I have a real problem with Greenworks
I have a real problem with Greenworks. I was emailed a promotion from Greenworks for a Greenworks remote lawnmower. Like a fool I purchased the lawnmower and found that it just does not work so I have tried to return it for a refund. I have reported the problem to Greenworks, one gets a case number and a promise of a reply within 48 hours - that has been two weeks now and I have heard nothing. I have emailed the Greenworks distributor - in Germany but still no response. All UK Greenworks contacts deny responsibility so I am at a loss as to what to do. I have emailed the Greenworks md in Germany to no avail. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
Warranty Nightmare
Purchased a Greenworks mower and strimmer package directly from Greenworks UK in June 2025 for around £300.
The equipment itself seems ok, but after around 11 months the charger appears to have failed.
The disappointing part has been customer support. I have now raised three separate support/warranty cases and received no acknowledgement or response. I have also tried replying to company emails and alternative contact addresses without success.
I understand problems occurring — but the complete lack of engagement has seriously affected my confidence in the brand and in future product support, judging by other reviews this look to be widespread.

Avoid at all costs
I ordered a new lawnmower from Greenworks on 11 April and it was delivered on 15 April. However there was an issue, the grass collector was just a frame and missing the bag. I raised an online query immediately, there is no phone number or email address to contact, but I heard nothing for a week. When they did finally respond they said they would send me a replacement grass bag under warranty, but as there were none in the UK this would come from NL and take up to 14 business days to arrive.
It actually took 10, but the problem was it didn’t fit my mower, despite it looking like the correct one in the photos of the product, the frame of the one I received did not…was I send an old model? Anyway, back to customer services, they said they would look into it, another week passed and nothing, I chased and was then told that they had managed to find the correct part and that I would be sent immediately and I should receive it in up to 5 business days. 2 weeks later, nothing has arrived, I have chased again and no response.
So we are now 5 weeks in from ordering the mower and I still cannot use it. To rub salt into the wound they are now selling it for over £50 less than I paid for it, not discounted just a new lower price.
This is now in the hands of my credit card provider under a Section 75 to try and get my money back!

It took my banks pressure to get any response from their US parent company. They pretend to be a Europe based company but their actual address is Greenworks Tools, Handy Distribution Ltd, Murdock Rd, Swindon, Wilts SN3 5HY just in case you need it...
These tools are good enough value for money
These are good value for money garden tools. You get what you paid for.
I now own strimmer, pole saw and trimmer, hedge trimmer and blower/vac all work ok and seem to be holding up well after several years. My two 40v batteries are still holding charge after DIY garden use for several years now.
Not Sthil quality but compare the price.
Terrible product and extremely poor…
Terrible product and extremely poor service unable to contact service department a email contact page only.
Lawnmower ordered and delivered however the Lawnmower did not work after assembly and full battery charge.
I have sent several requests for the faulty lawnmower to be collected and requested a full refund however to date I have not been contacted by Greenworks.
Do not buy direct from Greenworks the service is the poorest I have ever experienced.
I have made a dispute claim via my bank.
Greenworks do not buy from them! Order your own junk from China!!
Absolutely shocking company to deal with. If you’re hoping to mow your garden with their mowers (made in China) think again!
Took a two weeks for the thing to arrive, missing batteries, charger, grass bag and no idea what else as no instructions either! Trying to get shut of the thing back to them just a nightmare but will not mess about much longer as will start chargeback. They are not in the least interested as they already know what they deliver in terms of service and products. Key here is they have your money at this stage!! Ridiculous and pathetic company obviously run by malevolent clowns who only take your money for this junk!!
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. After receiving a damaged machine, I was eventually offer a 10% refund as damage didn't affect operation. However since agreeing in late April and despite chasing more than once I'm still awaiting the refund and in fact a reply. Earlier communications were poor and required chasing at every step.

Paid £297.50 - Received nothing
Ordered and paid for their 15% off £297.50 battery mower of Saturday March 28, 2026 for delivery in 3-4 business days. Now 5 business days later, I have had no contact from them regarding delivery despite requesting an update twice via their 'Contact Us' form. They have no phone number in the UK and their US number 001 888 909 6757 only handles calls from the US or Canada and is shut for the holidays. I hope that all potential customers see this before ordering.

Frustrating Customer Service
*Update I received refund for the faulty Lawn Mower and awaiting collection. If the company had responded in a straight forward way I probably would have accepted a replacement but the use of a AI customer service bot which is not set up very well together with the faulty lawn mower was just to off putting !!
I ordered a lawn mower on the 22nd of November and upon receipt I noticed that a wheel was not attached and down one side clearly there are brackets missing to secure the wheels. Unable to call or make a simple return I am dealing with a AI managed contact form where they are asking me for in appropriate information rather then just dealing with my request for a machine that is faulty .Despite sending various information that should I not have to I am now asking for a refund under my rights !! For anyone else please avoid these charlatans of a company who treat their customers terribly with a simple request sending out orders with missing parts !! Unless I have a returns plan confirmed today I will be making bank recharge request with my credit card I look forward to hearing back imminently!!

Failed to supply order to replace hedge…
Failed to supply order to replace hedge trimmer, which has broken after minimal use. Also very poor customer service. No telephone number and no reply to latest e-mail. I wish I had read the previous reviews on this site before ordering. I will now have to go through the process of claiming a refund through the credit card company, and source a better replacement. Totally unacceptable service.

Over a month with no delivery. No ability to directly contact. I’ve opened 4 cases and no response. They’ve taken my money and I have no goods and no way to resolve. Don’t use.

3 Year Warranty & Excellent Customer Service
I purchased my lawn mower in November 2022 and the height adjustment mechanism broke in August 2025. Fortunately, Greenworks offers a 3 year warranty with this product and, following correspondence, they sent me a replacement lawn mower. It arrived a couple of days after agreeing my claim.
The Customer service I experienced was excellent. Very impressed!

An appalling company
If 0 stars were available I would have ticked that option.
Do not touch this company. There is no communication and no way of contacting them.
They are refusing to contact us on a refund.
They have £199.99 of my 90 year old father’s money for goods which they felt were suitable to send out. The box was damaged the batteries don’t charge and was totally unfit for use.
After several emails to them, as no telephone numbers are available all we have received is an automatic return emails and nothing else.
This has been going on for 4 weeks now. Totally unacceptable.

If I could I’d give this company 0 stars. Bought a cordless mower and trimmer, received a faulty battery being that the release clip is broken so cannot get it off one device to use on the other. Contacted them through their website and given a generic response saying they’re busy (not surprised being how useless their products are) have since been ignored. Contacted them through their Facebook as well, and again ignored. Now have an unusable £200 waste of space and a company that doesn’t respond to their customers. Totally disgrace of a company and avoid like the plague on steroids. Worst decision ever to use this company
