Support is where it's at!
Gate is a great host. I've used them for years for website hosting and am currently doing a WordPress implementation with them. If you have an issue, you can live chat in minutes (which I've done many times recently.) There are lots of hosts, but being able to get tech support when it's needed is where it's at.

Excellent customer support for more than 10 years
I have been a customer for over 10 years, maintaining one account or another. I have never received other than first-rate customer service. Being a novice with domain maintenance, server set-up, website launching, etc., Gate.com's customer service and tech support have always been highly competent, respectful, and helpful in resolving my issues.

We Use Gate For Email
We are a small company and don’t want to administer our own email server – it’s not our expertise. It is Gate’s expertise and we depend upon them for it. Email is our primary method of getting orders, so dependable email service is critical to us. The thing I like most is there is little to no wait when we need technical support. We have been a customer since before it was Gate and have been satisfied all these years and still are.

Gate is great for users of all levels of tech knowledge
I needed to get an SSL certificate for my website (it is a non-profit foundation's website) and I am not very tech savvy. the customer rep was extremely patient and provided assistance that was geared for my level of expertise (or lack thereof). That is why I have stuck with Gate all of these years. You do not have to be a technology wiz to use or understand their services.

I have been with Gate.com for YEARS for my personal domain and my business domain. If you need as hosting service you cannot do better than Gate! I've3 never had a problem and if there was any down tiome I was not aware of it. Gate is dependable and the two times I asked for help (in14 years) the help was excellent and immediate. Gate is more organized than me
Gate is more organized than me. I have several small websites and manage domains on Gate, including some for friends. For some of them I get email, some I don’t. I had email trouble and it turned out to be for a site with DNS from Gate and mail forwarding from someone else. The call to Gate was great and even though it had nothing to do with their service, the CSR told me what the issue was and what to tell the other provider. Really excellent service.
