UPDATE: After speaking with Jamie at their customer service team, returning the trainers for inspection by their operations manager, ihateironing accepted that the trainers did not need the standards necessary and were damaged, and agreed to a refund of the cleaning fee and half the value of the trainers. For this reason I’ve changed the review from 1* - 3* (the customer service post mishap I must say was actually worth 5*… credit where credit is due! Thanks Jamie)
I had a pair of trainers cleaned (specifically my favourite pair of trainers) and they have come back so much worse than when I sent them off!? They are ruined, and I don’t even know if I can find a new pair online as they are limited edition. GREAT!
I received an email trying to absolve them of responsibility if the colour fades because of the cleaning process and that they can t be liable. When I asked what method they planned on using g they said steaming and scrubbing where appropriate but professional shoe cleaning methods no washing machine. I OK’d it and in hindsight I should have said no at this point.
They’ve come back to me dark (not faded, actually stained), the suede has been scrubbed completely off in areas leaving them with bald spots. They look dirtier now than when I sent them off?
I am really upset - these were my favourite trainers that had a lot of sentimental value hence having them cleaned. I specifically told them that they were of high value and to be careful, and they haven’t ‘faded’ they’ve visibly damaged them and made them look 10x worse.
Gutted and will NEVER use these guys again. In all honesty I may even look into small claims court because the trainers are worth a lot of money, and I agreed to some colour fade not direct damage to them and them to overall look so much worse!

I don't hate ironing - as long as it's done by others. I use the ihateironing service for dry-cleaning, though it can also be used for laundry and other things as well. Items are collected, cleaned, pressed and returned 24 hours or so after collection (you can specify the date and hour of collection and return). It's a great time-saver. Where I live, the cleaning is done, excellently, by Southwark Dry Cleaning. ihateironing provides the website, ordering, helpful notifications and general co-ordination. The two (IHI and SDC) work seamlessly together; it is a very well thought-out system and very easy to use. Highly recommended.

Fantastic! I cannot believe how much effort they put into my laundry. My cat destroyed my whole wardrobe when he got shut in and needed the toilet. They took our clothes and transformed them. We have used this service for dry cleaning and consistently we get our clothes back in pristine condition. Thank you so much!

What a great…NO, excellent service!
I spent all week stressing about how I’d get a new jumpsuit altered for a wedding I’m attending this week. Work has been full on and I didn’t have the time to sort it… so I came online and found I hate ironing. I was nervous at first but figured I had no choice. I booked online to have the jumpsuit altered adding specific measurements to the order notes and hoped for the best. They came and collected within the hour on a Friday afternoon and quoted a return on Monday evening. They called on Saturday to clarify what I needed, which is fine because better safe than sorry on an expensive garment. Monday evening I was headed back from work and my doorbell app shows they’re right on time once again. When I get home I find my beautiful jumpsuit in a black dress bag and nervously retrieve it to try it on.
… it ….was ….perfect! Thank you so much for actually doing what you say, such a convenient service, at a reasonable price too. I’m very happy with the alterations I hate ironing completed. You have a new customer!
