We have recently returned from a 6-week tour in Argentina which we booked through Heart of Argentina Travel. From start to finish, we were very impressed by this company, which I fortuitously found using a Search Engine. I initially contacted them via email outlining a rough itinerary and Jan suggested we had a video call to talk it all through. That was great, as we realised that some of my ideas weren’t going to work due to it being the wrong time of year. With his local knowledge and experience, Jan made alternative suggestions and roughly outlined a new itinerary based on our interests and preferences. In a very short time after that call, Jan sent us a detailed itinerary with hotels and activities etc. all listed. Once, we committed to buying the international flights, Jan and his son, Julien, then booked everything for us.
Just before the trip, Julien set up a WhatsApp group for us and they regularly checked in with us throughout the trip to ensure everything was going smoothly and that we were happy with all the arrangements. Any questions we had for them, were swiftly answered, which was much appreciated.
We loved the whole itinerary they put together and it worked so well going from south to north as we moved into Autumn. A special highlight was the incredible trip we did to the Puna Highlands which they recommend on their web-site – it was a once in a lifetime out of this world experience and something I’ll never forget. Special thanks to Gaston, our superb guide and driver. If you are a bird spotter, then I also highly recommend visiting the Wild Wetlands lodge in the Corrientes Province, which we would never have found ourselves.

Jan & HOAT advised us and they made the best and thorough arrangements. We were definitely surprised by the top quality and hospitality of the hotels, transfers, rental cars and tours we booked.
Everything went as planned, but we're sure that we could always rely on HOAT if something unforeseen would have happened.
Jan 'checked in' regularly to give us some tips or reminders for the next day/tour.

De accommodaties waren geweldig en pasten perfect bij onze wensen, de huurauto was top georganiseerd en ook toen we vanwege persoonlijke omstandigheden het reisplan aan moesten passen stond het team van Heart of Argentina met veel betrokkenheid voor ons klaar. Een heerlijke rondreis van 4 dagen in Puna gehad.

Geweldige rondreis en ervaring om Argentinië te leren kennen. Onmogelijk om alles in drie weken te zien en daarom hebben we ons beperkt tot het noordelijke deel. Jan en Liz hebben goed geluisterd naar onze wensen en reis overtrof onze verwachtingen.

Last May we (my girlfriend and our 7-Year old son) did a trip to Argentina. 10 years before we did also a trip to Argentina and Heart of Argentina arranged a trip of a couple of days around Salta, which was really good and we had a lot of good memories. This time around we wanted to visit the Salta area to enjoy the beautiful scenery, but now with our son. So we send Jan an e-mail with our wishes (for timings and accomodations) and a request for a nice day to day program. Jan was very pro active and did some nice proposals.
After a couple of adjustment we found our ideal trip. And what a trip we had! Starting in Salta to los cardones and Cachi, the routa 40 to cafayetta, the jungle road to tilcara, the salt lakes and many other stops.
Jan selected excellent accommodations (with a pool for our son and good restaurants). The driver/guide Frederico earns a special mention, he was a really great guide with a lot of knowledge. Always asking for our needs, interest and attention for our son (our son is still taking about Frederico and the rocks/stones they found together). During our trip Jan was contacting us serval times, to check we are ok and happy. We are very glad we booked at heart of Argentina again, and if we come back in Argentina (for the south) we will defently contact Jan again!

Jan & Lis have put together a fantastic trip through Argentina and Chile for us. Everything was really well organised. The accommodations, the rental cars, the transfers and the excursions. It is also very good that there is regular contact during the trip. Jan & Lis are always there for you if you have questions. We will definitely recommend Heart of Argentina to people!

While facing problems during our preparations for the nine-week trip through Argentina and Chile, we fortunately got in touch with Jan and Lis of Heart of Argentina Travel. They swiftly managed to realize our plans for the trip.
Once in Argentina, everything was accurately arranged, high standard accommodations for the night, top rental car arrangements and frequent contact to see whether we were doing alright and everything was to our satisfaction. Also the stretches we had to drive were well assessed.

Alles klopt wat in de website beschreven staat. Voor de reis hadden we reeds een goed contact met Jan om de reis te plannen. Ook tijdens de reis kregen we steun van de organisatie telkens er iets onverwachts op ons pad kwam, Jan had steeds een oplossing klaar.
Alles was perfect georganiseerd, de transfers, de gehuurde auto, de excursies en de overnachtingen.
Wij konden zonder zorgen genieten van patagonia! Top!!

Dankzij Heart of Argentinië travel hebben wij een onvergetelijke reis gemaakt door Argentinië. Onze reis was volledig op maat gemaakt en afgestemd met Jan en Lis. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Dankzij hun persoonlijke inzet en betrokkenheid tijdens de reis wisten ze een prachtig groot land klein, veilig en overzichtelijk te maken. Ze waren altijd op een positieve manier op de achtergrond aanwezig.

From the first orientation on our 6 weeks in Patagonia, we have had so much support from Jan and the people who help him. First video calling with Jan in Dutch, then some suggestions back and forth, always acted quickly. The experience was convincing, Jan understood our wishes well, we felt comfortable very quickly.
Jan's advice to walk through Santiago and Valparaiso with a private guide was right on target. The first 2 weeks were very active: the W trek, treks around glaciers near Perito Moreno, and hiking around FitzRoy. Jan inquired almost daily about everything going well, in terms of accommodations, transfers and car rental. When we unfortunately needed to return to the Netherlands quickly after 2 weeks (complex fracture of the wrist when tripping over a tree root), Jan helped us very well. He also ensured that we received quite a bit of money back from the accommodations where we never arrived. Really, if you visit Patagonia, this lovely group of people will help you with a trip tailored to your needs, and will relieve you of all your worries during the trip!

Net terug uit Chili kunnen we terug kijken op een prachtige maand reizen door Patagonië. Met Jan en Liz hebben we voor de 2e keer een reis gemaakt. Dit keer Patagonië, en dat heeft een geweldige indruk achtergelaten. Alles was vooraf goed doorgesproken en geregeld door Jan en daar hebben we weer van genoten. Heerlijk om zo op reis te gaan en te kunnen genieten van het indrukwekkende landschap. De accomodatie,s waren goed en gevarieerd wij werden overal gastvrij ontvangen . Met een goede huurauto hebben we veel km afgelegd op allerlei soorten wegen met de meest fraaie uitzichten. De wandelingen / hikes waren geweldig met zoveel afwisseling. Ook de gidsen in Santiago en Valpairaso waren enthiousast goed . De hike vanaf Estanzia Christina was een van de vele hoogtepunten. Jan en Liz bedankt voor al de organisatie van deze weer onvergetelijke reis. groet Marja en Frank.

We had a great Guide (Andres), good driver, calm and reliable and he is a parmedic ( extra save!). We felt always save and he helped us where he could!

A bit expensive bu I guess quality has its price!

It was a fantastic versatil tour with a great guide and driver Andres. The little downside was that we couldn’t cross the Abra del Acay pass and stay in San Antonio de las Cobres because of the road damage caused by rain. Also we couldn’t go to Hornocal for the same reason. I would have really liked to see Salinas Grandes and the high plateau. Anyway that‘s the weather. All in all a great experience well organized and superb accommodations !

Heart of Argentina Travel organized and guided our tour (family with children aged 9 and 7) through Argentina and Chile. It was really an added value that we could plan the route in advance with them so that we had a much more tailor-made and off the beaten track route and also tips on what to see. They were excellent guides as well during the trip. There was good service, pleasant accommodations and beautiful excursions. It was also very nice that we could always fall back on them in case of problems or if we couldn't figure something out.
Overall we had a great trip through Argentina and Chile

We did a really nice roadtrip from Mendoza to Salta in 2 weeks. Jan & Liz booked the rental car and the hotels and everything was perfect. During the trip we had contact via Whatsapp and they answered all our questions in no time. We enjoyed every day of this trip and would definitely recommend Heart of Argentina! If you have time; please visit the south and the north of Salta. The coloured mountains, the little towns, the Salinas Grandes, tasting wines, the recta del tin tin: it is the best! You won't regret it.

We spent 3 weeks traveling from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls, to Salta, to Mendoza and back to Buenos Aires. Guides, excursions, hotels, and in- country flights we all arranged by Jan. Each segment of the trip was flawless. The guides were friendly and professional and always on time. The excursions were well planned and not jammed together, allowing us time to explore on our own. The hotels selected by the company were excellent and always well located. While each day had a planned activity, we always had enough personal time on our own to experience the environment we were in. We could not have been more pleased with our choice of Heart of Argentina Travel and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience while traveling to Argentina. 5 Stars only because they don't allow 6

The trip was great. It was not cheap but worth it. The best part was that the trip was individually customized for me and my wife - we had constraints that we had to be in Bariloche at a given time and the trip was perfectly arranged. We have spent 2 full days in Buenos Aires. We were greeted off teh plane and immediately had excellent 3-4 hour tour of the city. In the evening and the next day we already knew where to go. On the third day - trip to Uruguay - Colonia de Sacramento. At every step we were greeted by a very professional guide. Then we had two days at Iguazu - once again- everything worked as clockwork. Definitely one needs to visit both Brazilian and Argentinian sides. Then we had two days in ElCalafate where we visited two different glaciers and had boat trips.
Overall - our time was used VERY efficiently - that is definitely the best part fo experience

One issue - paying for the trip using bank transfer to Netherlands is cumbersome - hopefully they will change paying method to, say, Paypal.
Otherwise- nothing to complain about.

Jan and Liz of Heart of Argentina created such an amazing experience for us. More than a holiday! an adventure, but an adventure with the feeling of total support from Jan and the team. From the outset Jan tailored or journey with forethought and consideration for our ideas.The itinerary he created was perfect. Careful thought for the right number of days in different places for distances to cover between stops and a diverse range of hotels and accommodation which were always exciting to find!
