Gaggenau steam oven
We have just purchased and had installed a Gaggenau steam oven. The oven went into fault mode the moment it was first turned on. The installing technician contacted Gaggenau who told him to call an engineer. Gaggenau service wont come for a month. One would like to think that if you sold a faulty product you would move heaven and earth to put it right. Not Gaggenau.
Appalling after sales customer care
I would absolutely recommend anyone considering buying a Gaggenau appliance in the UK to be very, very careful.
We spent many thousands of pounds buying what we were assured were the best retail consumer ovens and induction job on the market for our new kitchen.
The oven worked fantastically well until a fault developed after three months which trips the power and has meant that it is now unusable. Despite repeated attempts by our kitchen installer, Roundhouse who have done a fabulous job, and ourselves the Gaggenau after-sales service has been appalling. We’ve been given excuses about people being off work, and then been told that they’ve tried to contact us unsuccessful for which there’s absolutely no evidence. We’ve eventually been given a date for a home attendance 5 weeks after we asked for one and during the intervening time had no oven. There is no guarantee that this visit will resolve the problem, which is as yet not defined and we may well then be asked to wait many more weeks on the basis of our experience.
When working the units are great but Gaggenau’s after-sales customer service in the UK is risible. Had we been aware when we chose to buy their appliances this would most definitely have changed our decision.

Never again Gaggenau
About 10 years ago we bought the predecessor to the Gaggenau RY492305 refrigerator-freezer with French doors, supposedly a top model of this supposedly high-end brand. It cost well over EUR 10,000 (then about US$ 14,000). A couple of months ago the freezer suddenly stopped working. We called for service and were extremely disappointed when the technician declared the entire expensive refrigerator-freezer to be irreparable--not just the freezer, but the whole thing--and that there was nothing he or the company could or would do! At that lofty price point you would expect exemplary longevity and reparability. I made several attempts to contact customer service for some kind of accommodation--no response. Gaggenau evidently has zero interest in customer goodwill once they sold you their quite ordinary but egregiously overpriced device. I will replace our fridge with another brand and never buy anything Gaggenau again.
Produkter defekte ved levering.
Bestilte emhætte, loftsmotor, opvaskemaskine, dampovn, gaskomfur, køleskab og varmeskuffe fra Gaggenau og må sige jeg er dybt skuffet over den danske organisation. Gaskomfur og varmeskuffe var defekte da de blev installeret og nu konstaterer jeg at der er 2 ugers ventetid på montør. Det er ikke i orden på produkter der koster et mindre parcelhus. Deres serviceorganisation er ikke i stand til at yde bare en rimelig vejledning til installationen. Deres brugervejledninger er mangelfulde og fyldte af fejl. De referer også til en webshop som ikke findes hvor man skal bestille påkrævet tilbehør. Jeg er glad for de produkter der virker, men til de priser de holder må man forvente et perfekt service. Det er så det modsatte. Burde nok have gået på trustpilot først - kan se andre har samme udfordringer.

I have been a loyal Gaggenau customer owning many appliances for over a decade. I was told I would have to replace my oven (70cm wide model no longer made - I was told I was the last customer to be sold one - I would therefore have to reconfigure my kitchen to rehouse a new oven) as a ring element was no longer available. For six months I have been obliged to use a small second oven while considering the expense and logistics of this option. An independent appliance engineer disputed Gaggenau's conclusion, ordered the new part and fixed my oven.
I rang Gaggenau to report this over two weeks ago and despite reassurances from a 'manager' that the matter would be investigated, I received no reply. When I followed this up, no record of my previous conversation could be found. (This has happened many times over years.) When I explained to another manager in customer services (Robert), he stated that Gaggenau couldn't meet 'your high standards'. I corrected him saying I simply expected my oven to be repaired. When I asked if his company could consider offering compensation for the inaccurate information and potentially costly error as well as the period of six months inconvenience, he categorically refused any gesture of goodwill saying I had not suffered any 'injury or damage'. A decade of loyalty obviously counts for little with Gaggenau. I will be renewing my kitchen soon and will not consider this company again. I hope this account of my experience will encourage others to look elsewhere.
No resolution to failing products
With the purchase of a new kitchen we purchased 6 gaggenau products. Over the last 3 years the coffee machine has not been working fully - serviced 6 times and brochure into service 3 times. But never fully working - however with some of the same mistakes as in the beginning BSG now claim that we have not maintained the machine and want a payment of + DKK 3000. Our cook plate started after one year to stop recognising the pans in the middle burner. They initially blaimed electrical installations, but this was not the case. Case still open and not fixed. Dishwasher with a decreasing effect in cleaning - but the system does not show errors, but pictures show that it clearly do not clean the service. No resolution. Why purchase expensive when you get no better products and service.
Underlødig kvalitet fra Gaggenau
Vi købte en Gaggenau ovn for ca. 10 år siden til en pris af ca. 23.000 kr. For 10 måneder siden brød den sammen og et bundkort skulle udskiftes. Pris 2.200 inkl. service.
Nu er der igen problemer med ovnen og et "effektmodul" skal skiftes. Desværre har Gaggenau ikke længere dette modul på lager og reparationen kan derfor ikke udføres.
Ovnen skal derfor kasseres efter blot 10 år.
Vi har købt en så dyr ovn med en forventning om lang levetid samt mulighed for reparation. Det er tankevækkende, at man i tider som disse, hvor miljø og bæredygtighed er i fokus, at Gaggenau vælger ikke at sørge for reservedele til deres produkter, således man bliver nødt til at kassere disse ved en mindre defekt.
Jeg er særdeles skuffet over kvaliteten på ovnen samt servicen fra Gaggenau.
2 fejl indenfor samme år på vores ovn, samt fejl på vores Gaggenau kogeplade, begge efter 10 års brug samt reservedele som udgår efter 10 år, kunne også få en på tanken om, at Gaggenau indbygger forældelse på produktet.
Anbefalingen fra Gaggenau Danmark var da også "køb en ny ovn!"
Baseret på vores erfaring med Gaggenau ovn samt kogeplade er mærket af underlødig kvalitet med en alt for høj prissættelse.
Igen igen dårlig service
Igen igen. Jeg har skrevet tidligere om et andet service behov, og der er ikke noget det har ændret sig. Nyt problem med service afdelingen. Ventet 12 dage før der kunne laves en aftale, alene det er ikke i orden, for at de så på dagen ringer og er nødt til at flytte aftalen endnu en uge. Det koster halve og hele fridage hver gang. Må bare konstatere de ikke kan magte tilfredsstillende service.

Virkelig elendig serivice når der er noget der går i stykker og der skal ydes service, eller som i ingen service.
Sur, tvær og fuldstændig ufleksibel servicemand i telefonen og nu er det 2 måned med en maskine der ikke virker.
