I TOOK A FUNERAL INSURANCE IN 2004 AS A LEVEL PREMIUM POLICY. IN 2009 INSURANCE LINE CONVERTED MY POLICY TO A STEPPED POLICY AND INCREASED THE PREMIUMS FROM $124,06 IN 2009 TO $200.23 IN FEBRUARY2014. AFTER I COMPLAINED THEY CHANGED MY POLICY TO A FIXED POLICY
I NOW PAY$230.63 PER MONTH FOR A BENEFIT OF $9000 FOR ME AND MY WIFE. IF I STOP PAYING I LOSE ALL MY BENEFITS.
INSURANCELINE TOWER AND TAL MALICIOULY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF POLICY HOLDERS.STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM ASIC REPORTED ON AN EXCESSIVE CANCELLATION IN 2014 AND DID NOTHING TO STOP THE ROT I GIVE THEM MINUS 10

Get it in your heads Insuranceline, only scammers ring people up now days!. The phone call I over heard you people had with my brother sounded way too much like a scam call and omg didn't it cause some temper in our house and when I phoned to complain..... The government does NOT force companies to phone people!!!! I'm glad I dont have a policy with Insuranceline and I NEVER EVER WILL!!!!! Poor poor poor

Incompetent decision re: document security.

Recent decision by Insuranceline to password-protect client documents has prompted this review. They sent out an email advising that my policy documents will now be password protected, and that the password was my date of birth. Date of birth is one of the first things anyone seeking access to someone elses password protected documents will try. A person's date of birth is not a secret. And to make matters worse, the email telling me that the password is my date of birth, included my policy number, thus rendering the whole exercise useless.

Hi I cancelled my insurance policy over 2 months ago on the phone it was never done then they Direct Debit me take the money I would never use insurance line again they are the worst insurance company in the world .

Policy cancellation

I wanted to cancel my policy due to relocating overseas and the operator I spoke to really gave me a hard time to try stay on even though I told him I was MOVING OVERSEAS like seriously?? He really wouldn’t take NO for an answer and this made me angry jeez

Completely took my grandfather for a ride. Service officer was very, very rude when we cancelled the poilcy after him paying for 15 years. Would not recommend to ANYONE.

Praying on Elderly - Disgraceful and Immoral

Our grandmother thought she was helping her family, paying for her funeral. What an absolute FARCE. Her entitlement after years of direct payments that continually increased. She received a 1/3 of what she outlaid ....wont even cover half of her funeral costs.

This is the worst insurance company I…

This is the worst insurance company I have ever come across in the whole world. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go through what I'm going through. After paying for my income protection for many years, I changed houses and notified them about change of address. They did not change my address. My direct didnt go thru for 2 months and they were sending letter to my old address. Then they decided to cancel my policy without even writing an email. I then tried to ask them to reinstate my policy and they said "no" you have to open a new one. After many year of contributing $140/month ... all my money gone. I'm hurt .

Predating seniors and the elderly…

These people are predating mainly seniors and the elderly. A lot of the reviews below are relating to those who have recently signed up, and of course they are affable and friendly, initially. Just wait when you see your premiums escalate! I know from my own experience, how they con you from the outset, by not divulging the details. You end up being locked into a system that is far in excess of the amount that will finally be paid out -or in many cases, people are forced to relinquish their policy -because it becomes unaffordable- and they lose the lot. These people are unconscionable, but it's the politicians who have neglected seniors and the elderly, by not equipping regulatory bodies like ASIC, tantamount to them being "a paper tiger" with inadequate laws, and therefore, leaving Insuranceline open to abuse the elderly, carte blanche.

Lack of privacy protection

I have had my address deatils given out before they knew i was the policy holder.

I still have not got my gift card but due to the lack of privacy protection i will be leaving.

Its not worth it.
