I have followed several Steel Mace Flow and Clubs flow online courses and in person workshops. This is highly valuable experience helping to learn important details and to build a proper swing technique.

Happy to enjoy a privilege to have such a talented trainer as Harbert here in Amsterdam and to follow him as one of my guides on the path of Flow.

Great explanations, great demonstrations. Excellent tips and cues.
I also found the breakdown of the exercise very helpful. Right down to the presentation of the video. I can't find fault.

Super waardevolle ervaring. Ik heb mijzelf weer wat beter leren kennen. Niet alleen motorisch/ spiertechnisch, maar juist ook wat (samen)bewegen mentaal met je doet. Daarom ook voor de dutch flow academy gekozen, omdat deze meer biedt dan ‘alleen’ bewegen. Top dagen, dank aan het team van de DFA!

I attended the in-person Mace Instructor Certification with Dutch Flow Academy. An incredible experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. Harbert is an excellent instructor who's super passionate about the mace in all its historic forms.

The course not only teaches you the mechanics of different mace swings, but also teaches you how to connect everything together and build it into a lesson plan that will help you bring that knowledge across to your potential students.

On top of that, the course is a wonderful experience that connects you more closely to the mace and the cultures that it comes from, and forms personal connections with others who are similarly interested and passionate about mace flow and mace swinging.

This is a review of March 2024 Mace instructor Lvl1 certification Weekend that I had the pleasure of going to. If you are looking for just a a regular certificate and a exercise workshop, look elsewhere, as what you find at Dutch Flow Academy not only exceeds those requirements, but also goes far deeper that just a weekend gathering. The level of comradery, emotional and mental encouragement, coupled with unforgettable experience of bonding over swinging maces with group of like hearted individuals, are things you only find here at Harbert's headquarters! His genuine enthusiasms and passion for all things Macebells and Gada's, together with his supportive presence, keen coaching skills and humongous sense of humor, make this a one of a kind, memorable event. The only thing I wish was different, was that I could go back in time to Freshly experience in all again! So i'm a bit jealousy of those who are freshly joining the Dutch flow community. Strap in and be prepared for one heck of a ride!

Enjoying the videos and learning to use a mace. Videos are easy to understand with everything broken down in to bitesize chunks giving you the chance to keep going over the video repeatedly.

I was honored to recently attend a 3 day Level 1 Mace Instructor Certification in Zevenaar. The quality of instruction and structure of the overall program were excellent. I am glad I made the decision to fly from Australia in order to attend. I have attended multiple mace related training programs in different parts of the world and the Dutch Flow Academy program is without a doubt the best to date!

An experience that can change your life. Not only is the training with the Mace taught here in a depth that is otherwise hard to achieve, the entire certification course is an enriching experience. Harbert is a very competent trainer and his knowledge of the Mace is unique. He is also an exceptional person who brought the group together in such a short time. A bond was created that can last a lifetime. I look forward to further events with him.

MACE CERTIFICATION 2024: During a weekend in March I completed the Mace Certification created by Harbert Egberts (Dutch Flow Academy). These three days were transformative in many ways. First of all the certification content, information and guidance were top quality - Harbert really is a Master of his craft and he is equally capable of teaching it to others. His love for this humble yet amazing tool is obvious and so is his willingness to pass it on. For this alone the course was and is worth the travel and has added a solid foundation for my continued mace journey (personally and as an instructor)
But there is so much more you will receive: Terrific meal times (the food is excellent) and enjoyable evenings shared with the other participants (if your abdominals are not cramping after the training they will do caused by laughter). Besides laughter and good times all participants brought different views and experiences making it a very inspirational atmosphere and I left with, not only a diploma, but also new friends (Brothers in Mace😉)
All this put together turned three days in Holland into something special and a moment in time I will remember - and this is thanks to Harbert!
Whole heartedly recommended and look forward to continue the journey with Dutch Flow Academy.

The relationship in the 7-day 360 course between teaching and intro/talking about how I feel/advertising other courses is not balanced for me.
And I expected original content. It helped me, but not that much as I expected. More focus on technique and cues would help

Harbert takes his time to explain every movement correctly and then allows you the opportunity to practice it in the workshop.

The online course was really easy to understand and follow. I also love the relaxed teaching style, it suits me perfectly

I am new to swinging light clubs. I found light clubs 101 to be very helpful in teaching me how to properly swing the clubs. The instructions are very clear and the demonstrations are really good for showing the landmarks. I have recently started light clubs six. I am really enjoying this course. It is definitely helping me bring it all together.
Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn or improve on their swings.

Simply the best!
Harbert is simply the best mace and club trainer in the world. Period.
