No communication and slow delivery

I paid for expedited shipping that was supposed to ship in 2-3 business day because I needed this wall paper for a quick turnaround for a client. I heard nothing after a week and tried to cancel the order, but they did not respond. They got back 2 weeks later and told me I could not cancel it because the order was already out for delivery. This company says they communicate well and are very transparent which is false. Do not order if you need an item quickly because you will be waiting 2-3 weeks regardless of any so called "expedited shipping" upgrades.

We completely understand how frustrating delays can be, especially when you're working to a tight deadline for a client. We’d like to clarify that the wallpaper you ordered is printed to order, which is clearly stated in the product description. The expedited shipping option refers to the delivery service used after the wallpaper has been produced, not to the production time itself.

In terms of communication, we did receive your email on the 8th of July and responded within an hour to explain that the wallpaper had already been collected and was in transit, which is why we were unable to cancel the order at that stage.

We’re very sorry that the process didn’t meet your expectations and appreciate your feedback—it helps us identify where we can communicate more clearly and improve the overall experience.

Item never received - beware of hidden fees

Never received this mirror. Am now being told there is a $538 tariff due which was not disclosed during or after the purchase. This item is NOT made in China and was not shipped from China either, so the below response from the business is irrelevant. Seletti is an Italian brand and it shipped out of the UK. Looking for a refund. These are not good business practices.

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear about your frustration regarding the delivery of your mirror.

We’d like to clarify that your order has been on hold at your local DHL depot in the USA for three weeks pending payment of import duties.
At the checkout, we clearly display all applicable duty charges and offer two options: you can either pay the duties upfront, guaranteeing no additional costs on delivery, or choose to handle these fees yourself. In this case, you opted to pay the duties directly to U.S customs.

We’d also like to note that the $538 tariff is the result of U.S. trade legislation affecting goods made in China, introduced recently by the Trump administration.

This specific product falls under those new rules, and again, this information would have been clearly presented at checkout before your purchase was confirmed.

We completely understand that international shipping and duties can be confusing and are more than happy to assist you with contacting DHL if needed. Please be aware that if duties remain unpaid, the shipment may be returned to us.

Fortunately, 99% of our products are not made in China and therefore are not subject to these elevated tariffs. However, as a retailer, navigating these recent changes in U.S. import policy has been extremely challenging, and unfortunately, you are not the only customer who has been affected by these newly introduced fees.

We’d really like to help resolve this for you, so please don’t hesitate to reach out directly.

Update 13th May:

On May 12, the White House announced that the U.S. and China have reached an agreement to reduce the adjusted reciprocal tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), on products sold into the U.S. with Country of Origin (COO) China, Hong Kong, or Macau, and the tariff increase imposed by China on products with Country of Origin (COO) USA. The changes will become effective on May 14, 2025.


WHAT THIS MEANS FOR PRODUCTS SOLD INTO THE U.S. WITH COO CHINA, HONG KONG, OR MACAU:

The reciprocal tariff imposed by the U.S. will be reduced from 125% to 10%. The reduced reciprocal tariff will apply for 90 days.
The original tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration, a total of 20%, are still in place.
This results in a significantly lower total tariff increase of 30% instead of the previous total increase of 145%.

Please note that regardless of where the brand is located or the item is shipped from COO means Country Of Origin, and in the case, the Seletti Mirror is indeed made in China.

Smooth Transaction

I was quite hesitant to place an order for bulky fragile items. Luckily, item was extremely well packaged and shipped and delivered promptly. I’m so pleased with my purchase. Will probably be a returning customer.

No clear time scale for delivery

No clear time scale for delivery. Placed my order on 29th April at 7am, on their website it states that orders placed before 1pm will be dispatched the same day, on the email it says 7 day delivery. However it’s now the 5th May. My item still hasn’t been dispatched and I’ve tried using the chat service on their website, emailing them and calling them to see when my order is likely to be delivered and there has been no answer at all. I’ll let 7 working days pass and then will be raising a dispute with my bank and I’m not convinced I’ll ever receive my wallpaper. Very disappointing when I’m trying to decorate my babies nursery.

We’d like to clarify that the wallpaper you ordered clearly states a delivery lead time of up to 7 business days on the product page, shipping page, checkout page, and in your order confirmation email. As a small, family-run business, we observe national bank holidays in the UK and are closed on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.

Your order was placed early on 29th April, just before the long weekend, and tomorrow will mark only the fourth working day since your purchase.

Rest assured, we’re still well within the stated delivery timeframe, and there is currently no indication of any delay.
All voicemails, emails, and enquiries sent during the break are being responded to as a priority now that we’ve reopened.

Designer runner rug

Received my beautiful new rug very quickly. It was perfectly parcelled. A lovely addition to my home. Courthouse Interiors are a professional company with good customer service in a world of online impersonal companies. 5stars!

Customer service is bad

The order was placed on 20th of January for Seletti Kintsugi Tea Set with expected delivery on January 28th. On January 29th I followed up with the order and there were no reply until January 31. After checking, agent found that the item which was ordered was not available and no one never got back to me about it. They promised that the order will be delivered on the week of 18th of February which is almost 1 month after the expected delivery date. The order was finally delivered on march 4th. The customer service is not reliable, they are giving wrong information and no one is getting back with the update unless you chase them. The product itself is good, but the service which company provided is horrible. I would suggest to choose another place to order items rather than from courthouse.

Since your order was sent via tracked standard international service, which has a transit time of 8–12 business days, this unfortunately contributed to the overall delay.

I’ve looked into this for you, and I can see that the chair you purchased has a lead time of 10 business days, as it’s a colour we don’t typically keep in stock.

This information is displayed on our shipping page and at the checkout and was also included in your order confirmation email. However, we’re sorry if this wasn’t as clear as it could have been.

We’re still within this lead time, and your chair is expected to arrive from Italy this coming week. As soon as it’s here and has been checked over, we’ll send you tracking details so you can follow its journey.
