I have changed my rating to 4 star

I have changed my rating to 4 star. I finally was able to get in touch with customer service by phone. It is so much better talking to a live person the texting. I explained to Zac in customer service. I explained what was going on and the reason why I hadn't shipped back the item. That I went to a mailing store to ship the item back that was misordered. The cheapest was $181.32 to return a $48 part! Which I could not understand since FedEx charged $28 to send it to me. It was Zac who suggested that I check the postal service. Friday Jan. 7th I went to the post office and mailed it back....it cost a whole $28. Big difference. So now the pkg is on the way back to generator guru. When I receive the correct replacement part I will upgrade my review to 5 star.
I'm sure if I lived in the UK this transaction would have had a better results. Living several thousand miles away in the US kind of complicated things, but thanks to Zac and Jane etc. this issue is being resolved.

Technical assistance was excellent

Was looking for parts for a generator that had just failed on me when I found G.G.'s site. I sent a message in detailing the what I knew of the engine failure. Their technician Zak responded in just approximately three hours. He really provided some insight on how to check my engine out, but do to my schedule it has taken me some time to use what he suggested and get a diagnostic from it. I had also asked that I could get a manual and parts schematic so I could see how all of the parts fit together. I had one part particularly that I was unsure how it fit and a picture I felt sure would help. He never responded with that or provided a source. Overall, service was very good especially since it was offered free of charge. I do need to get some parts to go back together with my engine, so will be checking with G.G. again for those.

I hate to give you such a low rating…

I hate to give you such a low rating because I did receive the part that I ordered in a surprisingly quick time frame. But the part that I ordered for a friend was the wrong part. My friend made an error in the part number. I contacted generator guru. They are more than happy to replace the part providing I send pictures of the old part, the one that was sent me and pictures of all sides of the generator. The problem is I am having trouble getting the pictures requested because I live in town and the generator is out in the country. The friend has an out of date cell. He can take the pictures but he can't send them. I have tried reaching out to guru about this issue but am having no luck. Why can't they send me a return label for the old part and send me the replacement?

As we are not sure why it does not fit your generator, we have requested photos to determine if the item was a mis-pick. This is to ensure we can quickly determine the error and rectify any issues quickly.

Email received to ask if we had received photos. We responded saying we have not received any photos as yet. While looking into the matter, it became obvious from your Trustpilot review that is was not a mis-pick issue as stated on the original RMA, but instead you purchased the wrong item. We immediately sent you the information on how to return the order.

Conclusion:
1) We asked for photos as we thought from your original RMA that you had received the wrong part, and often we can quickly rectify mis-picks from a photo. This was the case, as you stated on your RMA, that the Recoil did not fit.
2) However, it only became obvious that you ordered the wrong part in your Trustpilot review. When we knew this was the case, we quickly sent you the return instructions.

Therefore, I feel we conducted our RMA investigations quickly with the information provided by yourself. Once we realised you bought the wrong item, we sent you the return information. I cannot see how we could have provided a better service when we did not have the correct information. However, if you would like to discuss this further with me, or have any suggestions on how we can improve, please respond to your Support ticket and I would be happy to converse with you.

Very quick service

Storm Arwen hit us hard and like much of NE Scotland we lost power on Friday (26/11/21) . I dug out my old generator and after a bit of working it was running fine, bit not producing power. Sunday was spent at the "youtube university" were I diagnosed a faulty capacitor/Avr. On Monday I order a new one from GeneratorGuru and added a note to say we were desperate. It arrived before 9am the next morning - which considering it had to go the entire length of the UK is amazing. Once fitted the generator worked fine and we had electricity again. Mains power was off for another three days!

Very helpful & responding in a timely fashion.

I generally do not write reviews but in this case I was so impress on the service and the response back from Zak. The rope on the MX4500 broke and I was told by others that I would need to purchase a new assembly. Zak from Generator Guru provided me with a video that showed me how to correct the problem, The correction was real simple and did not cost me.
Thank you again for solving the problem.

Speedy response.

I bought my parts from them and I didn't have a parts manual or owners manual for my machine. typed in the model number and a photo gallery of parts popped up and I was able to purchase what I needed.
I then contacted about spec's and they were very quick to respond to my request. You can't go wrong with Generator Guru.

Having trouble with my generator

Having trouble with my generator. Found their website. Emailed my issue. Received an email next day, explaining what could be wrong, how to fix and what parts I needed. All this info and I did not have to by anything from them. Very helpful.

What a great experience

What a great experience dealing with these folks! I found an obscure part I needed and it was shipped to me over 5500 miles in less than 4 working days. I can’t say enough. I only wish I could say thank you personally. By the way, the video resources they provide are extremely helpful too. Cheers!

Finally A Company With Great Customer Service !

For over 6 months I have been trying to get an Idle Control Switch for my DuroMax XP10,000EH generator, first from DuroMax and then thru Northern Tool. Finally I tried Generator Guru at first they said they didn't have one but they went above and beyond by asking for pictures of the part and they would try to match it up with something they did have. Again no luck, but a few weeks later they actually called me and said they had located some and was I still interested. Finally a company with GREAT follow up!!

Excellent

Excellent, dug my old sealey G2300 out of storage to find the fuel level guage was cracked and melted by what I assume are the effects 10 year old fuel in it. As if by magic generator guru not only listed the part it was in stock and I got it in 4 days - now I don't have petrol vapour coming out of it anymore. Thanks for the parts.

An absolute awesome experience

An absolute awesome experience. Received the wrong set of gaskets for a carburetor and notified service. They conducted research and found another order also received the wrong gaskets. They immediately sent the correct ones. They will definitely receive more of my business in the future!!
