Great customer experience

I’ve been looking for a cata telescope for sometime, couldn’t believe price paid for it. Great customer service, with next day delivery couldn’t have asked for more. I will use this company again, without hesitation.

Highly Recommended.

Fantastic service. I received very comprehensive yet easy to understand advice about which telescope lens/eye-pieces would suit my kit. I decided to order and received the goods within 2 days. Very good especially during the current circumstances. Highly Recommended.

The telescope and the Star Sense Auto…

The telescope and the Star Sense Auto Align kit arrived safely and on time. The problems I had with both devices were dealt with quickly and effectively, and now everything seems to be working satisfactorily. It's the wrong time of the year to test everything properly, but so far it is all looking good. I have every confidence that if I get any further problems, they will be dealt with equally well. Thanks for all your help.'

You should have asked me whether I am…

You should have asked me whether I am interested in astronomy instead of redirecting me to celestron global uk! I am NO brainy birdwatcher! I was interested in binoculars for astronomy use, You are not selling very well! I shall look elsewhere! Thank you!

Dear Chris/ Andy,

Thanks for your review but we feel the comments and one star is a little unjustified. You had asked specifically what superseded the Celestron Granite series and at no point asked about Astronomy and we can only answer the question submitted to us. If you had indicated that you were looking for Astronomy related binoculars or alternatives, then our answer would have been different and we would of course have provide further advice. You can see from our other reviews the level of detail we can go into when engaged in discussion.

Despite not being able to help you ourselves, we provided a response within 30 minutes of receiving your question and answered it with a helpful contact and phone number of the company who could answer your query fully.

We directed you to Celestron Global UK for two reasons:

1). They are the manufacturer and would know what supersedes their Granite series.

2). We no longer stock Birdwatching binoculars, which is typically what the Granite series were used for.

We do stock Celestron SkyMaster, but these are suited for Astronomy, and you did not indicate you had any interest in Astronomy.

To add context to the review here is the original question and the answer we provided:

You asked - “Few years ago, I remember Celestron Granite but I can't find it here? What supersedes "Granite" series, please, thanks.”

We answered - “I do not believe there is a model that succeeds the Granite range. However if you contact Celestron Global UK - who now deal with birdwatching binoculars and spotting scopes - they should be able to help. Excellent service and communication…

Excellent service and communication during the Covid lockdown. I needed a Nextstar+ controller and Dr Lee Sproats (Technical Sales and Support Consultant) came up trumps.I received one in quick time and at areasonable price.

absolutely impeccable service

An absolutely impeccable service both from from orla (customer service) and lee (technical), I wish all business would run this way, I bought from a different supplier, who was not responding to me with an issue I had, orla stepped in took over the problem and dealt with the problem instantly. then I had lee taking me through set up procedure for my goto telescope. top after care service and very knowledgeable team, who I very happily recommend them to everyone. you can buy with complete satisfaction. why go anywhere else when you have a service like this !

Friendly and efficient service, excellent price.

Rang up the company as was having trouble purchasing through eBay who were dragging their feet to help me. Orla was excellent. Sorted out my purchase there and then, very down to earth, happy to give a history of their company, and are one of the main suppliers of telescopes in the country. She's very enthusiastic about her work and is happy to help. On top of that, I found their product was priced substantially lower than other companies I'd looked into, and free next day delivery on top of the low price, even with Covid 19 effecting deliveries. If you look at their website they have a lot of stock and have been selling for years, so they would be able to advise about their products if needed. Good customer service should be standard, but sadly it's not. I had a very positive experience with this company. Thanks
