What we thought was a blocked drain was identified by Harry and his colleague to be a much larger problem. He and his colleague were professional, knowledgeable and really helped resolve the problem. Ricardo is always so professional and really appreciate his quick responses to my queries. Would most definitely recommend and would not hesitate to use them again.

So pleased with this service from calling around 10am to work being completed by 9pm. On the same day. Kyle was really good went above and beyond to sort out this mess. Thank you

Sadly a very poor experience over the weekend, despite the very good reviews.

I first called at 1pm on Saturday to explain my situation (no functioning toilet, sewage spilled out into back garden). I was told someone would call me back as soon as possible. I hadn't heard anything by 4:45pm, so called again. They apologised, said they'd put it through as urgent. Again, I had heard nothing by 5:45pm, so after speaking to them again, asked to be put on the list for first thing on Sunday morning, as by the time they got there that evening (if they ever did) it would realistically be too late to start digging things up anyway. I had heard nothing by 9am on Sunday morning so phoned again to make sure I was on the list, they again told me it would be put through as urgent. I heard nothing back at all on Sunday, and was still left without a functioning toilet, with sewage in my back garden.

The first I heard from them was Monday morning, where I received two phone calls, the second of which was a follow up from the director from the relevant office. She was extremely apologetic for my experience and is looking into how this happened, and seems to be dealing with it in the way I would now hope. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that I was left with no toilet facilities at all at home from Saturday morning until Monday afternoon (when another company turned up exactly on time and cleared the blockage promptly). If I didn't have family who lived within very short walking distance, I wouldn't have been able to stay at my home at all over the weekend.

If I had known at the outset that no one from Drain Doctor would come out over the weekend, I would have tried another company early on Saturday, but by the time I had given up on Drain Doctor arriving it was the Sunday afternoon, at which point it felt pointless trying to get anyone out that day, and that I'd be better trying another company on Monday.

Extremely disappointing service, for such a highly rated company, and not at all what I expected from a company claiming to offer 24/7 emergency support.

Adrian was a star. Really patient and professional. Not an easy job with an old house but he really stuck with it to get it sorted. Would recommend Adrain and the company to anyone

Excellent service. Paul and Reece were very professional as well as friendly. They gave me a price for jetting the drain to clear the blockage but then realise it had cleared easily without needing jetting . They waiting several minutes with water running from a hose pipe and tap to make sure they hadn’t just pushed the blockage further along and then advised me that as far as they were concerned the problem was solved and because it wasn’t as big a job as they expected they were able to reduce the price .
Very happy and would highly recommend.

If I could give zero star I would!

I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

They attended to investigate a blocked toilet issue and concluded there was a blockage further downstream based purely on assumption (standing water in the manhole). No actual blockage was identified or cleared during their visit.

I then had United Utilities and an independent drainage company inspect the system with cameras. Both confirmed there was no downstream blockage. The real issue was a blockage in the toilet soil pipe within the property boundary, which was quickly identified and resolved by another contractor.

So in simple terms:
They diagnosed the wrong problem, they failed to locate or fix the actual issue, their conclusion was proven incorrect by multiple sources. Despite this, they continue to stand by their original assumption rather than acknowledge the error.

I appreciate that drainage issues can be complex, but presenting an unconfirmed assumption as fact led to unnecessary delay and additional cost.

Based on this experience, I would advise others to seek a second opinion before proceeding with any further work.

They will respond to this asking me to send them an email, which I had before this review but got sarcastic emails which summarise to “it’s your problem now”

Highly recommend! From first call it took under 3 hours for Jake to be with me. Gave me a clear price which I accepted and he completely cleared out my blocked outside drain. It's like new. Great team from start to finish. Jake was really friendly and very informative. Many thanks.

Fantastic service! We needed a new drain cover and Marcus was brilliant. He arrived next day, on time, friendly and helpful and did a really good job, neatly cemented in, clean and tidy. I’ll be using Drain Doctor every time from now on!

Within 2 hours of my initial call an engineer was on his way to unblock my kitchen sink waste, the engineer phoned us directly and informed us of his time of arrival.
