Interesting - Hey Broadband only respond to positive reviews. I submitted a review on Trustpilot 6 days ago (Complaint CPL0007447). I'm astounded by the appalling lack of response. I am still suffering laggy internet response and wireless signal is worse than we had with our our Adtran router. The router did not require replacing nor did the internal fibre lead - the problem was at the centre. For the pleasure of having two engineers arrive (one barefoot in my house) I am now being charged £100 (which I was not advised of!!) for an engineer visit. The customer support response and level of service beggars belief!!!! Come on Hey!Broadband try and redeem yourselves. Still waiting for answers

Thanks for your feedback. We'd like to address one point directly, as it's important for other readers.

We do not only respond to positive reviews. In fact, we have an internal process for handling all Trustpilot reviews, regardless of rating. Where a review contains account-specific concerns, we often request additional information via Trustpilot because we're unable to identify a customer's account from a Trustpilot username alone. This is both for security reasons and to ensure any response we provide is accurate, detailed, and relevant to the issues being raised.

In your case, we requested further information so we could properly investigate the concerns around the outage, engineer visit, charges, and ongoing service issues before providing a public response. Without access to the account details, we risk giving incomplete or inaccurate information.

Having reviewed the information available, we can see the no-service fault was reported on 28 May and, following remote diagnostics, was escalated for an engineer visit as it appeared further investigation on-site was required. We appreciate this was a frustrating experience, particularly given the disruption caused and your concerns regarding the subsequent charge and wireless performance.

Your complaint remains under review through the appropriate channels, and we appreciate your patience while this process is completed. We take the concerns you've raised seriously and will continue to investigate them thoroughly.

Becareful when you leave

Joined for just over 2 years with promotion. Very good price and the performance was not excellent but it was good enough most of the time.

Never got to the bottom of the performance issues after contacting customer services - they are really not good with tech issues. Couldn't see anything wrong but I kept getting low bandwidth and having to restart the router everyday.

Eventually left but they charge you an absolute bomb before you can leave and I sent the equipment back but they just said they never received it and charged me even more money!

Don't go with these guys, they are cheap because they get money back in other ways.

While it's good to hear you found the pricing competitive and the service generally usable, it's disappointing that the performance issues you experienced were never fully resolved. Requiring daily router reboots is clearly not acceptable, and if technical issues remain unresolved after support has been involved, we understand why you would be frustrated.

We're also concerned to hear about the equipment return and subsequent charges. If equipment has been returned, this should be properly investigated rather than simply assumed to be outstanding.

had a problem connecting on to internet, Ash quickly
identified the problem on a device, He calmly and patiently talked us through it to get it working again, not easy when talking to "old people"! and no kids to help us. He was very professional and had a good sense of humor. if any more problems we would always ask for ASH

Got the broadband service over a year…

Got the broadband service over a year ago being told one of the best out there so finished with BT/EE and move over what a complete joke. Sent out a guy in a car not a company van didn't have enough cable the lay new cable so he spliced the BT cable came into my home dropped tv on the floor broke the aerial connector and side of tv, gave me a password to set it up then left without seeing it working. I spent many days on the phone to IT DEPT trying to get it sorted out no joy telling me my 2 year old tv wasn't a smart tv when it is,sent pics of damage and now on my 7th complaint after only being put on broadband as a guest so everybody else can piggy back for nothing and now because I have told them I refuse to pay they are now threatening me with debt collection.
To anyone that's thinking of HEY BROADBAND don't do it I'm now seeking advice from OFCOM,TRUSTPILOT and a LAWYER one of my most recent complaints Is CPL0006836 and it's amazing when you make a good review this company replies but a bad one they don't care only care about the money they are making

Excellent service

Pedro Brito was an excellent engineer who fitted the router with no issues. He was friendly, patient with me and really understanding as I had to call my landlord for permission to drill. He answered all the questions that I had, gave his professional recommendations and done an amazing, neat job on the inside and outside of the flat. Couldn’t ask for a better service!

No internet for a year and cannot leave until I pay the 24 month contract in full.

Had Hey! Broadband for one year already - locked into a 24 month contract and it has not worked a single day. Tried to leave, but cannot as I have been told by Hey! Broadband representative that I will have to pay for the remainder of contract in full to leave.

Chris Bellott was an Amazing Engineer

Chris Bellott was an amazing engineer who explained everything in detail and informed me of the whole process.

Speed test showed around 900 constant and really happy so far to test the service out

Poor equipment and even worse customer service

Avoid their mesh Wi-Fi. The equipment is useless and gives terrible coverage.

I emailed to cancel the Mesh add on, on day 12, inside the 14-day cooling-off window. Because I missed their return calls while travelling, they closed my ticket and tried to hit me with an early termination fee. Their excuse is that the phone call was necessary for security reasons but I never gave them authorisation to close my ticket. They didn't even notify me they closed it until I started complaining!

Instead of fixing their own mistake, they tried to haggle with me, first offering 50% off the incorrectly applied fee, then dropping it to £50. Total gaslighting.

They only backed down and dropped the fee to zero when I quoted their own terms back to them and demanded a deadlock letter for the Ombudsman. So stand your ground if you are in the right. Of course the fees were dropped 'as a gesture of goodwill' and denying all responsibility.

Fibre line is fine, but customer service is a nightmare. Will be now reporting them to Ofcom for creating unfair barriers to cancellation.

Customer security is extremely important to us and, in some circumstances, we may need to speak directly with customers before actioning changes to an account. However, we recognise that clear communication throughout this process is equally important.

Excellent Broadband Provider

The pricing is very good and the service has been excellent. I only gave a 4 star review because when my contract ran out they tried to radically increase the price. With some bartering on the phone they brpought the price back down to just an increase of £3.00 a month from almost doubling it. The price I pay now is £30.00 per month.

Hard work !

The installation process was a nightmare! Took just over a month...engineers couldn't decide if a cherry picker was required...took 3 visits to then not use it.
