Great service, recommended
Excellent service, very friendly team. They held a bass for me on a small deposit and when I drove up from London to pick it up it was exactly as described and beautifully set up (they asked me how I wanted it). Huge shop too, with lots of stock including a large used selection which is good to see.

Guitar should have been checked
Fender Jim Adkins JA-90 guitar was delivered next day as promised. However, it looks like this guitar had been in the warehouse for a long time (it's serial number is 2023) . The protective plastic covering the pickups was extremely hard to remove and left an adhesive coating on the pickups. I removed it (it took a while) using isopropyl alcohol but I really shouldn't need to do this on a new guitar. The guitar should have been checked before being sent.

While the guitar was sold as a new instrument, it appears that the protective covering had adhered more strongly than expected during storage. We completely understand your frustration, particularly as you were expecting the guitar to be ready to enjoy straight out of the box. Although we're glad you were able to remove the residue, we agree that this should not have required additional effort on your part.
