My ECC experience

Previously, I had written a review and Mark Jobling at ECC contacted me straight away and aimed to resolve the issue of no communication. He gave me a direct contact (Remi) at ECC to communicate with.
After having tried to contact the Remi twice, I received the standard automated reply that they will be in touch within 3 - 5 working days. I have not heard from them. My contract is with ECC yet I cannot get hold of them. I and be seeking legal guidance.

Hi Shah. Can you help us identify you? "Shah" is not enough. Are you sure you don't mean ecc.dk? We can't find anyone called Shah in our database. Is it a nickname?

I was hoping I would get an outcome of our case I was contacted by Ecc and was told they will look into it and update us as soon as possible
I have had one notification since saying they still looking into it
We have come to the conclusion we are not getting anything but feel so disappointed and let down
it is our fault we fell for the sales talk we were told we had a very good chance of getting some compensation or they wouldn’t take the case on
Wrong again trust is a great thing and we let our guard down and was taken in
You learn by your mistakes it only took me twice to learn this hopefully I don’t make a third one

Made me feel Pressured and uneasy

Made me feel Pressured and uneasy. Once mentioned they are making me feel pressured I was told your loss £40000!!!! I will go now.

Not the way to speak to people. Would rather go without than have this which I find very Rude indeed.

Research the company before parting with money for caravan claim

The company advertised on a radio station to help with mis-sold caravans at parks. They took over £6000 and assured me my money was safe and the money was for external solicitors to take the case. I told them on numerous occasions that it was a long time ago and yet they still assured me that did not matter. After almost a year they have said it is 'NON-VIABLE' case as it is so long ago. Now they are claiming they are charging for their costs when initially they would take a 20% of claim pay-out and original payment £6K would be covered by holiday Park. Now I am in dispute with them and they are stalling, changing their narrative and generally being unhelpful and determined to keep my money. Be aware this company cannot guarantee you a win and then will keep monies paid whilst giving the assurance that it will be returned to you if case does not go ahead!
Another very interesting point is POOR REVIEWS like mine ARE QUICKLY REMOVED! With the implication that it may not be a genuine review!
Do your research before you part with any money to this company and record all correspondence with them including the initial ZOOM meeting.
I lost money years ago and now feel like I have been cheated out of more as I believe they have misrepresented themselves in my case and should not have taken my case on initially.

And even if we did have that power, it would be pointless to remove a bad review. We wouldn't be able to learn anything...

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service provided by ECC. I have been asked by Trustpilot not to include personal information in this review, so I will keep this general.

The overall experience has been frustrating and far below what should be expected from a professional organisation. Communication has been poor, and the handling of the situation has lacked transparency and accountability throughout.

Due to the unresolved issues and the way the matter has been managed, I have had no choice but to escalate things further. My bank is now actively involved and taking steps to recover my money.

Based on this experience, I would strongly urge others to proceed with caution.

Hi Monica. TrustPilot does allow identifying information. As you (and anyone reading this) can see, every other ECC reviewer mentions those details about dealing with ECC. So you are starting this "general/lacking any specifics" review from a position that is demonstrably incorrect. As you yourself have written, "Trustpilot encouraged me to edit my previous review with any personal details" presumably in order to demonstrate that you have the correct company. You have refrained from following their advice.

I do think you may have the wrong company. I believe you may actually be thinking of www.ECC.dk. Many other people have made this mistake, as you will see by checking their page. So you should not feel bad about it.

If however you can demonstrate that you are actually a customer of ours I am more than happy to help you.

After 2 years of waiting for a…

After 2 years of waiting for a resolution to our Diamond timeshare issue we were referred to Steven who quickly resolved the issues and guided us through process to relinquish our membership, hopefully this is the end of our nightmare re Diamond

Termination of Points Ownership Contract

Disposal of a timeshare at Orange Lake Country Club

Offered professional advice on how to deal with the disposal of the timeshare at Orange Lake Country Club, Kissimmee. The process took several months, however Steven John has now confirmed that the timeshare is being repossessed and I have no further interest in the unit.

Our worry is that we might lose a lot more than 10% of any compensation received.

Come on ECC - Remi, Anne, Paul,Rob -please don't spoil a so far positive experience by this ridiculous lack of communication - an email would take two minutes and we have a LOT of money at stake here, as you are aware

May take a few years

Hopefully on the final stretch, has taken nearly five years but got out of the contract in the end. Will just stay patient and wait for the final conclution.

Finally out of my Timeshare contract

Finally after trying for many years to get out of my Contract, I was referred to Steven by ECC. Steven guided me as to what I needed to do and what information had to be provided.
I must admit that at first I was a tad sceptical that it could be resolved quickly (having been scammed in the past). However his advice worked and the time share termination was resolved very quickly. I am timeshare free. Thank you Steven.

Always There When We Needed Them

We were at our wits end when we realised how we had been misled / mis sold or whatever you would like to call it in Las Vegas. We had been sold a dream that was based on a pack of lies and sales talk. It wasn't to good to be true and it sounded feasible but it wasn't.
We were looking how to remove ourselves from this nightmare and I looked on line and found European Consumer Claims and I made contact.
After my first conversation with them I relaxed, just a little as we were shown a way out. The quickly signed us up and guaranteed that we come out at the end with no timeshare and no legal issues in the USA.
The money we paid seemed a lot and at the start it felt like we weren't getting much for it. The process is a waiting game basically and waiting to see which side would blink first. What ECC gave us was confidence when we got emails, letters or phone calls threatening us with legal action for passing our debt to a UK bailiff. I would email Steve with the latest threat and normally within a few minutes, and never more than an hour I would receive a reply saying to ignore this because..... or he would give me the text to reply. He is a man of a few words but they are wise and they are very very comforting. I never felt worried after I had received an email from him or had a brief conversation. That is what our money had paid for and it allowed me to sleep at night and feel confident that we were going to come out of it ok at the end. Thank you

Paid 5500 promised we could cancel…

Paid 5500 promised we could cancel anytime very hard to contact over the last year then got an email saying they cannot do anything and we didn't get a penny back so disappointed don't know howecc team can sleep at night

Never lose hope.

Despite months having passed, Steven went out of his way to provide us with answers to our questions. We began to wonder if this had been a huge trick but Steven has assured us that it has not been and helped us get back on track again. He has been by our side all the way and we wish him well in the future.

Contract Cancellation with Diamond Resorts

Trying to cancel my Contract with Diamond Resorts, for over 7 years, has caused much distress and ill health to us. We were referred to ECC for assistance and was guided through the process by Steven John. We were kept up to date every step of the way. It is with much relief that the process has had a very positive outcome and we don’t have to worry anymore and can enjoy life again. If it was possible I would have happily given Steven 7 stars
