The delivery driver drove straight past…
The delivery driver drove straight past my house and then parked up about a mile away. He refused to drive back and I had to drive down in my car and put a 7 foot Holly tree in the back which wasn’t ideal. The standard of the tree wasn’t great with noticeable lack of growth on one side versus the other.

Great plants, good price, well packaged
The plants were well packed and in good condition . You get notification the day before the delivery and tracking .
My phone call to customer services was very efficient . So I’m very pleased with Harrod outdoors and will certainly be buying from them again .

Amazing Plants at an Amazing Price
I was concerned about ordering plants online because I couldn't see them for real plus I thought that anything could happen to them on the way to me. I shouldn't have worried. I had already bought some at my local garden centre but those from Harrods were far superior and exactly as described. The driver helped me with the unloading, they are in the ground and thriving and I'm as pleased as punch with them.

Ordered two giant Sequoia trees Disappointingly both have now died after just one year in the ground. Followed all guidance and my other sequoias and specimen trees have survived, so not sure whats happened. Shame as this was part of an exciting project for me.
Hoped for abit more empathy and post purchase support given the cost and effort but it is what it is. No response to last email so I’ll just need to write it off as a disappointing experience

I needed three plants to add to an existing hedge so needed to be a certain height. The photos on the website did not match what I recieved.

Portuguese Laurels
The whole procedure of purchasing our plants was effortless, Hugo was our main point of contact, and he sourced the multi stem Portuguese Laurels from Italy, at a very competitive price, he has been a pleasure to deal with. When it came to the delivery this was flexible and the driver was great, taking our plants to exactly where we wanted. I’ve even phoned up for advise after receiving the plants and got some very helpful information, it’s nice to do business with a company that works as a team, thank you.

Excellent young team
We went down to look for cherry laurels , met chandler and his team , so great to see such a young team so enthausiastic, and knowledgeable ,lovely array of hedging and trees . Ordering was so easy and delivery was before the estimated time. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Disgraceful service, plants not as discribed
The team are really friendly when you are buying but we had issues with our hedge as the plants did not look anything like the pictures sent (they where like tall twigs basically), they had brown leaves and dried up root ball from the day of delivery. I complained on the day but found the staff very unhelpful to the point where they refused to answer emails or deal with me on the phone. Customer service was non existent and since then several plants have actually died and they did nothing to help. They just take your money and don’t care. We spent £3,375 disgraceful, shame on you for the complete disregard of your customers. One star rating is too generous but I could not give less. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with

Delivered trees much smaller than I had paid for. Avoid.
Firstly, it took over 5 weeks and 22 working days and numerous emails to get the trees delivered. I paid extra for larger trees that had trunk girth of 10-12 rather than going for the standard 8-10cm. What I received were trees with girths of 7cm. They don't even offer so small on their website!
Emailed yesterday with photo's for proof of the size along with proof of size I ordered and have heard nothing back.
It is clear these products are coming from a diiferent country. What is not clear is if they are purposly sending out smaller trees than what they are advertising assuming 80% of the customers wont complain as they had waited so long for them. I wonder if I will ever get a response from them. I will update this review when/if I do.

We understand your frustration around the lead time. It’s something we’re actively working on as we scale up operations across multiple locations and countries. Some species do take longer to reach our customers, and while that’s a compromise, it allows us to offer a much wider range of plants grown in optimal conditions — not just in the UK, but also in Italy, Belgium, Spain, Holland, and beyond. We're proud to work with expert growers across Europe to ensure the best quality for the UK climate.
We do stock certain varieties with a 6–8 cm stem girth depending on availability and type, and we’re very sorry if you received a smaller size than expected. This certainly wouldn’t have been intentional. As with all our customers, we’re happy to review any size discrepancies and issue either a partial refund or a credit note once we’ve received supporting photos.
If your email hasn’t been picked up yet, please don’t hesitate to resend it — we want to resolve this promptly for you. Thanks again for bringing it to our attention.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Placed an order on the 24th of April and still waiting one month later. Contacted a couple of times and no one reply to my emails. Very poor service

Great experience buying through Harrod Outdoors, they explained to us what we required and helped choose the right shrubs for our hedge. Delivered promptly and helped put shrubs into holes. Took time to explain what distance was required between shrubs etc. Thanks to Chandler and his team
