Customer communication needs significant improvement
I already had the course completed and they took my money when I accidentally booked a 2nd time.
When I last completed training with them, I felt pressured to write a positive review and was told to write a 5 star review

Extremely disappointing experience.

I became genuinely unwell before my scheduled First Aid and CPR course and did the right thing by calling CPR First Aid 5 days before my schedules class to let them know I was too sick to attend. Rather than offering to reschedule my booking or advising me of any available options, I was simply told that I would lose my course fee.

It was only afterwards that I discovered their published policy refers to transferring or rescheduling bookings under certain circumstances. At no point during my phone call was this option mentioned. Had I been informed, I would have happily transferred my booking to another date instead of losing the full amount I had paid.

I wasn't trying to cancel because I changed my mind,I was genuinely sick and acted responsibly by notifying them in advance rather than attending and potentially exposing others to illness.

I found the customer service to be unsympathetic and unhelpful. A little flexibility and clear communication would have made a huge difference. Unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling that customer care is not a priority.

I would encourage anyone booking with this provider to carefully read the cancellation and rescheduling policies before enrolling and to ensure any discussions about changes to your booking are confirmed in writing.

Absolutely appalling customer service. My class was cancelled by the company 7 days before the scheduled date and I rescheduled to the only other available class at that time which was 1hr drive away. As I had rescheduled using the incorrect method (rebooked the class separately instead of using their rescheduling form, which wasn't working), the company refused to refund me for the class that they cancelled - instead stating that $15 admin fee had to be applied for the refund for a $45 class. Absolutely no understanding or flexibility was shown by the management when I requested the admin fee to be waived. Although I understand that I did not reschedule the class as per their specific framework, the matter of the fact is that THEY cancelled the class, and all I was requesting was the money back that I had paid for this original class.

The below response highlights perfectly the lack of customer service and understanding this company exhibits. A mistake was made on my part following their cancellation of my original class and absolutely no discretion or flexibility was shown to ensure a good outcome. This company is happier losing a customer than refunding for a class that no longer existed because they cancelled it.

Traning was great

Jason was great at explaining and making the session fun but informative. I've been to many annual CPR classes and Jason has been by far my favorite trainer.

Jason was great

Great class as always. Jason Evans was a great teacher with excellent knowledge. He was able to offer a few new insights for CPR, I always find each teacher at CPR First Aid offers something different when teaching the same thing.

Jason was an incredible instructor. I felt confident in what were the most important things to remember and key actions to take. Made each section memorable and provided helpful statistic or anatomical explanation for why things should be done a certain way.

Trained first aid with Jason who was really excellent. Very entertaining and offered an additional level of knowledge which made everything make even more sense. Very positive experience overall!!

CPR First Aid admitted error and offered the following
20 April, 2026
To resolve this matter promptly, we are willing to offer you either:
A free transfer to a new class schedule, or
A refund of the original payment you made ($45)
I didn't trust or believe they ever intended to refund......

Then 10 days later
30 April 2026
"We will not issue a refund because you failed to remove the negative review".

Consumer affairs and ASQA (national regulator for vocational education and training) are looking into this company across multiple complainees

The review remains.
CPR twice confirmed a $35 fee to transfer. It was 2nd phone call back to them to read them back their own T&C's when they confirmed wanting $35 not $25 as their T&C's quoted.
So the review stands. It's noticeable from reviews how many other people have had similar issues. Ive asked for myoney back and they've refused.
Victorian Consumer Affairs have taken this up as a case.
Its also amazing that a first aid training business wont accommodate a client's needs when they are injured!
Booked a first aid course for $45 Called them 2 days before the course to advise I had developed a back issue and thought it best to transfer to the same course a week later. They advised they would only transfer with a $35 transfer fee. even though the course was still 48 hours away! The operator offered to send an email to her manager but of course this was pointless as it would take me into the 48 hour window. I asked to speak to the manager. She refused and hung up! Secondly the terms and conditions clearly state a $25 transfer fee within 48 hours. So they were trying to rip me off another 10 dollars ..or in total 78% of the course cost. Too many others have had similar experience. Stay clear

Session was so good! For a day long session I was engaged the whole time! Jason is a very good educator and I have learnt and retained a lot from today :)
