Recently had a written report from Andrzej Szczepaniak (Property Manager) at Dexter's on the condition of my property which has been rented out for some time. - very happy with their proactive approach to monitoring the state of the flat. Good for me and good for the tenants.

Totally professional estate agents from initial viewing right up until move in. There were a few teething issues as you would expect and these were dealt with promptly and efficiently. Particular mention to Karl Reynolds who has been a delight to deal with on all accounts so far. Highly reccomend!
Awful awful awful
The worst of a bad bunch.
They valued our flat and pushed us to list at the higher end, confidently talking up demand. We trusted their advice. The flat went live… and for two weeks, nothing. Not a single viewing.
After just two weeks of zero traction, they came back and told us to drop the price by £50k. What was most frustrating was how it was framed, as if the pricing decision sat with us, when we had followed their original guidance. They then pointed to things like “only having one bathroom” as the issue, despite knowing that from day one.
So in reality, they set the strategy, it didn’t work, and then the responsibility to fix it was pushed back onto us.
Communication was poor throughout. You hear nothing unless you chase, and when you do, you’re met with defensiveness rather than solutions.
Ally Mirhamesh and Morgan from Chiswick branch were involved at different stages, but there was no ownership or continuity. After signing, we were left chasing basic updates, including when the property would even go live.
Despite all the promises, we got zero viewings in 6weeks, no meaningful updates, no reports, and no effort to improve the listing. We were even told the photos they commissioned weren’t good enough, but nothing was done about it.
In the end, it was clear the pricing and overall approach had been completely misjudged, and we exited the contract early.
If you’re selling, I’d stay well away - go with a local agent and don’t give your money to an agent who sells you a dream of ‘a big database’. Strong sales pitch upfront, very little behind it.

Karl was very personable and helpful, appeared to be very well informed and confident in the subject. He clarified the situation with us and gave us a lot of confidence. We were very grateful for his imput. It was a pleasure to speak with him.

Being harassed and spammed on a daily basis
Looked at 2 properties advertised by Dexters. All of a sudden, I am receiving phone call after phone call, email after email from every single Dexters branch, being spammed about every single property they have for rent, regardless of my requirements. I have emailed each branch and complained, they ignored me completely and continued to spam me. I blocked all their phone numbers and they continued to call me on mobile phones. I have sent complaint letters and told them next time I receive another email I will contact the police for harassment and I'm still getting emails this morning.
Proactivity is key
Dexters are letting my property in East Dulwich and Leighton has been very active in helping me deal with issues in the property ,always active and continually updating the tenants with information. Communication is key .

I have recently been in the process of purchasing a property and initially had a very smooth experience placing my offer. However, after being handed over to a different agent, things became more challenging
There seemed to be very little handover between agents, which meant I had to resend and re-explain outstanding items. Communication feels quite rushed at times, and I don’t feel fully supported or guided. A more proactive approach and clearer follow-up would make a big difference
I appreciate that the process can be busy and complex, but better continuity and communication and a more proactive agent would really help improve the customer experience

Frequently frustrating 'service'.
Every experience I've had with a number of their lettings offices has been a nightmare - exasperating, irritating and stressful. I've had cause to complain to head office three times.

Moving In
Moving In.
Moving is stressful enough.
And after initial inspection of the flat we found the dishwasher to be broken.
Hettie sent us an email during the first week as being a point of contact for housing maintenance, this made it easier to know who to address our concerns to.
We sent her a detailed email with some of the more urgent queries.
She responded promptly.
We also called Dexter's and we looked for Hettie, and we were on the phone with her. Sometimes speaking to a human is reassuring.
Lodged our request Monday afternoon. We get an email saying an engineer is coming Wednesday morning to assess.
