I have been using FDM for about 20 years. My hobby is collecting and downloading movies and series using FDM. I live in a home for the aged my hobby allows me to give them entertainment. I never have a problem and the website is user-friendly. Because I don't have a good internet I have to go to their site to adjust the amount of downloads I require. This I do in a minute. Their service is excellent. They respond immediately. I strongly recommend FDM to anyone who needs an excellent service. Thank you everyone for making this possible. Georgina Erasmus South Africa.

Awesome software
Awesome software! Used it for 5 years and haven’t had major issues apart from one where the Roblox website wouldn’t load but that was quickly bug fixed by the team. Manages my downloads nicely and bulk moving files to another folder that fast is really handy and I use it a ton.

Despite the thumbs-down reviews of FDM on here, I have never encountered any of the problems others users experienced. No interference from my AV software, always downloads the file I requested, very fast... If ever I had a problem, I sent the specifics to FDM's Support department, and got a professional and instructive response. FDM comes with my recommendation!

My experience with FDM is "ten of ten!" It´s the fastest manager I´ve ever use! It´s very stable, no errors, it catches everything, torrents too. And when I needed support a couple of times, the support team gave me an answer in a rush! I don´t change FMD!

I'm editing this review to 5 stars after seeing that the website you're downloading from causes the slowness. Now, with this, I don't have to download from the awfully slow Google download speed.

Please note that download speed mainly depends on the sources you are downloading data from. Many of these sources apply limitations that cannot be overridden. You should also make sure other applications don't download anything at the same time.

Experience so terrible I had to write a review:
Of all the downloaders I have ever used FDM is by far one of the most useless pieces of software to have ever graced one of my devices.
Doesnt capture download links.
Crashes and randomly restarts downloads from scratch.
Makes it incredibly difficult to refresh a download.
Actual bloatware and to the developers that made it, go kill yourselves for making software so bad it makes whatever native installer my browser uses or the pop ups of IDM a good looking alternative.
To the consumer do not waste your time or sanity and have a wonderful day.

dont trust this them
this is the most useless downloader i have ever come across. I say that because for the last 3 days i have tried to install gta 4 and because i live in south africa ,the power goes out every few hours it keeps crashing and then i have to start all over again and some people cant afford uncapped . This is bull

Please note, resuming may be supported only when the server side allows it.
What is more, many file hosting services generate temporary links and such downloads cannot be resumed when expired or interrupted. You should try an alternate (mirror) link in such cases.
In case the server side allows resuming download, you can continue downloading at any time.

Suspicious behaviour
It appears to add itself into the startup applications to run in the background on a freaking linux, where basically no application does that.
I don't think a download manager needs that for anything. If that isn't suspicious, I don't know what is. Make sure you don't type bank passwords or anything while having this running in the background.

FDM is automatically added to startup only to ensure quick interception of downloads. You can disable it in settings. Please rest assured that the program does not contain any malicious code or collect personal data.

Really good. I downloaded a game via uploadhaven where it literally downloaded with 85kb/s. I then downloaded free download manager. It does sound sketchy and the website is pretty sketchy but trust me, it has no virus and my game is downloading at 4MB/s. It's the highest my internet can go. Really recommend! 10/10
