Excellent Product

I’m really pleased with my purchase from CatTree UK. The cat tree arrived quickly, was well packaged, and the quality is excellent for the price. It was easy to assemble and feels sturdy, which is important as my cat is very active.

My cat took to it straight away and clearly loves having multiple levels to climb and relax on. It looks good in the room too, which is a bonus. Overall, a great buying experience with good communication and a product that does exactly what it should. I would happily recommend CatTree UK to other cat owners.

A review of two halves…..

A review of two halves…..

First half - Excellent

My initial experience with Cat Tree UK was excellent and cannot fault the communication or the quality of the assembled outdoor cat trees that were received, plus the cats love them. Total cost £490

Based on this experience, I further ordered another two outdoor cat trees, one assembled and the other self-assembly – Total cost £204

Whilst waiting for the delivery of the second order, I then ordered an inside cat tree cost £131 – There was a delay on despatch with this item as it needed to be shipped to the UK. Not a problem.

Second half – A different story

The two outdoor cat trees arrived and the assembled one was great but there were issues with the self-assembly one. I contacted Cat Tree UK to advise there was an issue, and was taken aback by the lack of customer care and the patronising emails received.

As a gesture of goodwill I was offered a replacement base & pole, which I refused and requested a partial refund. Am yet to receive a reply to this email.

Due to the tone of the emails, I decided that I didn’t want to deal with a company that has a lack of respect for customers and therefore cancelled the order of the indoor cat tree. This process was easy as my order hadn’t been despatched…… and refund has been received.

Moral of this story…. If the customer care and tone of the emails had been friendlier, I would have accepted the replacement items and not cancelled my order!!

We’re sorry to hear that the second part of your experience did not meet expectations. Our intention is always to be helpful and respectful, and we regret if the tone of our emails came across otherwise.

As discussed via email, the issue with the self-assembly outdoor cat tree arose due to incorrect assembly. After the base post was subsequently lifted from the base plate, this caused the fixings to pull out of the base plate. While this type of damage falls outside of a manufacturing fault, we nevertheless offered replacement parts free of charge as a goodwill gesture.

We respect your decision to decline the replacement parts and to cancel the indoor cat tree order, and we’re glad that the cancellation and refund process was handled smoothly.

As the issues experienced were not the result of a manufacturing defect, but rather incorrect installation and subsequent handling, we regret that we are unable to offer a partial refund in this instance.

We take feedback on communication seriously and will use this to improve how we handle similar situations in future. Thank you again for your custom, and we wish you and your cats all the best. James

Great cat trees here!

We bought a great quality cat tree from here! It’s very big (we ordered the Maine Coon one) and our British short hair cats treat it like a palace! Easy to assemble too. Customer service was also brilliant and friendly as we were accidentally shipped the wrong part but they were really fast at responding and got the new part sent to us really quickly. Would definitely buy from here again!

Quality Product

Quality product. The online photo did not do the outdoor cat house justice.

I would not hesitate to invest in any of their equipment.
I have found this house sturdy and well built and an eye to quality.
Should last for years

Third order from this company

Third order from this company. Products are consistently great quality and I'd consider good value for money (I always buy in the sale though).
Delivery was quicker this time too, only a few days from order.
Will definitely buy from here again.

Excellent customer service and BIG cat trees!

Excellent customer service, when the cat tree I ordered was out of stock they sent me a larger one that contained the same components, so I could still build the tower I wanted, at no extra charge. They emailed me immediately and were always very quick to respond and address my queries. The cat tree itself is excellent, very sturdy with soft cushions, it's stylish, and actually big enough for my Siberian cat to be able to lounge comfortably on it. Can't recommend them enough!

Not the best experience

Ordered on the 30th October for my cat’s birthday present. The website states that 98% of orders are delivered within 3-5 working days and if this isn’t achieved then they would send some cat toys with the order. My order took 10 working days to dispatch (I ordered at around 7am) and I never actually received a dispatch email. My emails were replied to quickly which was positive but for several days in a row I was told I would be sent a tracking number but wasn’t. I never actually received an apology for the delay or any of the promised cat toys so don’t read that on their website and expect it as you’ll be disappointed. One of the scratch pads also arrived dented sadly…hasn’t stopped my cats enjoying it but for £180 I would have hoped for an undamaged item.

We are in the process of changing our entire logistics as previously they were sent from our warehouse in Germany to customers but customers were receiving duty payment requests therefore, we now transfer stock to our Northern Ireland warehouse to avoid this problem and unfortunately there have been some teething issues which have caused some delays and incorrect orders currently. We will definitely send you some cat toys and feel free to send us a photo of any damage and we can assist with a solution. My cat and I give 5 stars all round

I would 100% recommend this company and the items and service they provide. I bought a cat tube/pillar type tree for my cat. She absolutely loves it. She can play on the levels in the tree and sit or sleep very comfortably on the top. It is sturdy and a good size for her. Great quality and exactly as described. Just what I was looking for. The tree came to me quickly and well packaged.
My lovely cat and I are very happy customers. Thankyou

Excellent customer service and very…

Excellent customer service and very quick delivery. The quality of the cat hanging bag was stunning, thick and it was just beautiful I loved it 😻 my cat sadly didn't use it but that's nothing to do with the cat bag itself she is just an outdoor cat, but it was donated to a cat rescue and the new kittens absolutely love it and make use of it all day everyday so I'm very happy 😊

Don't trust these guys. Scam

Waited months for a cat tree called a Maine Coon Lounger. The top bed is far too small for a large breed. They show a picture of a long haired cat sitting on it but no way is this a fully grown MC.
When I brought this to their attention I was told, despite sending photos with tape measure of my cat that zi was basically wrong. Offered return but at my expense for a box weighing 48kg.
I have had nothing but insults. I was told cats only sleep curled up! That the 17"x14" bed is big enough ( the cat disagrees).
Absolutely no customer service and btw. These cat trees are made in China, not UK as I thought they would be seeing as how the company blares out their uk status.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE GUYS

We’re disappointed to read this review, as it is entirely inaccurate and misrepresents what actually occurred. The customer ordered our Maine Coon Lounger and later requested a free return, claiming the top bed was “too small.” However, the bed dimensions are clearly listed on our product page and match exactly the measurements the customer herself provided. The product received was exactly as described and shown in our photos — including several images of full-grown Maine Coons comfortably using it.

As per our standard returns policy, we offered a return option, but since the product was not defective or misrepresented, the customer would need to cover the return shipping cost. Unfortunately, after we explained this, the conversation became increasingly aggressive and abusive, culminating in racist remarks directed at Chinese people. At that point, we had no choice but to end communication.

For clarity, our company is based in the UK, but like nearly all pet furniture retailers, some components are responsibly manufactured overseas. We take pride in our product quality and transparency, and we stand firmly by both our product and our conduct in this matter.

Avoid this company! Do NOT give them your hard earned money!

I ordered a cat tree in mid-August. It's now mid-September and I still haven't received my item or a refund that I requested. Somehow the items has shipped twice by different couriers and still not managed to get to me... I was given a tracking number and none of the normal couriers see it as a valid tracking number.

James has told me that he'll only refund once the item has been returned to them from the courier company, but I'm reluctant to believe it has even been shipped. Apparently, I rejected the first parcel from Evri (not sure why I would be asking where the parcel is if I had rejected it) was returned to them and somehow they had to wait on their supplier to get the item? No attempt to make things right has happened.

Once you contacted us about the delay, we offered two options: a full refund or a replacement item. You opted for a replacement, which we dispatched promptly. A few days later, you requested to cancel the order. At that point, the parcel was already in transit, and we began the process of halting delivery and arranging a return with the courier.

As explained, refunds are issued once the item is returned to us. This is a standard policy across most retailers (including platforms like Amazon), as it ensures that both parties are protected — especially in cases where goods may still be delivered despite cancellation requests.

Slow and extremely painful to deal with - avoid!!!

I specifically ordered from this website as it states UK, expecting to receive my order within a few days. Didn't hear from them for over a week and chased up. They had contacted me but the email had gone to my spam. Apparently what I had ordered was no longer available. They offered me something similar (in their opinion though it was completely different colour). I agreed to the product swap if they could expedite the order. They placed the order than said due to the fact it was coming from abroad it would take at least 4 days to dispatch (no offer to try to get it to me sooner despite requesting this or not having the stock of what I had ordered and paid for). I had a thought about it overnight and decided not to bother to wait anymore so requested my refund. Apparently this takes 5 to 8 working days for their accounts department to even process (let alone me get the money back in my account!!)

What a complete joke this company is. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. They make Amazon seem like Harrods!

Yes the email went into spam. My review stated this already! The multiple follow-ups were the 2 emails both in spam, (not your fault OR MINE!!!!!!! But must happen all the time - could you not have tried calling?? Or Or is that too much trouble for you????? emails were not sent “immediately” and why show an item in stock and allow people to order pay for it when it isn’t?? Get a grip of your stock situation!! Regarding the offer to give me a superior product at the same price, it was what, 7% more and was a full price item during a sale when most your items were heavily discounted so I don’t even believe it was an “upgrade” though you tried to sell it as a “complimentary upgrade” and was also a completely different colour. I don’t see how it was an “upgrade” on what I ordered originally as when I looked into it further I saw it on Amazon at less than half the price you had it for on your website.
I’ve read your responses to other people who have been honest in their reviews and your arrogance in your replies clearly shows a lack of empathy and basic customer service skills! Also you state 5 days is standard for a refund but you stated 5-8 “working days” which is appalling for an item so expensive that I never received!

I see you have changed several points from your original response (I wish I’d screen shot it for other potential customers to see)
Fact is your item was out for of stock, error is on you for having it shown as available when it it wasn’t! you didn’t tell me “immediately” it was the next working day your 2 emails went into spam, you didn’t try to contact me by phone. You offered me an item as an upgrade which was a different colour and though you classed it as superior and a complimentary upgrade is indeed on Amazon at less than half the price you have it listed for on your website. Which we have already ordered, received and are very happy with - as are our cats. I look forward to your next arrogant condescending response. You’re just making yourself look like a melt “James”

We emailed you within 24 hours of your order being placed to let you know that the item you selected was unfortunately no longer available. Unfortunately, both our messages went to your spam folder, which is outside of our control.

Our website lists over 2,000 products, and some of these are shipped directly from third-party suppliers. It is not physically possible for those suppliers to link their inventory systems to our website in real time, as their stock changes constantly with other retailers. As soon as we became aware your chosen item was out of stock, we contacted you and offered the closest available alternative. You were under no obligation to accept this option and could have chosen a full refund immediately.

The product offered was the nearest match in style and specification to your original order and carried a higher retail value. Your statement that this product is available on Amazon at less than half our listed price is simply incorrect — we have checked and it is not available on Amazon at all. We are the only UK retailer for these products.

Once you decided you no longer wished to wait, we processed your refund request promptly. As with all retailers, the actual transfer of funds is handled by the payment provider, and it typically takes 3–5 working days for the funds to appear back in your account. Our stated 5–8 working day timeframe simply covers any delays caused by banks, weekends, or public holidays.

While we regret that you were unhappy with the experience, our communication, stock management, and refund processes were in line with standard retail practice, and we acted promptly to offer a resolution.
