Efter at havde lejet et kælderlokale af city apartment i 3,5 år, bliver jeg nu nød til at opsige det.
Det gør jeg fordi city apartment ikke længere kan garantere at de vil fjerne vand når kælderlokalet er oversvømmet efter regn.

Det er sket et utal af gange at lokalet har været oversvømmet, men city apartment mener ikke at de fortsat kan fjerne vand til den “beskedne leje” af et meget fugtigt kælderlokale uden adgang til toilet eller vand.

Øv for manglende forståelse og en indstilling til at behandle lejere så dårligt

En virksomhed som yder den bedste service og som har deres menneskelighed ind over.
Respektfulde og nemme at kommunikere med.
Står man i en situation hvor man har brug for dem, så klare de opgaven lynhurtig .
Jeg er taknemlig for deres ydelse og ikke mindst for den smukke bolig jeg har lejet mig ind i.

The apartment is quiet spacious and at a reasonable price. I moved into a furnished apartment and I am happy that I made this choice.
the service people and the team is quiet fast in responding to your mail or phone call.
Over all it was a very smooth move in process.

We lived in a cozy apartment in Østerbro for a little over a year. Whenever we needed assistance, City Apartment was always there with a quick response.
Moving out was smooth and straightforward, with no issues about our deposit.
They were really professional throughout.
They've earned a 5-star review from us, and we'd definitely recommend City Apartments to others.

We've been in our cityapartment in Valby for almost three years and have had such a great experience. Any concerns about machines that need fixing or plumbing is answered almost immediately and handled by cityapartment. Very fast communications, simple agreement and the apartment has everything we need in it. Great furniture and good maintenance.

To anyone who might consider renting from City Apartments.
Don't.
They do not care about either service nor you as a tenant.
You are nothing but cash in their pocket.
They have no moral value, no second thought about getting rid of you if it means they can earn more.
There is nothing positiv about them.
They literally locked a 90 year old inside her apartment just to get rid of her, by locking the elevator.

Det er jo en katastrofe den måde City Apartment driver deres udlejning på. Vi så i går hvordan man i et halvt år har lukket ned for elevatorer som de som udlejer selv skal sikre følger regler og lovgivning - men hvor de sikkert håber på at gamle lejere flytter ud så de kan hæve huslejerne - det er så ulækkert og spekulativt så man må tage stærkt afstand fra den virksomhed og deres metoder! FØJ!

Usselt firma, der forsøger at presse lejere ud.

Svindel firma der lukker for elvatorer til ældre sådan de kan presse de ældre ud.

It is true they do offer many apartments in very central locations. It is true that SOME, but not all of these apartments, have been upgraded recently and are even furnished (rent is expensive though). It is true that if there is a problem in your property..say the washing machine or the toilet break down...they will send someone to help you out. IF you happen to rent a recently upgraded and furnished property with them, and you can afford it, you might actually not have a bad experience. This is because you will not have to interact much with them.

This company targets foreigners coming to Copenhagen. Since most locals do NOT want to rent an apartment to a foreigner, the company has a very easy job. There is not enough housing in Copenhagen for anyone to begin with, so this company has cornered the market for foreigners. This means they have to put very little effort into competing and being service oriented and doing things in a nice way for their customer...so anyone can really just "run" this company and collect the money from the foreigners.

The problems start when you rent something which is not so easy to deal with...say an older property, a property which is not furnished. If you learn about Danish rental rules, you might discover that you have a chance to try to reduce your rent. According to TV2 news, Cityapartment is by far the landlord with the most cases of this nature being filed in the system. They have had other scandals dating back the 90s and the news articles have lots of juicy details. In any case, if you want to check your case, please use LLO to handle it. They are by far the most experienced and reliable in this process. Also, get indboforsikring before you start the case. Sometimes Cityapartment likes to sue the tenants if they try to reduce their rent, even after the Danish Rental Board has sanctioned that the rent must be reduced. Danish rules strangely allow for this (?!?!) and the nature of the process forces the tenant to prove the claim is true despite having already "won" the case in the Danish rental board. Nonsense I tell you, but it is what it is. Having indboforsikring may give you a fighting chance if things unfold in that way because it covers legal fees (they normally say it is only good to cover the theft/loss of your bike but who would have guessed!). I left a review for DIGURA about this process here in trustpilot, worth some reading I think.

My personal experience with Cityapartment was bad. Apparently, the property where I was living was not too interesting or important for the company. It was also an old wooden building from the 1700s and it was not furnished. Many legit tenants left the property and it seems like the company allowed people who were friends with some of the owners to live in the property. At least that is what these people claimed. These "friends" were not nice neighbors and did not respect any rules, so those of us paying legit rent the normal way had no way of getting them to be good neighbors because the company would NOT do anything about them. Emails were sent with complaints, videos were recorded, images were taken, police was called... but as usual, the company never replies to emails. This experience does NOT feel like quality service, especially since foreigners usually are accostumed to a higher standard of customer service. Danish standards for customer service are not too high, in general. Now imagine how low those standards are in this business if no effort is needed to make money.

Things got so bad that sometimes, when these "friends" of the owners had loud parties, a young guy who claimed to be the "owner" of Cityapartment would show up to join them. I believe it is the same person mentioned in other reviews here in Trustpilot. In any case, his behavior was not what one would expect from any serious owner..if he really is the owner in any case. He would get drunk and insult the tenants, and overall just engage in embarrassing behaviors. All of this was communicated to the company but no reply was received and nothing really changed.

Sometimes I sit and ponder and I think all of this might have been done on purpose because I was also trying to get my rent reduced, you never know right? Like a way to be mean about it. But whatever, who knows. I think it is more likely it was just irresponsible human behavior from people who are focused on the wrong things. In the end, still not quality service.

I believe the company is too comfortable and neglects its customers. In some cases it is not too bad because the property is good enough to make up for it. I hope these details help.

AVOID!!! Scammers

They intentionally rent to expats, because expats usually do not know the Danish housing regulation.

If you are a tenant, contact the Housing Authorities (Huslejenævnet on Borger-website) and take a case against them!

Chances are VERY high that you are paying WAY, WAY too much and will get rent reduction as well as money back retrospectively. It is very easy, just do it!
Avoid this company by all means!

Owner is also a former criminal!

I am very impressed with my new apartment. It is very beautiful and exactly what I expected it to be. Moreover, the furnishings is on point too for the kitchen and room! and mette was very helpful responsive and flexible i am really happy and content that i chose this apartment.

Just moved in, and the viewing, handover and maintenance after moving in has been fantastically smooth.
The apartment is also really beautiful, homely and comfortable. My location is great, with a bus stop, gym, burger place, and two supermarkets right outside the door step, literally.

Undoubtedly one of the worst housing rental companies I have come across. Although it can be tough to find a rental in Copenhagen, I would recommend to stay away from this company. My experience with them was not a good one.
