First time I have been caught out like this
I was endeavouring to book a table at a local restaurant. I thought I was using the restaurant's booking service and was delighted when asked to submit my card details, as I thought this meant I had successfully secured a table. I am normally very careful about giving out my card details, but this is a restaurant we use and trust. I was then disappointed to be advised that no tables were available.
Imagine my surprise when I checked my credit card this week and discovered that I had been debited £69 twice, together with a series of £0.25 payments, for a concierge service and magazine that would be of absolutely no interest to me.
You've guessed it — I am now having difficulty obtaining a refund of fees for services that I certainly did not knowingly intend to purchase.
I rang the restaurant and discovered that not only have they never heard of Concimax, but they have no affiliation with any online booking service. In fact, they have no online booking facility at all: tables must be booked directly by telephone.
This leaves me wondering how Concimax could have determined that there were no tables available that evening.
So not only have I racked up fees that I am now disputing, but I may actually have been successful in getting the table I wanted if I had simply rung the restaurant directly. So we missed out on a good night as well!

We got no SMS with the amounts
We got no SMS with the amounts. It just said remainder of something that looks like spam as it does not reference the original booking requested. As this tricks you into booking some restaurant, then it does not book it , and without using it anymore, it charges you for nothing. It does not state the amount on the SMS and it does not state the service level or type, so no way to know from the sent message.
Some important points:
1. Trial period should require user to accept conversion, or service should be ended by default. This happens in many other serious services.
2. Prices should be part of the reminder message, specially if there is one stating the end of the trial. It cannot be that you have to click some link to see the details.
3. Even after cancelling, they are not refunding the second month, when amount is charged at the start of period and subscription cancelled immediately after.
4. There is clearly no usage of the supposed subscription services, apart from the failed first confusing restaurant booking. And user was charged the highest band price.

El pasado 14 de Agosto procedí a realizar una reserva en un restaurante, tiene similitudes como páginas como Fork, etc … autorizas un pago de 0.01 euro, común en algunas reservas de restaurantes para garantizar la reserva … lo que nunca te informa es que te suscribes a sus servicios y que son una cuota mensual de 69 euros, me di cuanta cuando vi el cargo e inmediatamente cancelé suscripción … por cierto la reserva nunca se realizó en el restaurante, es simplemente una pantalla para robarte dinero !!!! Mucha atención

El importe inicial de 0,01 € forma parte del proceso de registro y de la oferta presentada durante la inscripción. Las condiciones de la suscripción, incluyendo el precio, la renovación y las condiciones de cancelación, se presentan durante este proceso y requieren una confirmación antes de finalizar el registro.
Entendemos, sin embargo, que usted esperaba únicamente realizar una reserva y lamentamos que la información sobre el funcionamiento del servicio y la suscripción no haya sido lo suficientemente clara para usted.

El lunes 17 de agosto del 2026 intenté hacer una reserva a través de esta plataforma, que no conseguí, pero me cobraron 0,10 €.
Cual es mi sorpresa que hoy viernes a primera hora de la mañana veo un cargo de 69€ por suscripción a la plataforma que en ningún momento fui consciente de haberla solicitado.
Me he dado de baja en ese mismo momento. Pero a mí no me llegó ningún mensaje anterior que me confirmará la suscripción. ESTO ES UNA ESTAFA

Respecto a su caso concreto, entendemos que indica que no recibió ningún mensaje confirmando la suscripción y que procedió a cancelarla inmediatamente al detectar el cargo.
