My first telescope purchase

This was my first telescope purchase and my first experience of David Hinds. The delivery was amazingly prompt (midday, the following day) and although I experienced some technical problems in first use of the telescope, the technical support I had (from Lee Sproats) was outstanding. Thanks to his detailed assistance things are now fine. I would certainly recommend David Hinds to any prospective purchaser.

Purchased telescope from FLO but came from David Hinds!

Purchased a telescope from FLO (First Light Optics. - Devon UK) which then came from David Hinds Ltd via DHL. So buying local was not local! All OK but poor communication, email only and pricing seems generally the same from 90% of outlets so guess they are mostly the same company!
Thanks for clarification following this review.

Your telescope was delivered to you by ourselves, acting as distributor, on behalf of your retailer.

Good service

Good service. Very helpful but it took a while for them to explain that they could not sell to me direct but only through a retailer. Probably as much my fault in understanding as theirs in explaining! Would certainly use them again for information.

Even in these tough times we are going through now, the service was fantastic from David Hinds Ltd, the parts I ordered were delivered very quickly. I highly recommend David Hinds for your astronomy equipment, thier service is fantastic.

My grandson is 5 and fascinated by the planets and stars. When he saw the surface of the moon he was so excited. He loves his telescope and wants to show everyone what he can see in the night sky.

Value for money telescope and good service.

We purchased the Celestron telescope via the website for our sons birthday. It arrived quickly and was well packed.
The telescope was good value for money and our son was very pleased with it.
No hesitation to recommend David Hinds Ltd. or the product.
