1 Star – Hiplok Z LOK COMBO
Absolutely unbelievable convenience for the first 12 months but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
Bearing in mind I’m a very light rider usually just to the shops and back. The Hiplok Z LOK COMBO was probably used once a week at most. Convenience was the whole reason I bought it: in, out, lock the bike and go.

After 12 months, the lock completely failed. The final number on the three-digit combination became resistant to turning and the release mechanism simply wouldn’t open.

The result…. Standing outside the butchers for two hours, on one of the hottest days of the year, waiting for a friend to arrive with a grinder to physically cut the lock off my bike.

Absolutely embarrassing and completely unacceptable for a lock that has had such light use.

The most concerning part is this if this had been one of Hiplok’s thicker, more substantial locks, what exactly would I have done? Or an elderly person with no contacts?

A bike lock has one fundamental job. You need to be able to unlock your own bike.

After my experience with the Hiplok Z LOK COMBO, I simply couldn’t trust this brand again.

I’ve had an issue with my £299 Hiplok DX1000. I’ve already contacted the company through both Instagram and their website, but unfortunately I haven’t received a reply yet.

I’m hoping their customer service team will get back to me soon and help resolve the issue, especially considering this is a premium product.

I bought a product advertised as "3 for the price of 2." Be careful, this wording is misleading. The photos show the items in packs of 2, so "3 for the price of 2" naturally reads as 3 items for the price of 2. In reality, the offer means 3 packs for the price of 2 — a crucial distinction that is stated nowhere clearly in the listing.

It's a play on words between "item" and "pack" that creates confusion at the buyer's expense: the listing and photos suggest one thing, while what you actually get is another. I don't consider this an honest way to present an offer, and based on this experience I can't recommend buying here. Check exactly what you're paying for before you order (Order #HIP48608)

Quality product which will hopefully live up to its anti-grinder expectations. The dust cover / reminder is a bit gimmicky, and I still think an alarmed disc lock adds to the deterrent.

The D1000 range of locks are great. A real deterrent to thieves and the only ones that thieves won't even attempt to have a go at. So What really irks me is when Hiplok have a sale as they did on black friday, they exclude their best locks, their D1000 range, from any discount! A real daft marketing concept.

The 2m cable deceived me and my ebike was stolen. The U-lock was intact

The lock I bought is HIPLOK DX1000 for my motorcycle , fits over my front wheel no problem. Can leave the bike with confidence with a combination of other locks I use . 👍 would definitely recommend this lock

It took 14 days to have the items!
It is not acceptable this lousy service of shipment for an expensive order.

Unreal service, shipped lightning fast, and so in need here in Southern California. Being able to deploy to the frame & rear wheel alone is enough to deter any potential thief. Trust me, I have had physical altercations regarding my high-end road bikes. I also suggest placing your bike in its highest gear to prevent quick departure as well. Cheers!

Hiplok couldn’t do enough to help me regarding the Airlok I am delighted and reassured to own/use. Sort of customer care that rarely see, a great brand and a great team to back up the great products.

I will champion them even more so now. Don’t hesitate to buy….. you’ll be glad that you did.

Order has not yet arrived almost 3 weeks after ordering so cannot review product

DX 1000 Great product, well designed except that for a £250 I would have thought a reminder system would have been included (Ie a brightly coloured cable to attach to the bars of the bike). The result for me a £1000 repair bill for my R1200RS and a trashed £250 D lock Do not buy unless you get a reminder system to go with it.. too easy to forget when returning to the bike at night after work...!!!!! They even paint it Black for Goodness sake!

Amazing lock and very solid but also a very heavy lock for your bike okay it’s acceptable to withstand the grinder and needs to be heavy duty but damn it’s a heavy lump,Other than that I was given a 10% off the rrp but that was for accessories and not the main lock item self which was £299.00..Other than that it makes you feel confident parking the bike anywhere suitable to take the lock and around the bike frame

Hiplok d1000 keys are cheap metal bend break easy don't make sens make a ok lock but cheap key.

DXF lock is useless for practical use. It is so short that you can not include the rear wheel which is standard security advice. Additionally it is so small that you can't even lock the bike to certain bike racks. This is a standard commuter bike with a steel frame (so narrower than average).

Purchased the DXF lock from Evans Cycles. Testing the lock requires removing it from packaging. Evans Cycles refuses returns of anything opened and Hiplok told me that since I didn't purchase it directly from them they couldn't provide any help. They recommended purchasing additional locks instead.

I was encouraged by my local police service to register my tri-bike and consider upgrading my security. So searched online and found Hiplok. Plenty of choice and able to select the most suitable for my needs. I ordered on Wednesday and received my new lock and cable on Friday. Excellent service by Hiplok and DHL - kept well informed. I then registered my lock with Hiplok which was very easy and straightforward. Quality is excellent for the DX lock and cable. I consider it value for money. No hesitation to recommend Hiplok to others from my experience.

Fantastic customer response and communication from Megan at Hiplok. Lost my spare keys and they offered to swap the barrel as the keys may have been stolen. Unfortunately the barrel swap didn't go as planned and they sent a new lock FOC. Which was great news.

Excellent customer service. They replied to all correspondence within an hour or so and offered to replace a broken bracket free of charge without any questions. The lock itself is great, compact and secure, and the customer service is outstanding.
