We called in for breakfast at the Capital Asset in Perth. Olivia was wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. Food, service and staff were wonderful (value for money and smiles all the way).

SCAM avoid beware
Hopefully, you will read this before you pay them a penny.
I’ve been extremely busy and honestly didn’t have time to leave a review for Capital Asset Auctions. But after my experience with them, I feel compelled to warn others.
I only wish I had read the reviews properly before getting involved in the auction. All positive reviews are fake.... check the reviews in Trustpilot as there it looks like you can't buy fake reviews
I didn’t realise that BidSpotter uses sub-agents such as Capital Asset Auctions.
Here’s my experience briefly:
Before placing any bids, I called Capital Asset Auctions directly. A very polite representative assured me that the amount shown — plus 20% VAT and a £895 fee — would be the final amount payable.
I won a watch for £5,300. Including VAT and fees, the total should have been around £7,434, which was fine.
They sent me an invoice matching the amoutn, which I paid immediately.
Then came the surprise.
After paying the first invoice, they sent me a second invoice for an additional £2,544 — exactly like many other reviewers describe.
At that point I realised this appears to be their standard business model: quote one amount upfront, then hit customers with additional “fees” afterwards.
When I called to refuse the second invoice, I was told very rudely that if I cancelled, the cancellation fee would effectively be the amount of the first invoice I had already paid.
I later spoke with William, who introduced himself as one of the directors. His attitude was shockingly rude and aggressive compared to how polite they were before the purchase.
In the end, I paid the additional fees because I wanted the watch.
But the experience got even worst.
The collection address provided was essentially a field in the middle of nowhere, with a container instead of an office. Lee so called manager gave me the watch from the back of a van as i bought it from carbootsale
I genuinely couldn’t believe this was supposed to represent a professional auction company.
Once home, I noticed the logo on the watch box appeared slightly deformed, which exsplained why the watch is selling via action. Concerns raised and I’m now having the watch checked for authenticity because after this entire experience, I simply don’t trust these people.
The whole operation feels designed to lure buyers in through BidSpotter, then pressure them with hidden costs once they’ve already committed financially.
£2,500 may not be the end of the world, but imagine buying a high-value car or luxury item through a company operating like this. they are putting 40% on top of your final bid!!!!!!
Please be extremely careful and do your research before buying anything from Bidspotter.
Avoid Capital Asset Auctions at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Zero stars is a compliment review for this Mickey Mouse bunch of scammers!!!!!!
Thanks
Kamen

This company are scamming people.
Great experience with Capital Auction
Great experience with Capital Auction! The vehicle was exactly as described, the process was smooth and straightforward, and the staff was helpful throughout. The delivery team was fantastic—professional, friendly, and right on time, making the whole experience even better. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy from them again.
Beware of these people
Beware of these people, they run an unscrupulous business. The descriptions of the car are specially compiled so as to mislead, they wrote that DSG is an electric car as a result. The winning bid is 6k, they sent 2 invoices for a total of 12k to cancel the purchase and requested 5000! Be careful not to deal with them. I was at their yard - all cars of dubious quality!
Stay well away from this company
Stay well away from this company, do not buy anything at auction. By the time you get your item it will be almost double what you thought you were paying. They use scare & intimidation tactics to make you pay for items you thought you were paying much less for. Fees are documented somewhere in amongst the small print but it's outrageous how much they are. I was informed that not only had my bid not met the reserve but that I had also been outbid. Lo and behold, the next day I was told that my bid had won, an immediate demand for thousands over the bid price & the threat of additional fees & debts being sold on if you don't immediately pay.
PLEASE READ THIS & HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS BUNCH OF SCAMMERS. DO NOT GET INVOLVED

got a late charge on my account by not understanding that the weekend counts as working days , so spoke to Will this morning and he has kindly managed to sort this matter out ,thankyou Will for your help in this matter
Double hidden fees of the cost of the vehicle
I bought a van through the auction and that was hidden fees double of the bidding my bidding was for £6 300 With hidden fees and VAT cost me £11 600 read the terms and condition before you do bidding on thisauctions not to be victim like I’ve been myself paying double for a vehicle it doesn’t worth even £6000 and the worst thing i have to pay £25 for the logbook to get it as they don’t complete the forms and register registered the logbook to the new keeper
Absolutely shocking communication and…
Absolutely shocking communication and time-wasting experience with Capital Asset Auctions.
I tried to book a viewing for a vehicle and was told by email that I needed to register first. I registered immediately and emailed back — no response. I then called and spoke to a member of staff who said he would get back to me, which never happened. Since then, I’ve repeatedly tried calling and no one answers the phone at all.
Their terms and conditions state that buyers should carry out their own due diligence and that inspections are welcome. However, based on my experience, actually arranging a viewing is practically impossible. This clause feels more like a way to cover themselves when customers later complain about vehicle condition, rather than a genuine invitation to inspect items properly.
If a company cannot respond to emails, return calls, or answer the phone before you’ve even placed a bid, it seriously raises concerns about how issues would be handled after a purchase. Complete lack of professionalism and accountability. I would strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with them.

Reading the terms and conditions add…
Reading the terms and conditions add 150% on to the hammer price, that’s the price you agreed to pay.
So if you pay £10000 final bit including vat should be no more than £25000. 👍
Do not send them your money!
Once you make a bid they have you over a barrel. The total price I paid was well over double the bid price. They will also invoice in two parts so you think the deal you have doesn't include all their fees however the second invoice covers this. As you have already paid a large amount of money you are trapped. After this they will then start charging storage and late fees. These people are crooks.

I purchased a Mitsubishi Shogun from CAA through iBidder and am not only immensely happy with the vehicle itself (drives like a dream) but also the service offered by the team. Any questions I had were answered direct on their phone number, no waiting for email response and we're really helpful with any queries I had. Not only that but I have a vehicle which would have cost me double bought from a dealer. I would highly recommend these guys, they have great stock and my particular purchase had full Mitsubishi service history stamps in the glovebox with the original paperwork and manual. Very pleased thankyou Capital Asset Auctions!

BEWARE you have been warned about buying through Capital Asset Auctions.
You end up paying 115% of the purchase price. They include Administration costs, Buyers premium, Special conditions all plus VAT.
They first send you an invoice including Purchase Price, Admin Fee plus VAT
Once you have paid this they then send you another invoice for Buyers premium and a Special Condition Charge at 20% of purchase price.
READ THE T & C’s BEFORE YOU BID ON ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
This company is joke

Sold my old Transit and bought its replacement in the same afternoon; dropped off the keys, grabbed a coffee, then watched the hammer fall online. Money arrived next morning and the new van two days later.
Capital Asset Auctions surprised me…
Capital Asset Auctions surprised me with how personal an online auction could feel. Matt video-called to show every panel on the Audi I was eyeing, zoomed in on tiny stone chips, and even started the engine so I could hear it idle. The car arrived spotless, paperwork complete, and I still saved nearly £5k.
Scam
Absolute scam of a company not only with the extra charges but an absolutely frightening second invoice which if you don’t pay Land you with £150 a day charges until you do or a huge cancellation fee do not use this company .
