Fantastic view of the fella ,with good location for Ambleside and surroundings
Very pleased with the apartment, able to use a couple of hours earlier. Prosecco appreciated.No tumble dryer as stated in description ,but clean with all necessary kitchen accessories.

Great place to spend time with family
If you are looking for peace and quiet and love being close to nature, I recommend this cottage.
We have had a wonderful 5 days exploring Lake District.

There is often a hesitancy to rent cottages from smaller, less known companies. The Cumbiran Cottage website was easy to use, there were no issues with the transaction and the information provided to us about the cottage was accurate. We had a lovey holiday in a wonderful cottage. I would gladly consider cottages promoted on their website.

Stunning property
Stunning property, perfectly equipped, welcoming and comfortable. An excellent experience for our family of 10 covering 4 generations from 9 months to 90 years and our beautiful labrador. Surrounded by nature, deer in fields, house martins in eaves yet conveniently located for the Lakes, Cumbria and Northumberland. Peaceful yet fun! Great hot tub and garden.

Great location but ……….
The location of the cottage was fabulous and the provision of a car park permit was very appreciated however the cleanliness of the cottage when we arrived was not so good. Whilst we appreciate older buildings will always have spiders and therefore the odd cobweb, this cottage was absolutely full of cobwebs everywhere with lots of dust which gave the feeling that the building had either not been used for a long while or had not been thoroughly cleaned. In addition, there was no welcome pack - simple things like teabag, coffee, milk would have been appreciated and there was no washing up liquid or other household goods which we have always enjoyed from the many other cottage companies and agents we have used over the many years of having holidays in the UK.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear the cottage was not as clean as you would have liked. We do ask you contact us if there are any problems so we can rectify this, had we been made aware we would have asked our cleaner to go back and address these. It is difficult to keep on top of the cobwebs in stone built cottages, no sooner are they removed and they are back again, especially this time of year when windows are left open. We hope we can welcome you back again in the future.

Lovely location for a week away
Barn Owl cottage was a bit dated furniture wise but very comfortable. The upside down nature of the cottage makes for a warm upstairs, and allowed us to watch the bat show every evening through the living room window. The double beds is large and comfortable, and the room is very dark and quiet at night. The cottage has everything you need for a week away including a dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board. There is also a hair drier in the bedroom. If we had one niggle it would be the garden was is a bit overgrown. The cottage is very close to a number of attractions including a steam railway, winderemere and a few national trust properties. Ulverstone has most of the supermarkets needed.

We will get the garden addressed as quickly as we can, it has been a fantastic year for plants this year, the warm, wet weather has certainly given them a quick growing boost.

Second visit this year and didn't disapoint. Very comfortable clean and well equiped. Everything you need for a great stay with a bonus of the views from the windows.

Kirkstone Cottage
Kirkstone Cottage was a delightful cottage well located in the Lake District. It is well appointed with all the amenities necessary for a short or long stay. I found some of the operating materials in the guidance book a little difficult to understand; however, this did not detract significantly from my stay. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a get away in the Lake District.

Incredible stay in the farmhouse
Incredible stay in the farmhouse! We had the best week, the farmhouse had everything we needed and more - the hot tub and games room were very helpful on the rainy days! Very dog and child friendly, the whole family had the best time - we’re hoping to go back next year!
