely going for our trip. Several times we just gave up on the device and used our snail speed roaming data. I hope we were just unlucky for this one time.

This WiFi was perfect! It truly worked like a charm. It was used for my teenagers and they loved it. The transaction was easy and the pick up was fast. I would recommend.

It was a great experience. Showing the staff member the QR code associated with my order was sufficient to collect the device. The device was delivered ready to use. Its built-in battery easily lasted an entire day. Although a power bank was included in the carrying case, I never felt the need to carry it with me during the day; charging the device each evening was more than enough.

Throughout my two-week trip, I occasionally experienced brief periods of slower connectivity. However, for approximately 90% of the time, the connection performance was very good.

Before leaving the country, I placed the device and all accessories back into the carrying case included in the package. The package also contained a prepaid return envelope and shipping label. For the return process, all I had to do was place the carrying case into the envelope and drop it into a mailbox at the airport. The entire process was simple, convenient, and hassle-free.

Il pocket wifi diceva di essere carico, dopo un'ora smetteva di funzionare. Un giorno siamo rimasti completamente senza internet, per fortuna eravamo nella zona dell'albergo e avevamo soggiornato in quella zona anche due anni fa, quindi sapevamo come muoverci.
Una vergogna! Abbiamo pagato un sacco di soldi per rimanere senza internet quasi costantemente, pessimo servizio.

This is the 3rd time we rented the Japan Wireless portable WiFi. This time we did not have the best experience - we rented the device for 10 days. Pick up and drop off was very convenient. However, our device kept getting very hot in our bag so we had to keep taking it out or turning it off to cool down. The battery life was very poor so we had to keep recharging it. When we recharged it, the battery and device both got really hot. It became a safety concern and we did not feel comfortable using the device for long periods of time. Again, this never happened before so this time it was very concerning and inconvenient for us.

I could not fault this wifi box, it worked flawlessly for the whole 2 weeks. I never ran out of data even with 2 devices attached, I never ran out of battery even with it being used all day every day. It was fantastic and was a big help, allowing me to use my maps to navigate me around Japan.

The whole experience was simple. After booking online, pick up at the airport was the most convenient. My family was connected in minutes. We carried the hot spot with us daily and didn’t have to worry about battery life. At the end of our trip, drop off at the airport was a snap. We would definitely recommend this to any family wanting to stay connected.

I got my router immediately when I arrived to Haneda, there were no problems. The device worked quite well everywhere in Japan, even why travelling on a Shinkansen. The clerk was kind and helpful. The returning of the package was also easy. I'm absolutely satisfied.

The WiFi pocket or the backup battery heating up a lot during the entire operation.Limited radius range of operation.Longer time for recharging the WiFi unit and the backup battery.Disappointed of this consideration.The plus point is the setting up-straigth forward to use.

Best solutions for a family of three. It works everywhere Aizuwakamatsu also on the local train, Kyoto and Tokyo.
Perfect when you have a teenager who wants unlimited access to the internet and we could use Google Maps live everywhere. We used the internet a lot and it lasted all day, so we didn’t need to recharge it with the included power bank. It was really super convenient to pick up, use and return. We can highly recommend it.
