Had my phone stolen, and thankfully I had akko. filed a police report, filed a claim and after some back and forth had my replacement approved. Their system was using incorrect comps so I had to share comparables but they approved in 15 minutes, very prompt resolution.

Claim process was mostly smooth but definitly could use some improvements. The size limit for uploads is small, but besides that claim process was not too bad. I filed claim, got approved later that same day. Took it to Apple Store that weekend, and got it repaired. Claim payout took about 2 days since their was some system issues but chat was able to manually send it to my PayPal and took less than 5 minutes.

AKKO is THE way to go when it comes to electronics insurance. I’ve been using them for several years now and I’ve never looked back. Seriously only $15 a month to cover ALL your electronics. Plus, the deductibles are only $29-$99 which is a steal. More often than not I’m just doing a screen replacement which is $29 but recently I had to replace my stolen iPhone. Filing my claim was super easy and within 24 hours, I had already purchased a new iPhone and was sent the money to cover my purchase quickly after. Anytime I go to Apple they always ask if I want to purchase AppleCare and I tell them “No Thanks!” And I tell them about how great AKKO is. I seriously well never consider anything but AKKO when it comes to protecting my electronics.

Had a really good experience with Akko. I got it for a good price from US Mobile and I was nervous because I had only ever used AppleCare but it was super painless and I was able to easily get my phone repaired by Apple with Akko paying out seconds after uploading my receipt.

Akko gives me peace of mind. When my phone was stolen on a city street I was convinced of the need for device insurance. I'm glad I found Akko. It's allowed me to keep my replacement in top shape much longer than I have in the past. I've had two claims. The approval process was fast on the first case, but took two days the second time. After that the process was super simple. I paid for the approved repair, and was paid back via PayPal (or Venmo) in minutes. Saved me hundreds.

AKKO Insurance Saved my s24 Ultra Fast, fair, and actually stress free!
I’ve gotta say, my experience with AKKO insurance was hands-down the best I’ve ever had with any kind of device protection plan. My Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra took a dive into the pool a couple months back—total water damage, phone completely bricked, wouldn’t turn on at all. I was gutted because that thing was basically my life (work, photos, everything).
Filed the claim through their app super easily—just uploaded pics of the damage, described what happened, and answered a few quick questions. The team got back to me the same day, super calm and respectful the whole time. No attitude, no grilling me like I was trying to scam them—just straightforward, helpful, and understanding. They approved the claim in like 48 hours, processed everything fast, and I got a full replacement reimbursement (after the low deductible) way quicker than I expected. Paid out through PayPal in under a week total from filing to money in my account.

I would NOT recommend Akko
I would NOT recommend Akko device protection. They approved my repair, and said I could go to Apple Store to have my iPhone repaired. I went to Apple Store and paid over $400 for the repair, and then submitted the receipt to Akko and now they are stalling the reimbursement and asking for tons of different email. I have sent them the Apple Store receipt, Apple Store Work Authorization, Apple Store Work Confirmation email AND even my American Express card transaction showing the repair at the Apple Store. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AKKO THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING TO NOT PAY YOUR CLAIM AFTER THEY APPROVE IT.

Literally not a single complaint i can really think of.
The entire process overall — and in all of its little details — of doing business with getakko i would say has probably been extremely easy, transparent, professional, and punctual. Even in the inevitable nuanced, complex situations (like when i had to reach out and work/communicate with them about a claim that began in 1 policy year, but wasn’t finished processing until during a 2nd policy year/period) — they hit all those parameters i just previously mentioned. Not a single complaint from me; so great (if not perfect) service overall I’d say.

Well it started one day when I took my Galaxy Z flip for into the repair shop for the reason of the bottom half not showing up at all the repairman told me that I was going to need possibly a new screen if it could be repaired or come to find out I needed a new phone and I just so happened to like the Galaxy Eclipse because they turn into a small compact if it's great my back pocket but needless to say he turned me on to akko so after reading a few reviews on the company I decided to purchase and after that it was all over with they did such a good job with my claim quick and easy now after 3 years I would not purchase any other insurance they most definitely take care of you with ease. AKKO representatives were always prompt…
AKKO representatives were always prompt in their responses. While AKKO’s customer service is excellent, I would not recommend the small repair stores for iPhone repairs or diagnostics. Instead, get a quote from the Apple Store; it will save you both time and hassle. After few repairs phone was also diagnosed with defect on front side and got diagnostics invoice for replacement. I replaced my iPhone with a new one from AKKOs list of options and paid for it myself. Then, I sent AKKO the receipt, and less than a day later, they sent me the refund amount to my Venmo.
I was very pleased with their professional and speedy support team. A+++++

I am extremely upset having to wait this long for a repair. Initially I put in a claim in Sept. Cracked my screen. I thought it wasnt a big deal. Went through the claim process. I was hoping I could put in a claim, take it to the service center and they could take care of the paper work. I was wrong. It took days and weeks of communication, and then procedures to follow in order for the claim to be accepted. I am in January and still no completion. My claim went from cracked screen to now a dead phone. I went to a service center and they had to manually write an estimate with cost for a cracked screen. Why would I have to do this if they work with select service shops? Then my sons phone had the same issue, so i submitted a new claim. Once I submitted the estimate, they approved his phone and I had to wait until my son's phone was repaired. They approved the repair and sent me $300 to get it fixed, minus the deductible. I'm not sure why you are sending large amounts of payments with customers and not setting up accounts directly with the shops. Once that got submitted, i started on my phone. Now my phone turned off due to water in the phone. I was approved for full reimbursement to purchase a renewed phone from amazon Im waiting for a payout and they offered me $200 less than what I should be receiving. I messaged them on Wed to correct the price and its friday. Im sure this doesnt even make sense, but let me help you avoid my mistake. 1.put in a claim, 2. get an estimate at a local shop like batteries plus or Helpertech.3. submit estimate in claim. should be $29-$49 for new screen deductible. I'll be here waiting for a new phone....
UPDATE... Once I submitted a review, someone responded to my messages that I sent to the company.
Unfortunately it took too long and people need to know the right way for your claims to be approved. I do appreciate the quick response, but please do better.
