A year ago I started surfing, and after a few months I hit a wall. I didn’t understand why, and I had no idea how to get better. By chance, I came across the SAP Community. Honestly, I’m still pinching myself that something like this excists!

It is surreal the amount of knowledge Pepijn has and puts in the community. Becoming a member of SAP has been the best surfing decision I’ve ever made. You can just feel his passion in everything he does.

What I love most is how genuinely involved he is in your progress: he doesn’t just give surf tips; you can tell he truly wants you to become a better surfer!! It really feels like you’re working towards something together.

I already noticed results after my first (!!) video analysis. He directly pinpointed where I was stuck, and believe it or not: after implementing just one of the suggestions he gave me, it changed the game for me BIG time. Even my surfbuddies couldn't believe the progress I made in just a week... I had been stuck there for months.

I love it that Pepijn encourages you to watch your own video's and give yourself feedback in order to ask questions specifically on your video. By observing yourself instead of let the coach tell you what to do, I feel like my learning curve multiplies even more. He basicly teaches you how to not need him haha.

What I also experience as a HUGE pro about the SAP-community that it is not just about the about the technical or tangible stuff. There is also a lot of attention on mindset, confidence, and the way you approach surfing as a whole. I personally love that!!

And lastly, the most important: I think SAP is beyond high-quality and coaching at pro level. I have competed in another sport at a high level before where I was supported by a coaching team. And the way Pepijn coaches in combination with SAP feels exactly the same! I am telling you: this is pro stuff delivered staight at you, that’s how dedicated and high-quality it is! This is why nobody should think twice about joining.

I did a surf trip with Pepijn and immediately became a member of Surf Academy Pro and have not regretted it for a second! Pepijn is a great coach and if you really want to make progress this is the place!

There are always 1000's options for lessons if you are a beginner surfer, but as soon as you start to go a bit towards intermediate you get stuck in your own way and your progress stagnates (or you teach yourself the wrong things).

Since I have been under Pepijn's care I have made more progress in 1 year than all previous years combined! I have made huge leaps and am now actually surfing top to bottom, speed generating, making top turns and my first cutbacks!

It is very nice to get feedback and tips from just 1 single coach, who knows you as a surfer and really invests time in you to actually achieve your goals. Already only the content on the platform is really good! And in addition you also get personal coaching in various areas. Pepijn helped me buy a new board and if you send a video of less than 15 seconds, you can expect half an hour of extensive surf analysis!

Learning on the SAP course and talking about things with Pep and on the community platform was opening my eyes to my own mistakes.

Also the mindset shift that Pepijn tries to bring to the platform is so beneficial to the process.

There is so much focus on enjoying the process and tackling the frustration you can get when learning doesn't go on your envisioned pace. Coincidentially i think that's what makes it work so well!

I joined Surf Academy Pro because I wanted to jump start learning to surf (I was starting from scratch).

I found the video based courses were very high quality, but for me the killer value is that you get video analysis and community discussion that has helped me to develop other both my surfing and provide encouragement and accountability to prioritise my health and fitness, including bespoke training program.

Thanks to this I have lost weight, surfed green waves on a hard top on the ocean all in about 6 months and have a strong support network for more progress for the rest of my surfing journey.

I joined Surf Academy Pro because I had trouble steering my surfboard and made little progress. After following the online lessons and also some coaching sessions I understand the principles. I really notice progress again and I can now steer my surfboard. What I didn't know then is that you also learn a lot from each other. A lot of surfers have similar questions and problems. The coaching is personal and wherever you are you always have a coach on "speed dial"

First time I got to meet Pepijn was through a one on one coaching session through video call. He ran me through my surf footage and pointed out techniques i needed to progress my bottom turn. After a month also training on land, I got the feeling that the technique clicked.
Pepijn. has a vast amount of knowledge about surfing and surf training. After the video call I joined the surf academy pro app to get access to more video content.

Surf academy pro gives you all techniques you need to progress fast in surfing. Not only on the board but on land training and training schemes.
One of the eye openers is the swim training schedule to progress surfing. I applied this and within a few months I did not even get exhausted shoulders after an hour in the surf in a winter suit with gloves.

Next i will get into training schemes and how to benefit most in scheduling my on land trainings.

Very nice is also that there is a community of people sharing videos and progress. Pepijn reacts on the footage so you can learn from others too. Keep up the good work!

I would definitely suggest everyone to join Surf Academy Pro as it contains basically everything you need as a learning surfer. You can always ask peers for feedback and there is a lot of content already out there to learn from. Furthermore, the platform works smoothly and looks clean. It's a very professional platform for improving your surfing.

I joined SAP a while ago because I wanted to improve my surfing. And I must say that I have experienced a lot of progression ever since.
I went on a surf trip with Pepijn and a group of dedicated people last year and learned so much in one week!
Pepijn is a super relaxed guy and the way he explains everything is very clear, simple and on point.
The video courses are something you can always fall back on. Almost everything you can think in surfing of is covered in the video's. There is even a full course on wave forecasting.
If you got any questions you can ask them in the community and you can also send in your surf videos to get al full video analyse.
Pepijn is always busy with improvements and I can't wait to see what's next!

I love it that you can ask Pepjin anything anytime. If you ask for a video analysis he will do a vey good one pretty quickly.

I started using Surf Academy Pro to make better use of my time at sea.
I have learnt to get more out of poor conditions.
It's a good tool for learning out of the water and improving your time in the water.
You will also find a friendly community and like-minded people with whom you can communicate and meet up.
In addition, Pepjin helps with questions and answers them very quickly.

I joined the academy because after years of trying to learn how to surf on my own I was stuck not making any progress. With Pepijn's guidance I started to understand what actions I need to take to snap out of It. I realized how important is on land training and practice is for example.
I think it's worth it. It won't make you a surfer magically, but it's much better than try to learn it on your own or between the surfcamps, 1,2 times a year. Prepare for long term time and effort investment though.

I think Pepijn is really a professional. I started with the online surf academy program three years ago. As a beginner I wanted to be busy with surfing all the time, to absorb everything about surfing, also when there were no waves. With help of the program I could practice at home. Now, three years later, I still check on the program every now and then, because things I didn't even hear a few years ago, are more clear to me now. So the program grows with you.
In everything video there is something you can use for your surfing and if it's something that you already control then switch to the next video.

The box in your hands to have the right stance was really something that clicked in my head and body.
Playing with your board after the take-off to get it in the right way and to avoid nosediving and of course 'look to where you want to go'.

What I really appreciate is the fact that Pepijn develops himself as well. You can see and feel that in the program and in his live surf coaching. He helps you to progress in a very calm and clear way.

It’s now been a year since I joined the SAP, after having a very insightful coaching trip with Pepijn.

There are three big benefits:
You can work more seriously on your surf progression because you have a place to go with all your questions and struggles. It creates a more continuous learning process rather than just separate coaching trips here and there. And Pepijn's feedback is clear, empathetic, and helpful.

Especially how much it helps to talk about your struggles in the water with people who also want to improve their surfing by overcoming obstacles. It is very helpful to just be able to exchange thoughts.

I’ve become so much more aware of many things, which allows me to recognize them both in the water and in videos of others. Although I feel like I’m still not in the water enough to really apply things yet and so notice changes :)

After a very pleasant and informative coaching trip with Pepijn Tigges, I joined his SAP.
It contains very valuable information that's explained in a simple to understand and clear way. On top of that, the community is a wonderful thing to have. The team works hard to keep everyone engaged and (in a positive way) accountable for their surf progression.
The video analyses are also such great feedback to have available. Each of them has been very helpful for my surfing.

I learned better manoeuvers, better positioning, better timing, better board choices, and so much more!

I joined Surf Academy Pro like 10 months ago. What really stands out is the very illustrative way Pepijn helps you to understand surfing. He uses lots of metaphors to describe the take-off, generating speed, doing bottom and top turns, and so on. Most surf instructors just show you how to do it on the beach, but I always forgot the exact movements while in the water. With Pepijns method, I could actually remember and made decent progression with for example my bottom turn.

It must be said that you need access to a camera person now and then to take videos of you surfing, as the coaching is of course online and thus based on video analysis. So consider your opportunities there, but there are lots of ways to get those, for example wave pools with cameras, surf videographers on the beach, friends with their phones, etc.!

Also SAP offers a lot of online theory which is really nice to study and apply in your surfing, and I love the concept of paying one time and getting life-long coaching and analysis.

All in all, I would highly recommend joining SAP if you're passionate about improving your surfing.

While first hesitant, I'm very glad I joined SAP. It keeps me accountable for my progress and forces me to think about what and how I can improve. Especially the video analysis done by Pepijn are gold.

Pepijn his Surf Academy Pro program is really nice. The content is delivered by using clear language and easy to grasp. I had a lot of ‘Aha’ moments already in the first few days/weeks I enrolled.

I was already familiar with similar platforms like OMBE surf. Despite the fact I also liked things about OMBE, there was a lot of repetition to fill space and I found it quite vague at times. In comparison with the Surf Academy Pro the content is no longer then it needs to be and very to the point.

I have not made use of sending in surf videos yet and receiving feedback, but I have observed other members do it and I can already see myself reaping a lot of the benefits in the near feature. The feedback you got follows the same structure as the content: easy to grasp language, and just enough to push you to the next level without confusing or overloading you.

Im surfing now 3 years. 2 years in belgium 1year in portugal

Im doing this course now for 7 months and i need to say its really amazing. Im obssessed by surfing and learning now top to bottom surf. And its working sometimes because of the videos and tips from surfacademypro!
Even my surfskate skills are much improved because of this course!

I have only recently become a member of SAP. I can already say it was more than worth spending the money on. You get competent help at all levels. Either via the video courses, via the community or personal contact with Pepijn. Everyone is addressed individually. What I like best is the detailed video analysis. You can upload videos to the community and Pepijn will evaluate them in detail and give tips. Even if you don't upload videos yourself, you can learn a lot from the video analyzes of other surfers. Pepijn is really attentive, I feel like I'm in very good hands with him. The price of the course may seem quite high, but it is more than worth it. Pepijn puts so much work and passion into the videos and analysis that the price is more than justified.

I have bought the SAP already a while ago. Actually when I was recovering from my broken anckle. Since I was not able to surf I could go through all the techniques again. Pepijn has uploaded so many video’s of every step in progressing your surfing, which is supeeeeer usefull to watch and already imagine yourself surfing.

Besides that I have been uploading already quite a few videos in the community and the greatest thing is that Pepijn really takes his time analyzing your wave and how you surf on it. Not only analyzing the turns but also how you should read the wave and on what section what turn is suitable. That was so helpfull for me. And what I also liked about the analysis is that you compare it to a pro surfer. So that you can really see the difference between your technique and from the pro surfers. It already helped me so much with improving my surfskills.

I would definitely recommend this community to others! Wherever you are in the world you can get coaching from a distance. How great is that! Thanks again Pepijn for putting al the work into this community
