As clear as mud, as to how to pay to drop off someone. Does not feel very friendly either, the Airport is providing a Service, whats with the access to the airport to facilitate travel from start to finish? Sort it out for goodness sakes 🤔

Trying to pay is a nightmare for me anyway, on return from Gatwick I went online to pay this charge, at first
attempt it couldn't find my car although I entered the correct reg number, after four attempts the payment page appeared which I filled in and paid the charge. Checking to see any email confirmation of payment the next day there was non
I then proceeded to pay again through the by phone option, this automated system is a nightmare, eventually payment was taken and I was given a reference number. Still not convinced this has worked and wanting to assurances I have paid and wanting to avoid any fine for not paying within the payment time I decided to try and find a contact phone number, eventually it seemed that NCP are the culprits. I phoned said number which was for customer service where I explained this problem and wanted clarification of payment, will I might have well not bothered all this C.S chap doing was telling me how it worked and what to do. He did not seem to grasp the simplicity of my question, eventually in total frustration I ended the phone call.

Un transparent, time wasting and a disgrace
I dropped off a family member at Gatwick airport and saw its no longer free to drop off. OK I get why however the process to pay is not easy or quick and needs to be improved on- first you have to register - ridiculous if its a one off event. Then I got home and it took me ages to register, enter card payments, only to discover that the system only takes autopayment for events AFTER you register. So I had to do battle with their online payment system again entering all my details again including car reg to settle todays £5 drop off charge. Altogether this has taken me 30 min of my sunday which, on top of the time taking family to airport I really resent. Common for a large business to have such a tortuous payment process is really poor. It should take seconds on a mobile device.
