-100 stars. IRS has made a mistake on our return. We are expecting a 500 dollar check. They are saying we owe 1000 dollars. We called to make them aware that we get 10,000 of unemployment deducted. No answer. Finally get someone after 45 min. She puts us on hold so she can look up the info. She comes back on, then says needs to put us back on hold to research more. After so many minutes, we are hung up on. We called again, and are hung up again. Useless people. Get your act together!!

I have been on the phone for two hours on hold right now I did my taxes in January now I'm being told now I have to wait 30 days again and they don't put anything on id.me either like come on every month you keep telling me 30 days we are in august, and you should not even get a star customer service has some attitudes we are the ones that should have the attitudes this is our money you're not given it to anyone free we all paid into it so we deserve some respect

IRS has by far the most disrespectful people working for them. Now someone used my SS # and filed for me. I had to end up mailing my return back. Long story short....I called gave them info waited another 2 months NOTHING!!!!! Now today I got time Im home and decided o call them The 1st rep picked up and goes "my name is not necessary, but my ID # is so and so" she said so fast I didn't even get to write it down. She then says "is this for payment or for a return" I said return, she just clicked the phone back to the automatic system and put me on hold again, mind you I was already on hold for 1 hr 23 minutes....now another 1 answered the phone , but this time the phone on her end was going in and out so I made her aware and automatically she gets an attitude. I say "Ms please understand I've now been holding for 2 hours so I'm frustrated and now your phone is going in and out" I'm not 100% sure what she was saying but all you hear is attitude she then puts me on hold and about 2 minutes she hangs up. Again had I owed the IRS money y'all would of been on my back and in my account deducting. YOU GUYS OWE ME SO WHY ALL THE ATTITUDE AND WHATS THE DAMN DELAY. I have not received no letters in the mail or NOTHING stating the delay. Get some respectful people with proper communication and less attitude to work. I'm a taxpayer I need to know what's going on. I can promise you if I was a white person or had it been a white person on the other end of the line he/she would of gotten the ultimate top tier respect. This is just so sad and if I didn't have to call trust me I WOULD NOT

So much for the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. The IRS has reached an all-time low. Speaks volumes for the current state of government affairs. Matters are not being resolved in an acceptable timeframe, agents are ruder than ever, and taxpayer assistance is totally lacking.

Worst Experience Ever
I received a letter from the IRS requesting more information about the death of my wife and they are holding up my refund. I have tried to contact them by phone and all I get is a computer that hangs up. When I finally reached a human, she transferred me to another computer that hung up. As far as I am concerned, they can keep my refund because they are not worth my trouble. Worst system ever for customer service.

Too bad that IRS is controlled by the government look like the population don’t have any right con complaint about it. There is some institution that must be gone for good. What is the people right to appeal if there is not any solid customer support line where we as people can complain. I was on the phone for more than one hour not fair. Today all day I have trying to reach the IRS customer service number and look like no one is available call dropped off as soon I call because there is no one available. There is some gubernamental business that must be closed.
Better system needed in order to help the general public
I wish I was able to make a kind response, but due to the automated call service Our IRS have in place. It makes reaching an actual human being virtually impossible!
To make matters insulting, the Robot service that setup doesn’t even give you the option to speak with anyone by using the universal “0”
If there is anyway someone can read this note. Please fix the automated system, or just hire a couple of switchboard operators.
For you see, My last year of working before becoming disabled was November of 2019, & I filed and I was to be granted a return.
Well, I just found out that a return was issued and then returned back to the IRS. I am in need of my return.

IRS ROBOT HUNG UP ON ME TWICE
Their GD automated service hung up on me both times saying that "they are not able to handle my call because of the high volume". They're dicking me with my stimulus payment because they only see one acct number. I doubt anyone from Google or IRS even read these. What kind of f**** answer is that? "Can't take my call due to high call volumes". You need to get rid of the automated bs.
It doesn't work. Oh, the best part is it told me to call tomorrow. How about you call me tomorrow for wasting my
time. Yet again.

I usually have a rough time getting through to the IRS and getting the correct help I need but today 6/24/2022 we got an amazing person who was patient, detailed and got us all the answers and then some we needed and I just have to acknowledge this lady for her amazing job well done. I have bee waiting two years for my stimulus payment for 1200 dollars it is awful! So I just filed again no card came in the mail no refund! Then I got a tax advocate what a joke! They send the same letter out without any results. People are suffering because this money could really help! Someone needs to be held accountable! I wourld rate this a 0 if I could. I have been calling to fix a SIMPLE error that I made and yet the phone service is just full a f**king bots that don't understand ANY-F**KING-THING. Want to stop the direct deposit, "Please contact us at irs.gov." Go there, there IS NOTHING THERE! All this because I was told my refund was given to the bank -- the wrong bank. Well I will say this, if they don't email me within 24 hours, they can keep that return for all I care because I'm not happy. I wouldn't trust this 'non-funded' government organization with a 10 foot stick. I just want to SPEAK TO A HUMAN but no this deal is doing the same thing everywhere over the phone, "Due to Covid we are trying to get our employees safe." Where is my refund? There has been no movement on my refund! There are things that say I should have received a letter, but I never did. Based on the reviews I can say that I am not the only one who is having to wait

I filed my tax paperwork in Jan 2022. It's now mid March and I still haven't received my refund. I have tried numerous times to get in contact with the IRS to find out what's going on with my refund. Phone calls and app both say they can't provide info. When I try to go their online website to find out if they even received my return, you have to go through so much to prove your identity and I can never get in. Seems when you owe the IRS money they want it by the deadline or you will suffer the consequences. If they owe you money, it's you'll get when you get it.

I filed my 2020 tax return and amended tax return. It's approaching 2 YEARS and I still have not received either of them. I try calling and NO ONE wants to dig and figure out what's wrong and why its taking this absurd amount of time to get my money back. I will be on hold for HOURS and the people working there have the worst customer service skills. It shouldn't take this long and now I am filing my taxes again and I'm sure it'll take another 2 years to see this money. This is absolutely ridiculous. What else do I have to do to get my money?!?!?!
It's impossible to reach IRS through phone even though they provided a phone number
Received the Letter 6419, which states that I received some AdvCTC (advanced Child Tax Credit) payment, which I never received. There is a phone number on the letter for me to contact. I called 3~4 times yesterday morning. All I got was some computer responses and was hung up after was switched to the waiting line for a real person. In afternoon, I was lucky enough to get into the waiting line. I waited, waited and waited. I did not want to give up because it's so hard to get into the waiting line. In the end, I had to give up after waited for over 2 hours.
Today, I am more experienced to deal with the computer answering machine. I can get into the waiting line with less frustration. I waited for over 30 minutes in the morning. Then, the line dropped. I tried again during lunch hour, more than half an hour later, I was delighted to hear a real person's voice. She gave an ID number, which I did not have time to take it down. Then, I tried to explain my problem. However, I never heard anything further from her. I did not know when she muted my line.
Now, I am still trying. I have been waiting for more than an hour now.
