I have been trying to get a transcript for over three months to file my taxes. Normally, I could get the transcript only by logging into my account. For some reason, that option is no longer available. I wanted to go wait in line for IRS -- but now, you have to call in wait for hours and hope the phone does not disconnect.. and you have to call over and over. I question is why is there not an online option to schedule an appointment -- since it is so hard to get thru... The drivers license office, military ID section, etc.. all have online options to schedule an appointment.. Is the IRS trying to ensure returns are late????

I am writing this review as an awareness for the elderly citizens, or the ones which did not experience yet something like this. This review has nothing to do with the irs system or its agents, who most of them are wonderful people.

Today I have called multiple numbers in order to inquire about my refund. I was over two hours on the phone with different agents. No one could really help me, since they were all mentioning something about a "letter of compromise" which is actually called "offer of compromise."

I have been diverted to different phone numbers. When I called the 4th number 844-805-4908, something very strange happened. An answering machine was telling me that i am eligible for a $100 Wal-Mart gift card. I was not interested in that, but the menu did not offer other option. I had no choice but press #1.

An individual with heavy Indian accent answered, identifying himself as Ryan. He listened to me, and replied that he will help me to get my tax refund right away. That was the moment which triggered my attention and realized I was dealing with a scammer from India. I told him that he is a scammer, and I hung up.

Called the second time the above number. I have been forced to press #1 for that WAL-MART gift card in which I would not be interested. The same "Ryan" answered, and I asked, "Ryan, it's you again?" He simply hung up the phone.

Called the 3rd time. Pressed #1 for the unwanted gift card. A woman answeed. Same Indian accent. I asked her to provide me with her badge number. She replied, "I do not have a badge number." I said, "All IRS agents have a badge number." Someone was talking behind her, and immediately she said, "ok. I will give you my badge number."

I am sharing this experience in hope that other people will not fall victims to these scammers.

Also, the IRS should do something to protect us. After all, I just wanted to talk to someone about my taxes. Who will help us?

This company steals from the US citizens every day. Federally owned and operated by the same people who own the money printing businesses yet they still take our money that they created for no reason. The money never goes to what they say it does and even if it did, they don't need it because THEY MAKE THE MONEY. We need an uprising. We need people to band together to go against the IRS. They force you to file taxes and then force you to pay to file your taxes AFTER they have taxed every purchase you make for the entire year. They take money constantly and at the end of the year they take more. Even going so far as to audit you when you don't give them YOUR hard earned money. Let's be honest, we don't need to be taxed, they just do it to try to keep us all under control but soon an uprising will start. If they keep unlawfully taking at will what we all work so hard for, these small paper rectangles, eventually the US will either fall because of it or we will rise against a corrupt system and correct the mistakes of the corrupted. Soon.

This is the problem people of the USA! All government offices and our GOV have been hacked! We are under siege! Audit the IRS! As well as the treasury! Someone do something! Soon no one will be able to work go to court or keep their identity! Someone will intercept phone calls and mail every time. Help!!!!!! Called March 28, 2023 and the lady said she couldn’t help. She refused to do her job. They have been told not to help people who’s rights have been violated. NY said I was an immigrant and took everything from me. I tried to fight back and now I’m a target because I know the system had been seized and I won’t shut up.

They always have been working great for me and you just have to get your mobile phone or computer set up the right way and you will have no issues with the site,I never called or anything this year they were great ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍 highest rating I'm very happy.

The IRS has been super amazing and good to me! Amen and I wish all the employees and the administration the best. It's a hard job but they are helping many and I am one!
Being an Entrepreneur and paying taxes can be confusing and tedious sometimes. I had no clue I could get certain credits. They immediately helped me and issued overdue refunds way before the expected time. I never had a problem with the IRS in the years I been filling taxes. I know all can't say the same, but they are getting better. Plus Covid-19 slowed them down!

I suggest everyone to pray to Jesus and ask God to guide your tax preparer because they are over worked and underpaid, so let's pray for them!

Talk about complete and utterly trash it's mid February and yet again the IRS can't even update the website on time all of them deserve to be fired

I can honestly say this time the rep I had on the phone was so helpful and knowledgeable, she made my day:) even gave me hope after 1 yr waiting on my tax return, Thanks Ms. Lopez!!!!

I would rather crawl through glass shards covered in lemon juice than have the displeasure of dealing with the IRS. I wish we could dissolve this whole bloated organization. I think sentient wallpaper could run this better. Gagging at the idea of how much taxpayer money is wasted on these mouthbreathers.

Where's my refund from 2022. You all sent 2 letters stating that on October 3th, that I would receive it in 3wks. Next I get a letter stating you all owe me interest. WHERE'S THE REFUND. IN 2 weeks, it will be a hold YEAR. Did it take a year for you all to get yours¿ I was to hear from you all in 30 days, those days came and went. WHAT THE PROBLEM!

I had to choose one star in order to leave an review.. OMG.. I don't know where to begin. The customer service is the worst. The representative I had talked to me so rudely it was literally unbelievable that someone could work in this type of profession. Not only was she rude to me but, insulted me as well and hung up on me. The wait time is ridiculous trying to get an representative on the phone. Once you get one most of them are so rude, don't want to assist, etc.. Another thing, I notice when they come on the call they give their employee # so fast. I think they do that purposely

They have had my tax return for over a year now then oct 31 i get a letter from them saying they owe me 11 grand plus 600 in interest and I will get a check in 4-6 weeks but after 9 weeks and no check i call the number they gave me and after 2 hrs on hold I’m told wrong department transferred wait another hour then on phone with a lady for another hour so now 4 hours and all she can tell me is she doesn’t know why I haven’t gotten it and it still hasn’t been processed and just wait cpl more weeks then call back 😂😂😂

The folks at the Maitland Florida office were courteous, professional and competent, especially Mr. Rodriguez and his supervisor. They were able to help with a long standing issue that could not be resolved by fax or mail. Thumbs up and 5 stars well deserved!

After three or four frustrating attempts to correct information on my tax return..... dropped calls, "not instructed in that area", transerred and DROPPED after an hour plus on the phone....and the like, one agent stood out as she knew how to handle the problem and did so in a quick and efficient manner. Her name was Mrs. Blunt, # 1004022541, and she should be commended for her taxpayer service.

Horrible! They are unconstitutional; they are stealing our money. They just sent taxes from 2014 and 2015 after we settled with the tax attorney three years ago. Now, suddenly, we owe more taxes than we made. We were living in poverty in California during this time. They are crooked and betray the hard-working Americans.

IRS is a joke to say the least They “slow” as well you know . We gotta stop filling our taxes and give them at least a year or two to catch up. I ain’t no tax professional but clearly we can see they “overwhelmed” over there

We are in dire need of form ss-4 to remain an online seller, due to other government over-reach and regulation, and meanwhile, this governmentally afiliated assemblage of ineptude won't even answer the phone whatsoever to help businesses with ein issues. Our business is literally about to go non compliant because the irs won't help us remain governmentally compliant. 'merica

I am very frustrated with the Internal Revenue. No matter what the reason is, you can never get them on the phone. Why do I have to go through all these prompts and then when you go the prompts especially on the phone it says that they are extremely busy and try your call back. Well it’s not tax season anymore and you still can’t get them on the phone. If they are under staffed I am sure there are hundreds of people that could use a job. It’s very stressful and I need to speak to a live person. They try to confuse people with the automated system that after you push your prompts it clicks you off saying call back to tomorrow.
