This company puts Boston in their name but is in fact a Chinese company which you only find out when you try to return poor quality merchandise. A 15% refund was offered or a return to an international address. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Nothing like getting ripped off. I ordered a blouse for 39.99. Thankful that’s all I ordered!! I thought with a name like Harper and Wells from Boston it would be a decent shirt.WRONG! It came in a white plastic bag. When I opened it , it was stuffed into a clear plastic zip locked bag like an Amazon bag. The blouse was all wrinkled and looked dirty. My mistake. I should have known better then to order something on Facebook. Done that before and it wasn’t good. Buyer beware! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS FRAUD COMPANY.

This company is a scam. Clothes look nothing like the pictures, cheap crap from China. When you try to get a refund, they offer 15%, just a rip off.

Do NOT order from this company- it is a complete fraud with cheap clothing that looks nothing like the pictures. Totally lie about easy returns. If you try to get a return address, you get multiple offers to keep the items with some sort of refund less than what you paid. You are then informed that shipping is overseas (China), will be high shipping costs and transit times and they will inspect the items before processing. You will never get a refund.

Horrible horrible experience! Never never NEVER purchase ANYTHING from these rip offs! I wish I’d read the reviews before sending them my money. The shoes I purchased were total crap, you’d be better off buying Temu junk. There’s no refund policy, the only option offered is replacement that you will have to fund. Buyer beware, a fool and his money (like me) will soon be parted by these rip-off merchants.

I filed a complaint on my Bank of America credit card account, which I used to pay $107 for Harper & Wells clothing about a month ago. I had photos to show problems, but B of A simply required answers to a few questions. They did not request photos. Filing the complaint took about 15 minutes. Today, B of A emailed the following: "the vendor, Harper & Wells, issued a refund to your Bank of America credit card account for $107." I thought that $107 for 15 minutes of work was a good return on time invested, plus I was glad that Bank of America held Harper & Wells accountable for the unwearable items they sent to me.

Background: About a month ago, I paid $107 for two cute dresses in size Large from Harper & Wells. But, when I tried them on, the top of the dresses seemed a size Medium and the bottom seemed a size XL. They did not fit and looked terrible. I contacted H & W and requested a full refund. They told me that it would be expensive and time consuming to return the items to their "shipping office" in China, but they offered a 15% refund or a credit for $107 to order something else. I ordered another cute dress and a blouse. But the items on their website are cute and the items they sent me are ugly and not the same. When I reiterated my request for a full refund, they emailed their policy statement saying that by accepting a second shipment, I forfeited any refund. I responded that THEY had not met their own requirement because neither of the two new items was the same as pictured on their website. When they did not respond, I contacted my credit card company. Good luck to you if you do the same!

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I would give it minus star rating if it was available. This company is a Chinese company with a fake Boston, MA address. The website photos have been pirated from a legitimate website. The actual products were inferior looking copies or knock-offs of the originals. Fabrics were cheap. Workmanship poor.

I ordered $300 plus of clothing. Wanted to return all items. I was originally offered 15% cashback refund with no return. I said I would return items and wanted their address. I received an address in China, Zhejiang Province. They then offered me 20%, I refused. When I took my package to the post office they said it would be $100-$150 to return and address should be in Chinese. I emailed company again and said this was unfair. I wanted larger refund. They offered a 40% refund. This is what I received. A SCAM COMPANY!!!!

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Always read customer reviews before ordering from an online company. I wish I had done more research before placing my order. From my experience, this appears to be very similar to TEMU under a different name, with advertising that didn't match what I received.
In my experience, the merchandise was very bad quality and appeared to be made from inexpensive plastic, even though it was advertised as genuine leather. I was extremely disappointed because the product I received did not match the description or the photos.
If you're considering buying from this company, do your homework first. Read reviews from multiple sources and think twice before spending your money.
Based on my experience, I believe this business misleads customers, and I deeply regret making my purchase and spent $100s, I will never, ever buy from them again. My interactions with what appeared to be an AI-powered customer service system were frustrating and unhelpful, and I was unable to get my concerns resolved. I don't understand how this company is still in business, but I strongly recommend that others avoid it. does anyone know how to get my money back? They say that they only can give 25% of our money back to our account. Please let help each other to stop these lowlives.

ITS ALL A BIG SCAM. HORRIBLE CLOTHING AND SHOES. MADE OF GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM AND WATCH OUT AS THEY GO UNDER OTHER NAMES AS WELL. THEY MAKE THINGS LOOK NICE ONLINE BUT IT IS JUNK!

If you value your sanity and your money, DO NOT buy anything from this scam of a company.
I made a purchase from them, then on the same day I emailed them (couldn't find a phone # for them) to cancel the purchase. After that, there proceeded a number of back & forth emails between us, with their doing every thing possible to keep my money and my trying to get it back. I did not get my money back. The order was delivered to me (I haven't opened it - and there's no return address on it) despite my wishes; I've filed a Transaction Dispute with my bank credit card; I've filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau; and I'm also alerting others about the company's business practices .

Do not buy anything from Harper-Wells of Boston! If you want to return an item for refund, you need to ship it to China and the cost runs from $30 to $50 per item. So hassle free returns is a complete lie! I am disputing charge with my credit card company. Plus, the dresses I ordered are horrible quality and the size recommended was way off!

I ordered 2 dresses, which looked NOTHING like the picture. I tried to return both and they gave me a hard time about returning the “hassle free” return. They told me it would cost at least $50 to return. So they offered me a 30% refund from the $69.99 that I paid and said to keep the (ugly) dress. For the other dress they offered to send a free outfit, and keep the item that I ordered. So I opted to receive the free outfit, which also looked nothing like the picture and was gray instead of black. So now I am out of all of this money and stuck with these clothes that are not even presentable! I basically got RIPPED OFF! Shame on them!

I ordered a dress that appeared to be either linen or cotton, and the dress that was sent to me was a very cheap polyester knit that I would not consider wearing. When I tried to return it, I was given the option of a 20% refund or store credit. When I replied that I wanted 100% refund they told me that I would have to pay international shipping for the return and they estimated that at $30-$50. What a rip off!

Complicated and lack of transparency on website for returns. I purchased two dresses (approximately $112) and to date have been unable to return items. One dress did not fit and the other was not quality (feel and stitching). The company representative email highlighted the following options:

*Standard Return (Not Recommended): Returning the item requires shipping it overseas at your expense ($40–$50+), which involves customs clearance, tracking gaps, and potential delays.
*Alternative Option 1 (Free Replacement): Get a brand-new item in a different size or style shipped to you 100% free, and you keep the original item.
*Alternative Option 2 (Partial Refund): Keep the item and receive a 15% cashback refund directly to your original payment method. Why would I willingly want only ~ $16-20 from a $100 purchase?

These aspects should be disclosed on the website and in the return policies. They are not!

Got suckered into buying a pair of sneakers that dont' fit and are horribly made. Asked for refund no response except they will send me another pair fo $18.00...dispicable!!!! It's a total scam and good lesson to not buy anything off of FB

I purchased 3 shirts on impulse and immediately tried to cancel my order after reading reviews but was not able to do so with the company. When I received the shirts, one was the wrong size, the fabric quality on all 3 was not satisfactory and the color on one was not the vibrant color depicted online. After delays and questions about the rationale for my requested return, I am now being told I have to pay international charges to return the shirts. This is not “easy returns” as advertised on their website.

This business is unscrupulous. It states explicitly on its website they have a 30 day back guarantee. I ordered items from their site and upon receipt the quality and fit were poor. I immediately attempted to return the items and it was impossible. After several emails back and forth where I was being pressured to keep the items, and I insisted that I wanted to return the items, a representative by the name of Emily Parker offered to give me a discount and/or apply a credit to another item of my choice. She further acknowledged that the items were from overseas and it would cost me $50-60 to return the items, so she was trying to prevent me from going through the hassle. This is a complete SCAM. I rarely leave reviews, but I want the public to be aware of this company and its deceptive practices.

Just terrible OMG. They should not exist!!!!

What a nightmare. It is July 23, 2026. Never received my dress. Endless emails that are generic-never answering anything I say to them. They couldn't find my address at a condo I have lived at for 26 years. They told me to contact GOFO who needs a tracking order. When I search for the tracking order it says it can't be found. This is so draining of an experience I am about to just let go and am realize I may never see this dress. NEVER buy from them.

I would give them a negative star if they would accept that. The company is disgusting.
Sizing - I wear an XL but ordered a 2X to be sure that the clothes I wanted for my mother's funeral would be loose enough. I could not even get into their 2X.
Quality - The fabric was absolute trash. It was like plastic and the clothing looked nothing like the picture. It was ugly and smelled like the cheap fabric it was.
Easy returns - Not even. I had to pay to return their cheap shoddy clothing to CHINA. They are not in Boston as they advertise. It took weeks to even get a return address. They wanted me to keep their garbage and accept a 40% refund. It cost far more to ship their junk back to them and I have yet to receive a refund.
This company sells absolute junk and has no integrity. Don't waste your time buying from them. I will stick with Northstyle, Coldwater Creek, and Roamans.
