Simply put, they are thieves! Lots of email promises, but it has been 4 mos and no payment or device return. They stole four iPhone Air from me.
I reported to: BBB, Google, Attorney General, and filed a police report. They can't hide behind their LLC for the criminal piece! :-)

I wouldn’t even give it a 1 if I actually hadn’t been foolish enough to send them my phone. They received in June, my seal was “approved” in August and have heard a word from then since. Now can’t call and texts are not returned.

I shipped my phone to this company at the beginning of the year and I have yet to receive payment on my phone. The last email I got from the almost 2 months ago promising payment that I’ve yet to receive anything. I recently reported them to BBB. I wish I would have read the reviews before I shipped my phone off to them. I don’t understand how they are even still in business. I wish I would have read the reviews before I dealt with these scammers

They steal your phones and never pay. I sent two iPhone 12’s , I call , chat, send emails, they always say they will contact the manager, I never hear back, I’ve been waiting 4 months

No opportunity to award zero stars. This company took my phone and did not pay anything. I have been waiting over three months with no response. Originally customer service seemed responsive, but that stopped after a week or two. Total scam organization. Find another buyer for your device and run.

Hello if I could give zero Stars I would I sent them my phone in June was given an approval for my phone and they cut off all communication I have several text messages where they were texting back and forth and then all of a sudden just nothing I think that a bunch of us need to go in and find an attorney that can do something to the company as well as the people that own the company for fraud I am working with the police department in my hometown as well as the police department where they are located the address that is on file is bogus they do not rent that building or anything in the area do not send your phone to them do not send anything to them they are fraud and they owe me $800 for an iPhone and based on everything that I'm reading they others a lot of money as well I have snapshots of all the text messages emails and any and all correspondence having to do with my phone as well as where I sent them my phone through USPS and they had to sign for it

Sold my old watch as they offered the most three months ago. They have yet to pay me after two months and will not pick up the phone. AVOID

This company avoided paying me for two Apple Watches that they agreed to pay me for and they won’t send them back to me. They avoid my calls. This has been going on since August 17th

Just passed month 2 of them having my phone and they are completely unreachable. Received phone on June 18, 26 it’s now Aug 19, 26. I contacted them after the first month and left a VM and received a text stating they would look into my order and that’s the last response they’ve given. I’ve emailed, texted, called since and they are literally unreachable. Even told them in one VM just to send the phone back. Just filed with Better Business Bureau and I’ll be moving forward with legal action at this point. Do NOT bother this company.
UPDATE: it is now Sept 14, they have had my phone for 4 full months. Their VM is full and I can’t leave a message. I’ve emailed and texted as well with no responses. Going to recontact the BBB but please stay away from these people this is absolutely absurd.

I would not recommend Golden Standard Buybacks based on my experience.

I sent them my phone in February 2026 with an agreed payout of approximately $700. As of today, I still have not been paid. I’ve reached out multiple times by email, but they rarely respond. The only communication I’ve consistently received has been automated holiday emails saying they’ll respond once they’re back in the office, yet they never follow up.

After waiting for months without payment or meaningful communication, I filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s Office and will continue to pursue the matter until it is resolved.

If you’re considering doing business with this company, I encourage you to research recent customer experiences and proceed with caution

I shipped in both an iPad and a Nintendo Switch that I no longer used. I liked that I could send multiple devices together instead of dealing with separate buyers for each item. The company kept me updated throughout the process, and both devices were inspected quickly. Payment was sent shortly afterward, and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. This company is complete fraud. They take your phone and don't pay for it. There is no way to talk to a real person. They are not registered with BBB and even are not a registered company at all. Stay away.

Terrible customer service. Still waiting for my money. I keep getting the same response “I will escalate your email to upper management “. What a joke! Run don’t walk from this company. Still waiting for my money. I asked for my phone to be returned. Have heard nothing.

Very sad, I started my selling process on March 9, 2026. I got a status order I got an update March 19, 2026 that the phone had been received. I called three or four times. That’s a joke. Left numerous messages never to be returned. Then I started to email March 30/April 7/April 14th. Got a response telling me there was a death in the office. Wow sounds like sharing a little too much information. Or buying an another brief stay with a lie.
Then I received another email saying that this was Jacob and he would be taking care of my rest of my situation with the selling of my phone personally. Nothing back no information. Another email I sent on June 4.
Then another email I sent July 14, 2026.
You entered the contract with me to purchase my phone paying for the shipment of my phone and quoting a price to me. Where is the phone keep your goddamn money and send me my phone back. You are the worst type of vendor. Like many contractors no answers to any questions no answers after you make an initial contact it’s very sad that I am sitting waiting over 120 days for a function that should’ve been taken care of immediately tells me that you’re a scam a cheat and you should be removed from the web.
