GMS kept us fully updated re the moving process, particularly Sarah.
All items, that were shipped, were in perfect condition on arrival and the delivery was received on the day/time as agreed. Overall a very good experience.

Very professional organisation with hard working teams in the UK and overseas. Everything was well-wrapped and delivered on time without any breakages

We inherited some antique funiture which was shipped from the UK to Canada. Communication and help from the GMS representative was good as with their moving teams in the UK and Canada everyone turned up at the appointed times.

The packing that was done was not so good, not being in the UK to supervise was a definite problem. Maybe for a local delivery the packing might have been sufficient but for overseas it was not thought out well and insufficient.

Of the 3 tables and 1 chest of drawers that arrived only one table arrived with its legs unbroken and the feet of the chest of drawers were also broken off. The packers had stuck tape to the polished walnut finish of the chest of drawers, which has left marks I have not been able to remove fully yet.

I would assume from the damage, that heavy items that were in the shared container were stacked on our furniture, even the two drop down leaves on one table, that had the 2 legs broken off had bent and popped off hinges, probably from the force of what ever snapped the legs off.

Edit here as I can't reply to your reply about only shipping 2 tables not three. Your team packed a small kitchen table instead of the small side stand we wanted.

We recently returned from a ten year period overseas and we needed someone to manage the relocation of our household possessions from New Zealand to the UK.

Sarah and the team were brilliant throughout the process and the handover from the New Zealand team to the UK team was seamless.

Even though our plans were very fluid, Sarah managed everything very professionally and kept us informed every step of the way with our goods arriving exactly when we needed them.

Great experience using GMS. First time using a moving company and we’ve been fully satisfied by them. Thanks to Shelley and Lisa who helped us all the way and made our move way easier than expected.
Clear and fast communication, always there to find a solution or indicate us where to find it. The movers from Abels where really nice and experienced. All our stuff arrived in perfect condition, nothing lost or broken, ten days after collection. All the information has been sent to me without having to ask for it.
I recommend and I would use that company again if needed in the future.

Great experience all round. Moved from UK to US and needed fast turnaround, storage on arrival and precisely timed deliver. Fast, knowledgeable, efficient information and friendly discussions from everyone involved. Now everything is safely installed, no damage to any of my belongings and what could have been a nightmare trip , wasn’t!! My advice after doing these moves many times (at least 10 complex international moves) is always the same: Do your research, fill out your forms quickly and pay promptly. Treat everyone with respect and ask if you don’t know. It makes dealing with such a professional organization a great experience. Highly recommended.

Well organized, friendly, helpful, reliable

Right from the start of my inquiry Sarah was very pleasant and knowledgeable about how to proceed and what she could offer me. With the urgency of my move I was comfortable and secure in the knowledge that Sarah would handle my move to Beijing, China in a professional manner. She was able to advise me with costs and how to keep these down. Overall I was satisfied.

Everyone in the moving chain from Australia to Stockbridge managed the systems very efficiently and our furniture was packed in Australia, travelled on a ship to be deposited here and unpacked and transported to our home in Stockbridge. Both managers were always available and answered questions even before they were asked. The advice we were given was excellent and the process moved without a hitch. I am very grateful to everyone involved, particularly Marie in Australia and Sarah Ferryman here in the UK for their cheerful, friendly and very professional approach to the complexities of moving furniture across the world.

A great experience, fuss free and friendly service throughout. I used GMS to move a shipment of my household goods to Greece. From the initial contact enquiry with Lisa, through the detailing of the goods, my mind was put at rest with regards to the security and packaging and the customs paperwork. The guys who did the collection couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, only matched by the Greek guys who made the delivery. The entire shipment arrived on time and intact. I can't fault GMS, I would definitely use them again and would recommend them!
