Terrible experience
I normally don’t leave reviews, but the experience we had with Kerry Rhein and Connor Rhein during our mortgage process was incredibly disappointing and stressful.
We submitted our application on May 4th and were prequalified, so naturally we believed communication and guidance would follow. Instead, we would go days — sometimes nearly a week — with absolutely no response. We constantly had to follow up ourselves just to get basic updates.
My credit score is close to 700, and although my husband’s score is lower, it felt like the moment our file required a little more work, communication completely stopped. I’m a stay-at-home wife, but that does not mean I don’t contribute financially. I earned over $20,000 last year working from home, yet because I don’t have long traditional job history, I was made to feel like our situation just wasn’t worth the effort to figure out. Because my score was higher they tried to use
My income which wasn’t a lot.
My husband’s income could qualify but his score was was lower, so yeah took a little extra time to possibly manually underwrite. Something neither of them felt was worth it:
At one point, Kerry passed our file over to her son Connor. We sent highly sensitive financial information, including Social Security details, and then received no response for five days afterward. No acknowledgment, no update, nothing. When people are handing over private financial documents and trying to buy a home, communication and professionalism matter.
If a file is more difficult to work through, just be honest with people instead of leaving them hanging for weeks wondering what’s happening. We didn’t expect perfection — we expected communication, honesty, and basic respect throughout the process. Neither of them possessed any of this. We got our mortgage by the way, but not through them.
