Good communications from the company although some of the removal men we had were a little unprofessional in appearance and attitude.

All staff handled all steps of my move with professionalism especially with all my ups and downs!

I had a pleasant experience communicating with GMS (Global Moving Service) for handling and delivering my stuffs all the way from HK to UK! Ms Sarah Ferryman is very professional and helpful in all ways of dealing my cargo especially when I had difficulties in receiving my stuffs.
I will definitely recommend GMS to my friends.

We used GMS to move from Sweden to UK. The communication was good, the quote was clear (although no negotiation on price), the staff were responsive - the company came across as knowledgeable and professional. However, the problems started when we had the crew responsible for packing and when we received our shipment. Most of our furniture was scratched, had marks, soaked and dirty mattresses, broken fragile items that are hard to replace, sports items and nice clothes were all bundled together, no wardrobe boxes for coats or suits. I understand things get damaged in moves but it was consistently poor and careless packing and furniture was moved with no protection. The crew on the receiving side commented how poorly packing was done. I think the service with GMS is inconsistent - if you are lucky and you get professional 3rd party packing and moving teams it can be good. We had very poor service and no apology or acknowledgement after the shipment arrived. We were referred to deal with the insurance company.

Wonderful experience! We had such a rough time trying to get in touch with our booking agents in the states, but Sarah worked so hard to get in touch with them for us and kept the ball rolling for us to get our belongings! Not only did she work hard, but she was very responsive and communicated so well. I would highly recommend GMS!!

Sarah was keeping me updated about the status of my parcel right from the beginning. She always answered my queries patiently. I am very happy with the service and would highly recommend her service for moving across continents.

We’ve used GMS twice now for our removals from UK to Spain and the whole service was seamless. The booking procedure was very essy. Everything arrived in one piece and exactly when we were told. Contact with the company was excellent, ultra friendly and professional. Highly recommend the moving team.

Global Moving Services handled the UK end of our shipment of 8 boxes and a bicycle from Hong Kong. Communication with Sarah Ferryman in the office and the delivery guys was great, prompt and helpful. Our shipment was held up in the docks but I think that's true for everyone at the moment. All in all, we were happy.

We recently used Global Moving Services in relation to an international shipment of personal items from our home in Australia.
At the UK end of the process we have been so lucky to have had Sarah Ferryman working on our behalf. She has managed the whole process so efficiently and with great care and courtesy. Sarah Ferryman was my main contact at GMS. Once my shipment cleared and was released (it took a long, frustrating time which was because of the US shippers)
she contacted me immediately and arranged delivery to my home. The 3 guys from Bishop's move were wonderful. They treated my personal effects and a special marble sculpture with such care and attention.
They deserve a special commendation: George, Warren and Phil.
Sarah followed up afterwards and all was good.

Possibly the worst moving company I have dealt with. The only positive thing about GMS are the people who come and pack your things. They are fast and efficient (do not expect a tidy packing). The people answering the emails though are not transparent at all and I I believe they lie upon the initial quotation to bring you onboard. They initially told me it will take 6-10 weeks and we are now in week 15 and I still haven't received them. We moved to another country with only a suitcase each and we are still waiting for our things. There was a poor communication as to when the items would have been uploaded on the ship and no timeframe was provided until last minute.

We used this company to moved 3 crates from France to Australia by ship, air freight was outrageously expensive. If you not in any rush Global Moving Services was excellent, they picked up and delivered door to door. Everything arrived in excellent condition. I highly recommended this company for your move. They also dealt with the customs when our crates arrived in Australia.

I wish I had read about the negative experiences that people on this site have reported in regards to GMS Moving Services before I contracted their services. Much of it rings rather true given my own experience with this company. I have experienced GMS’s services as really disappointing, expensive, lacking in attention to detail, and further adding to the stress and trauma that a move brings with it anyway. The company failed to provide me with all the relevant information before they made me fly back to my country to measure each box and provide them with a list of items. (The lady from GMS customer service later told me that one should assume that I knew how to meet the company's requirements for compiling the list of items to be transported?!) Then GMS miscalculated the volume of my load by more than 4 cubic metres, which meant that they first charged me £3000 and then another £1500 on top (this is for a load of boxes and only two furniture items, all of which does not even fill up one room). The company agreed a day with me for picking up the goods, which they then changed last minute on the eve before - and did the same again when offloading my goods. Notwithstanding the company's inability to honour any agreement, the moving manager (not the automated system) then hassled me three days in a row about when I would pay for the overcharge, even though I dutifully responded to each email and explained every time that I would pay them within the next 5-8 working days. When I detailed my horrific customer journey to the GMS Customer Service Team at the end of my ordeal with them, Yasmin effectively located responsibility with everything and everyone else except GMS Moving Services and did not take anything on board. Instead she told me that 'we have done everything possible to facilitate the move'. This tone and the complacent attitude very much reflects GMS' responses to the various negative experiences on this site.

Global Moving Services's service is great!
The trade logistics manager kept me update about my parcel's status and arranged delivery to me as soon as she could. On top of it, her response to my e-mail is very fast.
On the other hand, the delivery team is very professional, efficient, tidy and polite. Even in snowing weather, they could keep their smile and let me feel their enthusiasm. I will recommend your services to my friends if they need.

DONT PAY, Got a call from Gourav to help him cover a urgent job last year as he had been let down, we stepped in and helped but to this day nothing but empty promises on payment and when you call the accounts it goes to voice mail. Gourav has now blocked my email also. Customer and suppliers beware, if you book GMS their contractor may hold the goods for payment, and suppliers beware , they dont pay

Our Move Manager Lisa Finlan was extremely helpful, assisting us with our international move, keeping us updated and dealing with special requests. I recommend this Company for anyone needing an experienced Company when moving abroad.

Our shipment arrived safely from HK. Excellent service provided from the logistics manager, Sarah. The crew who delivered our belongings were very efficient and polite.

Stressful and long drawn out process. Sales convince you they are a professional service. It goes bad once you've paid. They estimated 3-4 months. It took 7 months. The pick up crew was meant to arrive on Thursday, then the Friday, they came Saturday night, I was flying out Sunday morning. It was picked up with no care for boxes marked fragile. No labelling system other than a pen that rubbed off. Then loaded into an empty truck with no strapping down. There was no tracking system. They found it difficult to confirm where my consignment was and if all packages were together. They charged me more and said they would not proceed with the shipment until I paid. I'm truly surprised that everything has now arrived undamaged, despite some of the boxes being trashed. Such an awful experience.

Grea experience using Global Moving Services. Sarah handling the administration was most helpful and professional with prompt response keeping us confident our goods were being well looked after. Delivery at our new home was on time, friendly, efficient and professional from care of protecting new carpets to getting all the paperwork done. Nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended
