Southsea Deckchairs was founded by Stephen Davies, a deckchair attendant working on Southsea beach during the 1980s and this is where Stephen’s love of deckchairs began. The Southsea Deckchair workshop was established in 1991, and the first batch was ready in the same year. The Southsea deckchair was developed from life-cycle testing and continuous improvement over the next 15 years with the three essential ingredients capable of withstanding a seaside environment: quality, strength and durability.

Extremely helpful

The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful and provided lots of advice on what material would work best for our logo. Quick and efficient responses to emails and prompt delivery. Great product. I am very glad we used Southsea Deckchairs. A premium product.

Excellent Quality

We needed two deckchair covers for the deck chairs that we have had for a while from this comp. Those chairs are brilliant, the new covers are of excellent quality and arrived extremely promptly.

First class deck chairs

Great deckchairs - strong and stylish, beautiful wood. Very comfortable and durable - they’ll last for years.
Good customer service - spoke to a REAL person who answered the phone!
May well treat ourselves to two more as no one else is sitting in these! (The real test will be our party animal neighbour who has already broken two of our old ones). Keep you posted!

I ordered a pair of chairs with a custom imprint on a tight timeline prior to leaving the UK. Every challenge was met. The chairs are now in the US with us awaiting the warm weather to arrive here on the east coast. They are a great reminder on our year and a half in England and my wife's favorite tea room in Grantchester
