Charged £7 for the privilege of 4 mins. Highway robbery, theft springs to mind

Awful airport, you are most likely to miss your flight if you are changing at this airport as you have to pick up your luggage and check it in again. Staff was ignorant too when I was lost in rush and trying to find departure gates.

Another disgruntled drop off customer... Brought in under the auspices of covid to shore up finances... now just a money flogging exercise. these types of things should be made illegal.

from now on, I will go out of my way to avoid using the drop off zones.

drop off £7 !!! this is a extreme charge for the service which is given. by the way can u explain what service is given at drop off ? flight ticket is 30 pound (sometimes) to Europe, 7 pounds just drop off. wow !!

Registered with the website before drop off along with the vehicle details just before dropping off. Despite this they failed to charge my car using autopay and there is no option to pay manually yourself.
Next thing I know 4 weeks later I get a demand for a £100 fine. This feels like a scam and would put me off using gatwick again.

Just like everything in this third world country it's all about making as much money from honest people as possible.

Googled pay drop off fee. The first site that came up was gatwickdropoffcharge co uk. It is NOT THE OFFICIAL SITE for paying the drop off fee and will charge you £10 instead of £6. I was rushed, stressed, scared of forgetting to pay and getting slapped with a £100 fine, so I just paid it. £10 for a few minutes spent at the drop off is a disgusting vile rip-off!

I recently received a £100 fine from NCP for using the Gatwick Airport South Terminal Drop-Off Zone without paying online. This was my first time visiting the airport, and I had no idea about their online payment system. There were no clear signs or payment instructions that I could easily see, and I only found out about this system when I received the fine weeks later.

I appealed, explaining that this was an honest mistake due to a lack of visible information, but NCP rejected my appeal without real consideration. They claim there is “adequate signage,” but if that were true, so many people wouldn’t be caught off guard like this. Instead of providing a fair resolution, they just extended the discounted fine deadline—still forcing me to pay for a charge I never knew about.

This feels like a deliberate money-making scheme rather than a fair parking policy. There should be clearer signs at entry points and exits, with clear instructions on how to pay, especially for first-time visitors.

Extremely disappointed with how they operate, and I would not recommend using NCP parking at Gatwick or anywhere else. Be extra cautious if you do!

An absolute scam. This is a cheap money grabbing exercise one would normally associate with a third world country. The sooner such scams are made illegal the better!!

I have been completely bullied and bludgeoned into submission by NCP. This massive company has exploited me by what basically amounts to extorsion. I didn't believe that this could really happen and a company could bulldoze someone into demanding money for nothing.. there seems to be no law to whom they have to answer to.
My friend dropped us off at Gatwick North Terminal on 14th Jan 2025. His vehicle was registered with autopay on MY account. He had dropped us off at least 4 times previously without a problem. Then a few days later he was issued with a PCN demanding £60.!
I did not want HIM to have to deal with this obviously, so I appealed stating that the vehicle WAS registered AND the payment method was also Valid. I got a response to say that the appeal was unsuccessful as there was NO payment method in place. I have checked several times on our account and the payment method is totally clear. There was my credit card AND all details up to date visible on my account!
I am so angry at this but I have little energy left to take this any further, especially as they threaten a further £40 on top of the existing £60 that must be payed if a further , higher appeal is unsuccessful. Also: this is NOT my car.it is my friends vehicle and I can't allow him to receive any threats about this as I was responsible for his car being registered and he did me a favor by dropping us off. I am so angry at NCP. Please, please do not use any service provided by these people as they are only interested in making as much money as possible. They do not give any appeal proper attention. They were wrong here and I have no fight left to get justice. Go on NCP you keep going like this and I hope to God you get what you deserve in the end. Criminals!!

larry from customer service was great on helping me with my query. very professional and well spoken.

Tried to log in to pay for drop off charges and was set round in circles. Registered, or so I thought but not. Contacted Customer Care for help but now passed the 24hr time so they say that cant help. Now in contact with Gatwick to register a complaint. Feels like entrapment. IT failures being charged as PCN's.

The drop off is poor value and the autopay never works. Would use other airport if I wasn’t close to Gatwick. The support if any issues is also non existent.

What a sham.
Tried to pay for drop off.
Very complicated.
Asks for approximately what time your dropping off but cannot leave a time.
Cannot pay online. Have to register first and give bank details.
So much easier for Heathrow.

They took payment twice !! When i questioned it they said they didn't know how that could happen !! Not the first time from this company I've heard them scamming people

£6 paid for a 2 minute drop off. You robbing bar stewards. It’s your paying customer after all.

London Gatwick Airport you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Representing the Capital City of the UK and you can’t even get it together to have the new scanners ready to scrap the 100ml liquid rule ready for Summer 2024… shame on you… you should be fined and held accountable… we as passengers would be fined or out stuff would be thrown away if we broke the F****n 100ml liquid rule… I’m so done with it.

I have set up auto pay repeatedly and it has always failed. What is wrong with this system? I have been lucky enough to see the e mail resulting from the failure and payed in time. The auto set up does not work. Come on ! Sort it out.

I arrived at drop off was so busy I couldn't pull in to drop off that took 1 minute had to go back around managed to pull in that took 5 mins to drop off my family members got back home went on to website to pay website says your allowed a 10 min drop off for your £6 charge I had to pay 2 lots of charges of £6 each for a total time of 6 mins absolute rip off

Shocking charge for a 1 minute drop off!!!
