I ordered a purse from them. It took forever to receive the order so their response to me was because it was on sale the California "store" sold out and they contacted their "parent" company (in China) to fulfill my order. When the purse finally arrived, it was junk. Very cheap material and I had to pry the clasps open with pliers to attach them to the purse. These companies should be banned from Facebook.
The clothes are VERY cheaply made and are horrible materials very thin not a shirt anyone would want to wear. Tried to return them and it was impossible so I gave up and they kept my $80 and I donated the shirts. Do not spend a dime with this company!!!
Total scam
First of all there is no store in California … its shipped directly from China … any item mark down 50% or more is a final Sale … no return … no fine print in a lie … their is fine print and it’s to insure you can’t return the product …
The shirt that I oredered is not even close to the shirt I received from this company. It is the wrong color and the wrong material. They advertize it as denim when in fact it is a cheap polyseter. Charlottejulian states hassel free returns when in fact upon attempting to return it, they notify you that the item purchased is not returnable. If I had read the prior reviews about this company, which I should have, I would have realized that they are a complete scam and would not have ordered this anything from them.
Beware, Charlotte & Julian is a total scam. I bought their "denim" shirt". It is not denim, rather it is a 50/50 blend of polyester. They claim a "no hassle" return policy, well I received an email from them saying "Thank you for your message. We’re sorry to hear that the product did not meet your expectations.
As per our Exchange & Return Policy, the item is not eligible for return or exchange. As the item was purchased during our sale, any issue with the product needed to be reported with clear photo or video evidence within 24 hours of delivery. Unfortunately, the required evidence was not provided within that timeframe, so we are unable to approve the claim under our policy." Also it was shipped from China and took nearly a month arrive.
The shirt I bought from this company was both the wrong size and the wrong material. I had ordered a Small size and the shirt was described as "denim." They sent me a Medium and the material was some slick silky like fabric, certainly not denim. They simply refuse to accept a return.
They refused saying that they had a policy of only accepting returning items for which they received a photo showing the item within 24 hours of arrival. This would not certainly not hold up in court. Furthermore there was no bill or anything whatsoever in the package to identify the sender so obviously there was no way to even know about their "policy." Nor was their name on the parcel. Curiously they did not send emails regarding delivery, rather a separate delivery company sent the emails about delivery. When I contacted the return address they denied being the actual supplier, nor would they identify the company that sent the item. So I ended up having to go back over emails. When I did I got this malarky about a 24 hour limit.
The worst internet purchase experience I have ever had.
