Melvin was very helpful when my verification failed. He talked me through the steps needed. The outside of the car was dirty and he said he would inform the owner of this feedback! The verification process is quite excessive but he made the process a lot easier so would definitely recommend him

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We rented a car and the app would not let us check in. We were running late and the app was unresponsive so we were unable to extend the rental. Got charged a $30 "inconvenience fee" even though we tried to extend but were unable to due to app malfunction. We couldn't upload any photos for the same reason but sent a photo of the odometer later as we were charged three times the fuel usage we actually used. They ignored it. We are still waiting for a resolution, money has been charged and customer service is silent despite multiple reminders. Terrible company, terrible service. Get a goget instead.

We parked the car after using driver’s mate in the place we were told to. They now keep sending us parking fines! There are now 3 fines for 3 separate offences, despite all the fines being on dates we weren’t in the country. We have emailed them over and over again to give us details of these fines when we were not even in the Country!!! We are still awaiting a response!!!!!!!! I would not use this company again

The worst experience ever. Made bookings from the host: Terry’s hire, twice! Both bookings were waste of time and effort. First booking North Melbourne, description was pick up key from host, Terry the host didn’t show up, didn’t even bother to response, answer my call or message me. Second booking, same host, Docklands van. Arrived at pick up location, then only he sent throught instruction, told me to download external keyless unlock app on the spot, under the rain! Tried multiple times, he told me the battery was flat, can’t access the van. Come on man! Is this how you operate your business? Leave your van there for years and still advertise it on the platform? What if other guest drove half way then it broke down? So irresponsible!

Terry then re direct me to another car in city. I have to drive all the way to city to pick up the van. No clear instruction given on how to pick up the van, therefore I ended up have to pay the parking fine in the parking center. He is the one who told me I can use his access card to tap in & out of the parking center, now I have to pay $100 fine for his irresponsibility. The main point is how can drivemate didn’t even bother to have a routine check on these kind of irresponsible host? And charge me $100 beforehand, without investigating the case. 2 out of 2 bookings with you guys was unsuccessful! Is this a joke? A platform to waste money and time?

Although I was disappointed that the car wasn’t in the pick up location that stated on the app and I had to cancel Melvin rectified the problem very quickly and I was very grateful

Scam company. You can have a service on there. But if you have any issues. Expect huge administration fees. I had a few issues unfortunately and it cost me big time. Their customer service is non existent they just ignore you for weeks at at a time. The company makes it out as if it’s stress free and nice and streamlined for you to rent a car and you’ll have access to a car instantly. You won’t. You have to wait for a verification process that can take hours. After all the hidden fees and if you have any issues like I did your screwed. Use a proper rental car company. Not this negligent money grabbing blood sucking parasitic company.
