I bought a Mitsubishi lot 19 L200 Triton while absent from the UK and with the help of Joe I got my vehicle off to the shippers and shipped to Jamaica . I now have my vehicle in Jamaica operating and fully functional

After bidding on a vehicle and being successful, I read some poor reviews which got me panicking that the vehicle was not going to be as described, or I would part with my money and never see the vehicle. I rang up Capital Asset and they couldn't have been more helpful, showed me a walk around of the vehicle on Whatsapp and assured me that bidspotter carefully vets all auctioneers that they are bona fide. I collected the vehicle without any problems and found the vehicle as described. I will certainly buy from them again. You do have to be careful that you read the description and you understand the auctioneers fees which can be quite high and make sure you factor this into the price. I wonder if the one star reviews are from people trying to put other people off bidding in the hope that there is less bidding competition.

From start to finish and after putting a bid on for a vehicle, we decided to read the reviews that were on trust pilot and we were surprised to see very few reviews considering that the company have been going since 2015. We were sceptical about purchasing my dream car, however, after ringing and speaking to one of the partners named Joe, he reassured us that we would be getting our vehicle exactly what was described. We are absolutely over the moon with the service, help and advice that Joe gave us and our car was delivered on time. Joe went out of his way to help us and put our mind at rest. We are really grateful for the service that we received and cannot express enough that we would highly recommend Capital Asset to any friend or family member. I do advise that anyone bidding on any auction site should read all the T&C’s before bidding as there are fees and VAT etc to be paid once a bid is accepted and complete. So, so happy with this company and they are definitely not a scam.

Obviously reading the earlier comments something has gone wrong with the way Capital auctions operate .
Not happy at all with a recent purchase from their auction . I started bidding on a car and reached my final offer , this was still “reserve not met” so left it , an hour later I get notification of reserve met without increasing my bid . The auction ends and I am the winner, I queried why this happened and was duly reminded I have a legal obligation to pay up to a deadline the next day , me being the law abiding citizen I did as told and paid I asked to view the vehicle before arranging delivery , only delivery advised as an issue reported with the parking brake . No inspection could be arranged with the vendor after numerous calls so delivery was arranged . Received the car 7 days later and the vehicle is not roadworthy and bills amounting to around 5k before it will be , turns out the parking brake is the least of my issues . Capital totally washed their hands of the issues and refer you to the small print on the “terms” . Be very careful with these people this is unethical business practice and certainly not customer focused .

Anyone else realise that Capital Assets only respond to thank the positives on here but no effort to refute the negatives . Maybe no defence is available .

At last a response 4weeks later from consumer focused Capital Asset Auctions .
In your points to discredit my complaint you have failed to answer why you would not discuss the real issue of the vehicle not as described by Auctioneer . No effort whatsoever and no accountability for getting this simple part of the process wrong .
As for your comment on reading terms and conditions I know exactly the terms as I have bought from many auction sites before and in my comments I encourage other purchasers to view before bidding on your platform something I have felt was unnecessary in the past as most companies are honest in there assessment of the product . And as for the “Reserve Met “ situation this changed as soon as I stopped bidding against yourselves or the 3rd party owner realised I was not increasing a bid , therefore this should not be legally binding as was described by your office .
Bad experience from start to finish and this is far from over .

these online bids take ur money an have
no intention of giving u the vehicle they
hide all extortionate auction fees and
and hit u with a separate invoice soon
as u dispute the fees and ask to relist
the vehicle witch it says u can do or

refund witch it also says u can do along

Perfect service from start to finish. Saw the advertisment on Facebook and thought to come and have a look. The sign up and bidding was so quick and easy. Once I was notified that my bid had won I got a lovely phone call from their customer service team to finalise everything.
