Really pleased with my purchase from Harper Kendall. I ordered the 4-band puzzle ring and it feels substantial, well made and looks even better in person. The ordering process was straightforward, delivery was smooth and everything arrived nicely presented. A quality piece of jewellery and a very good overall experience — I’d happily buy from Harper Kendall again.

Just what I wanted. Brought an anchor/marine link, puffed chain bracelet. Only thing that could have made the decision easier is if it would have included a weight for the item in its description.

Upon checkout, I noticed they charge extra for “Parcel Protection” and claim:

“Pay £1.99 to protect your order from damage or loss during transit. If you do not opt in, your order will not be covered and delivery issues will not be eligible for a claim. Note: Coverage and eligibility are subject to store policy.” You also have to pay an additional £4.99 for the mere privilege of being able to select the £1.99 parcel protection. So about £7.

This is NOT LEGITIMATE under UK Law:

“Under Section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods remain at the retailer's risk until they are physically delivered to you. A business cannot use its store policy to override or contract out of your statutory consumer rights.”

So, if your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, Harper Kendall is legally obligated to replace it or issue a full refund, even if you do not pay for Checkout+.

This “insurance” is a scam and it’s a misleading, unethical business practice to steal £7 off customers who are likely spending big money on their expensive jewellery.

For example, the product I wanted to buy was 5x the price from when I initially bought it at TK Maxx (very small 9ct gold earrings). I’m not even exaggerating, I bought it for about £30 a couple years ago and it’s nearly £150 on their website.

Also, they lie about being rated excellent on Trustpilot on their website, and show a 5* icon to imply they have 5* on here. This is misleading. At present, it’s 4.3 with lots of 1* reviews.

Additionally, I notice they argue with customers in their Trustpilot reviews in an attempt to salvage their reputation. It is not the level of professionalism you would expect from a self-proclaimed “luxury” jeweller.

Update: HK’s answer to my Trustpilot review doesn’t explain your misleading parcel protection insurance claim, which falsely threatens that “delivery issues will not be eligible for a claim”. Also, since reviews “fluctuate”, it seems like it’s a good time to update yours since they’re now sitting at 4*.

Stop wasting your time arguing with customers on TrustPilot and please implement a responsive customer service instead.

Very disappointed to realise a 9ct gold pendant i purchased in Nov 2025 was sent out on a gold plated sterling silver chain that has since tarnished iv brought it to the attention of customer support and have been told it is sterling silver and is out of warranty. The 9ct gold pendant is also showing signs of poor quality as there is an unremovable blemish on the gold like a water mark.

So I tried to contact them multiple times because I wanted to cancel my order, which I had only given one day prior. But after multiple days of contacting them to cancel it, they still sent it to the shipping service. I tried contacting them 4 times, one as an answer to their order confirmation, two e-mails to their customer support e-mail and one message via paypal resolution center and after all that I just get the message, that my order got shipped (about 2 days after the last attempt to contact them)

The jewelry arrived very promptly, carefully packaged. It was perfect and I love it.

I bought a faith, hope and charity necklace for my granddaughter's birthday in white gold as she prefers that. Her present arrived beautifully packaged in a protective cloth bag as well as a box. Stunning piece of jewellery which amazed the birthday girl. Utterly gorgeous gift which carries on a family tradition which my mother started. Great service, informed when item dispatched and a check from company to ensure it met my expectations. It absolutely does. Highly recommended.
