great quality bike

Although, Ken has had some issues with delay due to supply chain (seems to be common at the moment for a raft of industries), he contacted me to offer up an alternative solution, which worked for both of us. After agreeng, everyting was delivered as agreed. The quality of the bike is great and exceeded our expectation. Thanks Ken

Do not rent from this company

Do not rent from this company. I got a model 18, didn’t even fill out a proper agreement, the bike delivered was an absolute mess, it was absolutely filthy. Yes they deliver products without even being bothered to at least wipe off the dirt and during a pandemic when hygiene is paramount.

The bike didn’t even have any pedals, I had to buy my own from Halfords despite it’s main selling point being a electric pedal bike ....

Battery life was atrocious, I’m not sure if that was down to the cheap build or the fact the battery was some 10 tonne Chinese piece of scrap that despite multiple hours trying I couldn’t find any information on online and the battery company seemed dodgy. Charge time is about 9/10 hours not 5 as advertised.

The mirrors too would constantly become loose and swing around making them pointless.

The suspension is almost nonexistent, every speed bump and every pothole or small stone on the road even will feel like you’re being uppercutted up the rear end by the earth itself. Completely uncomfortable.

Lights are poor, I had better AA battery torches when I was a kid 20 years ago to be honest. Also the back indicators are completely blocked from view by the topbox and are so weak they don’t even shine on the ground so they’re pointless.

To give you an idea how cheap and nasty this bike is the LED display is an iBike display and can be bought on AliExpress.

The staff you talk to you are illiterate and lack any basic grammar.

To end the review I ended up returning the bike after about two weeks and going with a different company that allowed me to rent a factory new electric moped made in Italy with the option to buy at the end.

Horrible company
Lazy staff
Cheap Chinese trash products

Trust me, do your research and go elsewhere it’ll be the best decision you’ll make.

You rented a bike from us in March 2021 but did not make your rental payments as you had committed to do.

On 18th April, you emailed

"I’m very sorry for the inconvenience caused, unfortunately due to a health condition my work has been limited and am currently on the mend, I sincerely apologise for missing my payments."

After months of obfuscation on your part we eventually managed to recover our property in May at which point you posted this review.

But it doesn't end there because on 23rd August, despite the above comments in your review, you applied to rent another bike!!!!

What happened to the "factory new electric moped made in Italy". Did you not pay for that one either?

Unsurprisingly we declined your application.........

Lack of information and help

No proper information about the bike purchased, no user manual, just told to "watch the promo video on youtube". Bike delivered 2 days after purchase with only 12 hours notice. Documents took 7 days to arrive. Lack of info and clarity over DVLA registration which ought to be done by the seller and not left to the buyer. My application was rejected by DVLA after waiting 5 weeks, now I have to re-apply and wait a minimum of 8 weeks for registration (according to DVLA person I spoke to). All this time I can't insure the bike without the reg number and my house insurance won't cover it. I am left now with a bike I bought in spring and won't be able to even test-ride until near the end of summer, sitting uninsured in my front garden. I don't even know if the bike works or if there are any defects and am losing around 3-4 months of ride time while paying £10 per day on public transport to work because I can't use the bike.
Useless company that really needs to get it's act together and provide some proper customer care - mainly proper info on the bike and registering it for the customer.

Very sorry that it took so long to get your bike registered. DVLA do not give us the option to pre register to customers and they have ground to a halt this year blaming Covid, I'm afraid.

The bike arrived as expected. Deadline and conditions were met. But that's just the store's obligation. The product is good (not exceptional, though). Any extra you may need, forget it. They offer no post-selles assistance, no support, no partners to help you with whatever you may need. Be sure you will find maintenance in your city before buying a white elephant. I'm waiting for parts (new tyres) for over 6 months which makes me wonder about their "2-year warranty".

We offer a full two year warranty on our bikes but expecting us to send a technician to Edinburgh to fix a puncture is unrealistic, I'm afraid.

Great service

Great service and communication was easy whether by phone or email. Would be 5 stars if moped had came already DVLA registered. Frustrating having the moped but having to wait to ride it .

Didn’t work

I entered into a lease agreement. The bike did not work properly and while they accepted the free return of the bike, they kept my deposit even though the goods they sent did not work properly.

I accept that I would forfeit my deposit as per the lease agreement.

I used the bike once to test and found that due to my tendinitis I found that I couldn’t use the bike due to its weight.

Absolutely the worse customer service…

Absolutely the worse customer service in the world! Bike motor had broke after only 100 miles, the manager TIM told me it was my fault even though it was well within warranty and it was poorly made. I had to pay £200 if I wanted it fixing. The bike has been gone 1 month now as apparently they don’t know how to fix their own bikes. I was told by other staff that TIM never answers the phone and only takes emails as they must not know what customer service is. Will never buy one of these bikes again! When you spend over £1000 on a bike you’d expect it to work for more that 100 miles 🤣

You seem to have bought a used bike sometime in 2019 and we have repeatedly tried to assist you in keeping it on the road. We have had it back to our workshop twice as you had somehow severed the main cable to the motor.

There is no warranty from E Rider when you buy one of our bikes second hand.

I asked for information only and didn't even fill the rental form fully. communication is very bad and customer service is the worst. they used my address without my permission to use and delivered an e-moped which was not even in working condition. so even if i wanted to rent it, I couldn't. then i had to spend my own money to move it. the customer service said you shouldn't have moved it and the bike was in a working condition so they are telling me it's my fault. instead of compensating me for the mental distress they have caused me, they threaten to file a police report if I don't give the bike to the collection driver and say that I stole it. Again, DO NOT USE ANY SERVICES FROM THIS COMPANY.

We responded to this person's libellous review on another site explaining that he rented a bike from us, did not make any payment and then moved the bike to another location. He responded to this review by sending the following email.

"Hi, this is Preet. not sure if you remember me. I just saw your reply on my google review. You said I breached the rental agreement. I did not sign any rental agreement. I did not fully complete the form on your website. full completion means me filling the direct debit information too. if I didn't give my direct debit information, how can I cancel it? anyways, I don't want to get into that now. My mental state was terrible because of it. I am still giving you an option. If you compensate me with £40 for my distress and the towing fee, I will be happy to remove my review and post a good review because it will show your customer service is good and more people would want to become your customers. "
