Very disappointing….
I ordered the wrong size fireplace and was sent tracking. Before the order was dispatched I emailed to cancel. I was advised there would be a charge around £37 for recall/ cancellation.
I called the logistics company who advised the order hadn’t been dispatched.
Poor communication- no telephone number and charging cancellation charges even without sending the product is not acceptable.

After reviewing the order, we can confirm that the incorrect fireplace size was selected at the time of purchase. The order had already been processed and dispatched, and after 24 hours we are unfortunately unable to stop or recall the shipment free of charge.
The cancellation/recall fee quoted was the charge applied by the logistics provider for intercepting a dispatched parcel, rather than a fee for cancelling before processing.

I purchased 2 oil filled heaters
I purchased 2 oil filled heaters , one of the heaters stopped working (timer programmer scrambled screen)after 2 months I have tried to contact H and O direct but they have not responded to me.
Klarna say it's out of their timeframe for a refund, I will have to try and ombudsman.

Everything was great
My order was confirmed, shipped and delivered within the indicated timeline. The delivery was to our front door which is the 11th floor, whereas it could have easily been left with the concierge hence that was a pleasant surprise to find it delivered to the front door. The item was as described hence no surprises and was easy to assemble. Thank you!

Frustrating communication - prepare for silence
Frustrating process now that the goods got delivered after I wanted to cancel. I changed my mind upon ordering, emailed and was initially receiving helpful emails that they were trying to intercept the delivery to return, in the meantime I was given a return address and parcel size to get my own quotes incase interception was not successful. The delivery unfortunately arrived the day after it stated on the courier website however we were not in so was left on my property, now I have the parcel with me all communication has gone silent - frustrating!! All I want to understand is how I package the item up for return so that my refund is processed! Feels like they are making it difficult for me to return now it’s in my possession!

I have bought a few items off of this site and they’ve always offered me back £10 because of their mess up up now I’ve ordered a light called sophisticated light looked very nice on the website however when it arrived it came with no instructions then to be told it’s easy to put up the wiring for it was atrocious and I will be sending it back however they are now asking me to pay for postage for it to be returned this company is a bit week say no more so be careful in what you’re purchasing

After this, you informed us that you still found the installation difficult and requested a return. In this case, we have provided you with the return address and explained that return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility when the item is not faulty.
We also offered further assistance, including step-by-step guidance and the option for you to share a video so we could better support you with the installation, but we have not yet received this.

What a complete disaster
What a complete disaster for me having ordered from HAO.
As my order had not arrived, I had to chase the courier to find out where the order was and found out that they had delivered the item to the wrong house in the wrong town.
The courier did recover the item and eventually delivered it to me but when I opened the package part of the garden screening was dented and in other areas, some of the screening slats were clearly broken. I sent photos of the damage to HAO and asked for either a full refund or a replacement on more than one occasion.
During the time of chasing delivery of the item, on one occasion HAO asked me to check next door to see if it had arrived there even though it had been delivered to the wrong address in the wrong town.
I tried to reach a resolution which was time consuming - many emails back and forth and waiting 24 hours each time for a response.
HAO did offer initially a £20 partial refund to keep the faulty item but eventually offered a replacement if I returned the item. Really? I was so fed up with the poor communication, I opted for a £40 refund. HAO will naturally have their version of events that may suit them but my version is correct.
I would definitely not use them again. I suppose if the order arrives undamaged, happy days. But if there is an issue, don't expect a positive experience with their customer service.It was a bad experience for me and I found the communication to be extremely poor.

Regarding the condition of the item (PVC Garden Fence Privacy Screen), we understand there were some creases reported. In response, we first offered a goodwill partial refund, and when you requested a higher amount, we continued to accommodate your requests.
At no point were you required to return the item, as we aimed to resolve this as quickly and conveniently as possible for you. We also offered alternative resolutions, including a replacement or full refund, should you have preferred.
We’re sorry if our response time did not meet your expectations. We aim to reply within 24 hours, although there may occasionally be slight delays due to weekends or holidays.
We believe we made every effort to resolve this matter in line with your requests, and we’re glad that a resolution was reached.
