Both your staff were great Peter explained the process and that his mate would take a few minuets checking over the car to see it matched my description. Once done, the paper work explained, and that was that. Money in my account and the car was gone. Many thanks for a quick and pleasant sale.

Friendly staff, worth the journey to them

I bought a car without seeing and trusted that the information I was given was honestly done. The service was professional. I had some trepidation paying for the car to be delivered to Southampton but the car arrived on time with all of the paperwork. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chequers.

Stumbled across this location whilst coming away disappointed from viewing another dealer's 2 cars from our "hit list".

We were looking for an automatic SUV, and Gavin caught us peeking into his roadside stock.

He then pointed us to a newly acquired vehicle out the back... in a yard which is deceptively hidden away.... with more stock than is first apparent.

He gave us his honest opinions and advice. Let us take the car out on a run. In short, it was a refreshing change from recent experiences, and I would later find-out, matched the marketing on the website in terms of mission statement. A rarity.

Terms were reached. Gavin kept to his word on all fronts, and money was exchanged.

A pleasant experience all-in-all, relaxed but professional. No pressure, and what I believe was honest, genuine customer service.

We will be back for the next oil change and MOT, but in the meantime I hope - respectfully - to not have to speak to Gavin in the interim!

I've had my Audi A1 for just over a week and I'm super happy it! In the past we have used main dealers for car purchases but the experience at Chequers Cars is the best we have ever had. James gave us the time and space we needed to look over the car; no pressure selling at all. Organising the test drive was very relaxed. James was then happy to answer our questions and left us to make our own mind up. He even stayed past their usual closing time as we had not been able to get to Chequers until the evening. After closing the sale, we agreed when we would pick the car up and the following week the car was ready. The agreed work had been done and the car was fully cleaned and prepped for driving away in. The buyer's gift box was a nice touch. Gavin dealt with organising road tax and handover of the final paperwork. Again, this was done in a friendly and professional manner. Overall, this was a refreshing car buying experience and I would highly recommend the team at Chequers. I will happily use them again when we need to change our main car.

Just had my new Mercedes A class delivered from Chequers a day early than expected as I wanted the car ASAP. Chequers made the whole experience so easy and took care of everything for me. Found Chequers Cars to be a really nice, polite and helpful garage. We had been all over the place looking for the right car and not one gave us the confidence to buy, too much hard sell. None of that with Chequers, sent out to test drive it, left alone when we returned to discuss it at our leisure. Great car and professional team to deal with.

Visited on a late Saturday afternoon, and although I wasn’t looking for a Fiat, I spotted a Fiat 500 X that caught my eye!

Gavin allowed us to take it for a test drive on that day, he answered all questions with expertise and great knowledge.

I went back on Monday, Gavin again allowed us to take it for a longer test drive, came back, Gavin spent more time answering more questions I had on the vehicle, I put a deposit down, part exchanged my old Golf and I walked away very happy.

Picked up the car, it had been serviced, run through an MOT, two new tyres and cleaned beautifully. Drove away feeling very happy, not only with the car, but knowing I got a great deal during their sale period and the service was superb.

Gavin is a credit to Chequers, after having some bad experiences in the past with used car dealerships, they were an absolute breath fresh of air. I’ve already recommended them to a colleague and will be going back in a few years to pick out my next car.

The goodie box is wonderful gesture, the whole experience was stress free, respectful and nothing is too much for them.

One week later, the car drives like a dream, in perfect condition and I love it, she’s a beauty!
