Guitar should have been checked
Fender Jim Adkins JA-90 guitar was delivered next day as promised. However, it looks like this guitar had been in the warehouse for a long time (it's serial number is 2023) . The protective plastic covering the pickups was extremely hard to remove and left an adhesive coating on the pickups. I removed it (it took a while) using isopropyl alcohol but I really shouldn't need to do this on a new guitar. The guitar should have been checked before being sent.

While the guitar was sold as a new instrument, it appears that the protective covering had adhered more strongly than expected during storage. We completely understand your frustration, particularly as you were expecting the guitar to be ready to enjoy straight out of the box. Although we're glad you were able to remove the residue, we agree that this should not have required additional effort on your part.

Great experience.
It said next day delivery, and it was next day delivery. The Guitar was very well packaged, and no damage from transit.
The neck on my new Guitar took a few days to acclimatise, during which time I did have some concerns, but the customer support from Tariq and Tom was first class.
I'm very happy with my purchase, the price, and the fast delivery.
I will definitely buy from Fair Deal Music again.

Absolutely Awesome

Good stock. Good Delivery - strange sales pitch
We've historically gone to Guitar Guitar before and had exceptional service but this time we needed a drum kit and Fair Deal had more set up in store. I spoke to a really helpful guy on the phone and then went in the following weekend. They have a load of stock of guitars! Plus pianos, drums and accessories. However, I was really disappointed in the customer service. We were jumped on quite quickly but that was OK we weren't browsing we were there to buy. When I asked advice I was asked (tongue in cheek) how rich I was, skint, rich or filthy rich. Whilst probably meant as a cheeky comment I thought it was an inappropriate opener! He also wasn't the most knowledgeable on drums so we waited for the guy who was. I went over and asked him for some help but he was pretty blunt and nonchalant. Had I not needed to order one there and then and travelled 45 mins I would have gone elsewhere. A very different experience to our numerous purchases at guitar guitar.
