I made a reservation in the summer. Upon our arrival in Cancún — after 17 hours of travel with two small children — no car was available despite our confirmed booking. We were forced to rent a replacement vehicle on the spot at eight times the original price.

Finalrentals apologized multiple times and stated they would coordinate with their local partner. On October 9, 2025, I finally received a written confirmation that the full difference would be reimbursed. I provided my bank details and was told the case was forwarded to their finance team. On October 20, 2025, I received another message stating they were “coordinating with the finance team.” Since then, I have received no further updates and no payment.

Conclusion: Despite a clear written commitment and all necessary documents (invoice for the emergency rental), the reimbursement has still not been paid. Communication has stretched over months, with delayed or vague responses.
I strongly advise caution when booking with this provider. The case has now been forwarded to my travel legal insurance.

UPDATE: the refund has now been successfully processed.

The staff was super friendly, pick up and drop off at airport fast and no problems. Staff in office didnt really know answers to our questions like crossing the boarders and so on, we also had insurance and were forced to buy another one. We got our deposit back without issues.

Rival Rentals — complete scam!

I booked a car in advance with full insurance for €100, paid half online, and planned to pay the rest on site. But when I arrived, it turned into a nightmare.

They demanded five times the original price, and only in cash.

Refused to accept my card, nitpicking the name on it, even though my card is completely legal and valid.

In the end, I did not get the car, lost precious time and money, and had to urgently rent a car elsewhere, paying more and ruining my plans.

This is not about a few euros — it’s a matter of principle and honesty. This company blatantly deceives clients, plays with their money and time. Never trust Final Rental s — it’s the worst service I have ever encountered.

Rented a car at Dalaman airport. The local provider was awful (not at the airport as advertised, unhelpful etc). The car had not been checked prior to hire.
The problems started on returning the car, it took 5 weeks to get the deposit back, and many messages with a changing story.
The deposit had been taken in local currency not Euros as the contract, and when they did finally return the money, it was $100 short.
Much battling with Finalrentals and the third party (who ignored Finalrentals in the end) and Finalrentals paid my outstanding money back.
I would rent from one of the well known companies in future.

I booked a car through Finalrentals, but they sent me to AutoUnion’s Istanbul office instead. I returned the car on July 31st, and I am still waiting for my deposit of €1,000 to be refunded. It has now been over two months.

I emailed Finalrentals on Sunday, but I still haven’t received any response. They redirected me to an unreliable company and don’t seem to take any responsibility, as I’m still left without any follow-up.

According to the contract, the deposit should have been refunded within one month. This is completely unacceptable.

I rented a car from Final Rentals in Istanbul from Aug 18 to 23, 2025. The service was generally great (would have rated it 4-5 stars). My two-star rating is due to the security deposit. They charged a high amount (750 Euros), which was still okay. However, I was told that I would receive my security deposit in about three weeks. Well, I haven't received it after one month. I am still hoping that they will return my deposit soon. I did contact them at the end of week 3.

Update: After reading my review, the company has promptly responded and returned my security deposit! I changed it from 2 stars to 3.

FinalRental Cars o Superior Rental. Son la misma empresa, en TIRANA, ALBANIA.
No alquiléis con esta empresa.
Son unos estafadores. Me entregaron un coche viejo con más de 106.000km.
Golpeado por todas partes.
Tengo seguro a todo riesgo contratado con Discover Car, y no tengo porque mentir, ni pelear con Final Rental Tirana.
Ya cuando llegamos sólo nos obligan a pagar en efectivo y sin dar ningún recibo 35€ por coger el coche tarde, lo pagamos sin problemas.
La zona donde te dan el coche un descampado sin luz, un coche viejo lleno de golpes por todas partes, con más de 106.000km.
Nos rellenan una hoja con los golpes, mirando con la linterna del móvil por la noche, aún así el dibujo queda marcado por todas partes.
A la hora de devolver el coche primero misión imposible. Pues no tienen una garita con en nombre como el resto de compañías. Aparece un hombre que te pregunta y te indica cómo llegar, después de media hora buscar donde poder dejarlo.
El chico que nos revisa el coche me pide la hoja que yo guardaba con todos los golpes marcados, revisa, dice que todo está bien, que se nos hará la devolución en la tarjeta de la fianza retenida, Y SE QUEDA CON LA HOJA DONDE APARECÍAN TODOS LOS GOLPES MARCADOS DEL COCHE,
contando ademas que se reviso de noche y sin luz.
Ya estando dentro del aeropuerto, 1 horita más tarde nos llega un mensaje que han detectado un golpe nuevo en el coche.
Cosa que sabemos es absolutamente falso, todos los hoteles donde hemos estado tenían parking para dejar el coche bien, y en todas las playas hay parkings donde se dejan los coches sin problema, con mucho espacio.
Además he tenido que pelear para que me digan cuál es el nuevo golpe, que me envíen fotos, etc... primero me mandan fotos del coche de lejos donde no se ve nada, insisto y me mandan un vídeo enseñándome un rasguño que ya estaba, el coche que nos dieron estaba realmente golpeado por todas partes.
La hoja donde se anotaban los golpes es diferente a la que luego nos adjuntan por whatssap, habiéndose quedado ellos en el momento de entregarlo la hoja real.
Tengo seguro a todo riesgo contratado a parte y no tengo porque mentir, adjunto fotos de toda la conversación para que ustedes puedan contemplar si es una forma profesional y correcta de hablar con un cliente.
Para mí esta compañía son una MAFIA, unos
ESTAFADORES.
No alquilen con esta compañía si queréis terminar con una sensación feliz del viaje.
Con esta compañía te sientes estafado.

Vă solicit să îmi transmiteți în cel mai scurt timp regulamentul intern și temeiul legal care au stat la baza refuzului de a închiria o mașină unei persoane cu deficiență de auz. Consider acest refuz un act clar de discriminare, contrar legislației române și europene în vigoare privind egalitatea de tratament și accesul la servicii.

Persoanele cu deficiență de auz dețin permis de conducere valabil, obținut în urma parcurgerii școlii de șoferi și susținerii examenelor legale, având aceeași pregătire și competență ca orice alt conducător auto. În România, nicio altă companie de închirieri auto nu impune astfel de restricții ilegale, în afară de compania dumneavoastră.

Pe site-ul companiei dumneavoastră nu există afișată nicio prevedere care să interzică închirierea vehiculelor către persoane cu deficiențe de auz. Lipsa acestei informații ne-a indus în eroare și a condus la o situație gravă: la sosirea noastră, ați refuzat predarea mașinii și ați anulat rezervarea, deși toate celelalte companii aveau deja flota complet ocupată.

Vă notific oficial că vom înainta plângere către Consiliul Național pentru Combaterea Discriminării, precum și către Autoritatea Națională pentru Protecția Consumatorilor, solicitând totodată despăgubiri pentru prejudiciul moral și material creat prin refuzul abuziv al serviciului.

Aștept răspunsul dumneavoastră în scris, în termen de 3 zile lucrătoare de la primirea acestui mesaj. În lipsa unui răspuns, vom continua demersurile legale.

Final Rentals, VelinRent, Grupovelasco are scam driven firms, renting cars for DoyouSpain. Definitely not worth the headache. Require way too much scheduling to pick & return vehicle since they are too small to have airport agents or location. Their main business appears to be keeping the €500 deposit. Excusing themselves to have errors with their credit card terminal to complete reimbursement. They claim their credit card processing is Banco de Santander, who are unable to understand or help resolve error..
Steer away from these companies. Cheaper car rentals turn expensive. Wanted to rent a car, not a full time job to get my security deposit reimbursed.

No issues, with this company.

1tens. Unfreundliches Personal.
2tens. Versicherung wurde nicht akztptiert (rental covers) und musste erneut eine zu hohen Konditionen abschliessen.
3tens gemietetes Auto entsprach absolut nicht der Grösse die ich angemietet hatte, was das wichtigste Kriterium für uns war.
4tens Parkschaden (unverschuldet Fahrerflucht) wurde bei der Polizei angezeigt. Selbstbehalt 500 Dollar Schaden 504 Dollar. Versicherung die nicht akzeptiert wurde (rental cover) übernahm den Schaden nach längerem hick hack. Sehr suspekte Organisation mit vielen extra Kosten. Finger weg lieber mehr ausgeben und im Endeffekt sparen plus weniger Ärger. No time again
